Can you confirm one thing for me?. Check your BMW manual book. And find if somewhere it is mentioned that this is E20 fuel compatible. Because I don't find any E20 Sticker on G310GS.

@@SSJMotoworld yes I can confirm this is e20 petrol compatible. I always fuel the same and get some good mileage too

Honestly this is bad value for money just like an iPhone, people buy it because they can say they own a BMW. This bike is really not worth buying unless you want to do the aforementioned. It is slightly expensive to maintain but not too much, the more expensive bikes is where the expenses pile up after 20-30k kms.
If I would ever get a BMW bike, it would be a higher tier one, this 310 was thrown in to test the waters.

@@QuirkyAvik hmm kind of Agreed with you at some points.. Thanks for the comment 🙌
if you ask me is IPhone really worth buying it at higher cost answer is yes always. The comfort, security and dignity it gives compared to lagging android, I will choose iPhone 100 times.
      🏍️
Coming to bikes, you got to choose between RE, KTM and BMW rivals in the segment and the purpose of adventure, off-road and touring while satisfying driving pleasure, looks 🫠 and brand Recognition. Considering all factors BMW convinced me.
      RE Himalayan 3.80L
      KTM adv 390 4.37L
      BMW 310 Gs 4.3 L
It’s still a better choice of course.
And the bigger bikes 1250 Gs or higher are not for Entry level adv tourer, you may choose them after having great experience on mid segments and you know it hits 25 Laks.
Overall with all comparisons, permutations combination
I was pulled towards BMW Gs, again no bikes are bad but some engineering is.
Each individual likes and priorities differ when it comes to bike selection. I respect your comments 🙌

There is nothing German about this TVS apart from the name. 900 rupees for a checkup?? are you kidding me? RE and Honda do that for free. I own a Hero Xpulse and a RE Super Meteor 650 Hero offers 5 free services and RE offers 3. The prices are not justified brother.

    • @Gs_Rider_Sid
      @Gs_Rider_Sid  3 місяці тому +4

@@varunverma2187 yes Varun, other brands offer free services like RE but also comes with some extra perks as repeated issues.
Don’t go by the TVS name they have RR and RTR but the GS series are flagship of BMW, An entry level adventure motorcycle gives you better comfort and far more better on other competitors in this segment..
and Yes price on lot higher side But I still felt it’s worth it.. considering all facts
More than anything the BmW brand badge ads value while RE or Xpluse won’t.
On the other side of you pick up TRK baneli, a bigger brand costs 11k for first service and again nothing free

@@Gs_Rider_Sid Tell me something , Does BMW manufacture the 310GS itself? RTR 310 is better equipped, Xpulse is a best in its class, Himalyan450 will give the 310GS a run for its money any day. What does the 310GS bring to the table that it justifies this price/cost. And please don't say Brand Value.
People who run behind Brand name will never understand a subpar product being shoved down their throat by a manufacturer.
I hated RE when they kept on relauching the classic 350 with that god awefull 350 engine. When they made a god enough bike in terms of Super Meteor 650, I bought it. I respect a good product. Hero with Xpulse is yet another example. I bought my 2019 Xpulse for 1.02 lacs on-road. That bike with more than 50000 km is still running strong, Super Meteor with 16000 km in just 12 months has been a dream of a machine. There are cons to both my bikes and I accept it. The price at which these bikes are available make the cons a little easy to ignore. SM650 @ rupees 4-4.5 lacs ex showroom would have been a No from my side.
Additionally TRK bennelli is another awefull product. It is designed in a bad way. The engine is to sluggish and that bike is too heavy. The frame is too stiff. It barely manuvours.

Even BMW's 900 series made by Chinese manufacturers. So what about then? Will you not pay extra premium for that? Common man

@@SSJMotoworld Can you buy these made in china 900s with other manufacturer's name on it? I guess not. I am talking about paying a premium just for the sake of a brand name.

@@varunverma2187 I'll answer you question by an example: 300 series engines are made by TVS but the R&D and engineering behind is BMW's. So If someone offer me TVS apaches 310rr or BMW G310rr I'll still go BMW one although they are same bike. Which matters to me most is Brand value and after sales service. TVS's after sales service is Pathetic in maximum places. Which is not case with BMW'S. Because they are already working on BMW'S Big bikes. So they know how to service a small 300cc bikes . Mind that difference.
