Great video Johnny! I agree with the crack burgers, if anything probably half the amount of ranch. I made them a few weeks ago and I didn't use the whole packet because I just knew it was going to be too much. Hash brown omelettes, heck yeah! Made them a few times and they never disappointed.
Great job with the different cook ideas. I did try the crack burger but was not impressed and it was hard to keep together. The hash brown omelette is definitely one of my favorites. I would make any of these except the crack burger. Although I like your idea of using less ranch, so maybe👍😊
I'm going to be making those Hash Brown Omelettes for my wife. She loves hash browns! I want to try the smash burger taco-with a twist. I learned to make my own taco seasoning and corn tortillas. I'll never go back to store bought! So easy to do *and* healthier. I think I'll sprinkle some seasoning in the meat before hitting the griddle to give them a little flavour and use taco toppings more so than pickles, etc. Should be fun to try? I am trying to cut down on the amount of bread I consume - that's why I picked up on making the corn masa tortillas from scratch. No wheat.
for the burger taco - take that crispy thing and wrap it in a big burrito and brown the big one on the griddle. you've now made a modified taco bell crunch wrap
Ranch on a burger is great. I just don't think I'd do it on a griddle. It's too easy to over do it. My grilled burgers are my most requested meal. My daughter's are always asking for "daddy burgers". I use a 5-lb log of 80/20. Break up the meat in a large mixing bowl. In another mixing bowl add 2 cups ranch seasoning. 1/4 cup granulated garlic, 1/4 cup onion powder. Salt/pepper to taste. Mix it up and then mix it in the meat a little at a time. I just make the patties by hand (roughly baseball size). It yields between 13-15 patties. Throw them on the grill and have at it. Your taste buds will thank you.
Great vlog…..loved the hash brown omelet. We make this all the time. Haven’t tried the egg roll in a bowl yet but it is definitely one we want to try. On the smash taco burger. Thanks Janet I will give that a try. Have you tried it with Taco seasoning? I wonder if that changes the flavor enough to make it more of a taco and less of a burger. That would make more sense.

The traditional flying Dutchman, if you just order it at in-n-out, is just 1 patty, 1 cheesr then another patty and another piece of cheese. If you add grilled onions they are Chopped up and put below the bottom cheese, you can order then with a slice of grilled, which you did but they put it between the cheese...you can ask them to do it the way you did it...but yeah...I am with you, would make that...just an onion smash burger is awesome
Oh well thank you that make so much more sense. Why in the hell is everyone putting the onion on the outside. I'm glad you told me this bc I couldn't see the appeal. I'm assuming the internet took hold of it because the onions look so good on top. I mean I did the same thing so I'm no better than anyone else I guess lol. Thanks so much for the clafication my friend.
If I may also jump on this comment, animal style is the patty is grilled after you put mustard on it and you add pickles to the burger. Normal In-N-Out burgers do not come with pickles. They also put extra spread on the burger, too. I believe their website has all of the details on the "secret" menu.
@@7Wolf2k absolutely man I appreciate all the info. I home in the videos but I really don't know what it actually is. Try that crack burger with less ranch and an egg mixed in as a binder (like meatloaf). I think that might help with the issues
That's exactly what I was thinking as I was making it, "damn we're half way to ranch meatloaf" lol. I'll try that next time.
congrats on the new house
Thanks so much Robert.
Egg roll bowl then hash omelette for me! I really enjoy your dry humor and tell it like it is approach. Do more stir fry recipes and new approach to griddle recipes …example: Griddle recipes from around the world! I like to find unique and tasty recipes to try! Let me know your thoughts.
Thanks Paul, and yes I can try more stir fry recipes.
Which is my fault I should have probably done the research on there site rather than watching other people's channels where they just make the wrong burger. Tha ks for chiming in and for watching!
Another excellent video, thanks for the effort. You saved me a lot of wasted time!
You're welcome!
nice honest review of hype foods 👍
Thanks.
Good video Johnny ,,, I would have watched sooner but I hurt my legs and arms from jumping off my griddle ! Then rolled off my deck onto a cactus then getting up stepped in dog poop. The worst part is I was bear footed but after ten beers I'm all better now ! LOL really I'm only kidding my friend. THANK YOU FRANK FROM MONTANA.....
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 sounds like quite the experience Frank!
I’m just going to do a regular smash burger, that good enough for to people I know . Thanks for the video…I wish you and your family will.
Ya I would too. All the gemick stuff isn't worth it. Thanks
Maybe add an egg to the crack burger to hold together works for meatloaf as always great vids
That's a very good idea.
You gotta put taco seasoning in your meat for a smashburger taco. You fixed yours like a regular smashburger so of course it's gonna taste like a smashburger in a crispy shell.
ya that's all I was seeing for the huge videos were people making them like burgers. It makes a lot more sense to do it like a taco.
Another great Vid!
Glad you enjoyed!
Outstanding!
After much hype, I finally gave that crack burger a try. I and my family were all so disappointed. I suppose if we’d never had hamburgers before, it probably would have seemed good….no it wouldn’t. It just doesn’t work. It was just gross.
Johnny, I’m glad that you’re here as a voice of reason, so that I know what hype to avoid. From now on, I’ll just wait and see what you have to say. You haven’t steered me wrong yet.
I'm glad you feel the same way. I always get torn because I never want to lie and Everything make isn't always great. However I definitely don't want to be the guy who just takes a negative approach for the sake of being different. I just got to be honest. Thanks for the comment and thanks for watching.
let's go!!
Turn that dutchman into a chopped cheese. 😂
Yup, Id like that better too.
I love watching Sam too. Odd that his recipe wasn't stable
I'm sure it was me somewhere along the way bc he is an unbelievable cook. But still I wouldn't recommend the burger.
Damm son glad to see you doin good new house you kid getting big you doin good I'm proud of you oh and hope MoMA treating you good you deserve it hella good job keep it up
Thanks so much John. We feel very blessed to have this house.
An egg or two would help keep them crack burgers together.
Brother, ya done missed the green spot on that second one. Just saying. lol
"It's good.. It's good. Would I make it again??...............NO!😂😂
😁😁😁 Too many others things that are great on the griddle for me to be messing around with that lol.
