How to fix a 'popped key' on a Casio CT-S1 Piano Keyboard

  • This is a super easy ten minute fix - essentially just showing how unscrewing the keyboard and putting it back together fixes the issue for those (like me) reluctant to simply force the key back into place (I don't know if that works - I didn't try it). If the keyboard wasn't seriously broken already - I didn't want to break it further with a bodged 'fix' attempt and, needing to fix it quickly, taking it apart seemed like the best option.
Taking the back off the keyboard (as shown here) will probably void any warranty you have - but if you find yourself some space and are reasonably careful you won't break it.
The only equipment I used was one Philips screwdriver and one watchmakers screwdriver (Philips head) plus a small container for putting the screws in as I removed them.

Thanks for this, I have a slightly different issue, will try to fix myself, I had already replaced the input and output jacks on mine, seems like the quality is not that great. But I still love this board, perfect for gigging
