Just bought my Lowrider S and it delivers Saturday…love the Moons headlight and MS road warrior..so many mods coming and appreciate the vids..ride safe
And did you use a shorter bolt when you went to attach your road warrior fairing extensions onto the moons bracket ? That stock bolt is way too long no?
is it bad that im just dreading having to put back on my road warrior fairing for that 😅 Things a pain to put back on with the headlight right where i want it lol
Yeah it's a tight fit for sure! Just keep everything loose so that you can adjust it to the right spot. It takes a minute to get everything right, bu once it's in place you should be good to roll. 👍🏻
Lol try putting a Plex audio system on the bike too... super tight fit! I just bought this headlight and am also dreading having to take my fairing on and off!
What’s up Carson, I have a 23 FXLRS. I’m researching the Moons V2, haven’t pulled the trigger because MoonsMC customer service is nonexistent. I emailed and reached out on the website multiple times asking questions. Any issues with the light in terms of errors on the dash? Moons feel like a dropshipping site that’s not being actively managed.
Cool video. Subscribed. Followed your advice om the Streetbob extention kit. However, MS sent me the wrong extention kit for my FXLRS and I won't get the right one for another 10 weeks. So now I only have the streetbob kit. Did you try mounting the headlight with the streetbob kit? Could it work? Thanks
@@CassidyCarson Mounted it yesterday, and it worked just fine. However, the Streetbob extension is about an inch longer then the FXLRS extension, so some adjustment to the mounting points (forward) is needed after adjusting the headlight to the right position. A slightly longer bolt to accomadate the spacers could also be neccesary. Conclusion: It works fine, but requires more adjustments. At $25 I would get the extension made for the FXLRS.
@@CassidyCarson I was able to depin and remove a bulk of the wiring. Also because I raised my bars and had to use extended cables, I was able to tap into the connector. Super easy. I meant it was easy once I worked out how I was going to do it 😏
I used the Memphis shades metal bushings from the kit I linked in the description. I know a lot of people are just running the rubber bushings but it always felt too loose for me.
I’ve got the bungking crash bar, and San Diego Customs mini floorboards with a Crossthread cycles brake arm, and thrashin supply shifter peg and passenger pegs 👍🏻
Memphis doesn't really give you a "bucket" per say. It's just a shroud that goes around the stock headlight. The stock headlight has mounting points on the actual lighting unit itself, with the moons light, it's a separate piece altogether. Thats why you need the bucket to actually attach it to the bike. 👍🏻
I'm actually pretty disappointed. The light is great. The headlight bucket and the adapter is my problem. They could have taken 5 inches of wire off the adapter. It's completely not weather proofed or sealed just a mess of wires I ended up wrapping the whole thing in electrical tape $24 for an "adapter" that's worth less than $5. The light/bucket doest have a set point to let you know you're centered in so you kinda gotta eyeball it to get it straight. And 50 dollars for a mount? Why not just sell a bucket with wider arms to fit the Softail mount. I ended up building my own. Over 300 dollars I expect things to be perfect

It makes a huge difference!
Love my Fly Eye. Not happy with the customer service from moons, but the products are awesome.

@@FXLRS shit man, it’s been a long time since I did the install, can’t remember, sorry. I think you can run either with some tweaking
Hell yea! Bike looks sick brother. I may have to get this for my FXST 🤘🏽
Do it, dude! It looks great and is super bright! 👍🏻
do you have any info on that wiring adapter from your headlight to the OEM adapter????
Good video! Appreciate the walkthrough. Should be doing this soon. New sub!
Solid video man! subbing
Thanks, brother! Just trying to get this channel up and running so every bit of support is greatly appreciated!
Nice video and nice bike, those levers are sick, what are those? greets from belgium!
Those are lucky speed shop levers. Custom anodize though! 👌🏻
all that wiring is because moons brand their name on Chinese made products and kinda sells them for a premium.
Are you not using the Memphis shades shroud kit with the moons Mc light?
Nope. Using the moons bucket 👍🏻
Why did you buy street bob extension block instead of low rider s extension block from Memphis shades?
Hey did you end up using a spacer for the bucket ?
is it bad that im just dreading having to put back on my road warrior fairing for that 😅 Things a pain to put back on with the headlight right where i want it lol

So do you only need the headlight and the Bucket or do you require the extra wire

Yeah bro their service sucks. They sent me the wrong shorty levers and never tried helping me exchange them for the right ones.
@@Pinche_pancho_ 💯, I left multiple voicemails too, no response at all. I chose not to purchase anything from this company.
Do you still like this light? Has it failed at all?
Would you happen to know the length of that bushing ? Was it 1/4 inch Or 1/2 inch ?
What size is your windshield length ? 13?
Yessir. I’ve got a full review on my channel!
@@CassidyCarson thanks I finally saw it in the comments section ! Appreciate the response and help
Is it the same process for the street bob?
Where did you get the bronze levers for clutch and brake?
looks great. what did you have to order from Moons? except for the light itself. I've got a Road Warrior on it.
You need the bucket bro, it’s all on moons site

It might. I haven’t tried it, but I bet you could get it to work! Let me know how it works out! 👍🏻

Looks great and thank you for taking the time to show us. I wish you would've incorporated the turn signals on the headlight.
I'm just terrible at electrical stuff 😂

I had mine wired to be on constant with the headlight.
Did you end up having to use the Memphis shades metal bushings or did the Moons bracket fit right in there?
I used the Memphis shades metal bushings from the kit I linked in the description. I know a lot of people are just running the rubber bushings but it always felt too loose for me.
So in addition to the Moons bucket kit I’ll need the Moons mounting bracket and FXBB extender?
That’s the way I went. Trackerdie also makes a bracket that I’ve heard good things about if for whatever reason the moons one doesn’t work for you! 👍🏻
What size is your windshield
Is this the 5.75?
What is the part number for Memphis shades street bob extension kit, I have a moonsmc headlight and bucket, please please help
MEB9888
Do you know if you can use it with the stock fairing?
I feel like I have see some people make it work, but I can’t say for sure. Good luck! 👍🏻
Rad
Do you get a red light on the gauge when you turn the highbeam on?
Yeah the security light
Can you not just use the factory headlight case of your harley?
For this particular model no. It doesn’t come with a bucket and the moons light doesn’t have its own mounting point
Looks rad! Which crash bar, and pegs did you use?
I’ve got the bungking crash bar, and San Diego Customs mini floorboards with a Crossthread cycles brake arm, and thrashin supply shifter peg and passenger pegs 👍🏻
Why couldn’t you use the Memphis shades bucket

Thanks keep up the vids👌
How tall is your fairing?
13” 👍🏻
Where’d you get the fairing
Speed Kings Cycle 👍🏻 but its the Memphis Shades road warrior!
Are your T-Bars 14"?
9.5” risers plus stock bars so yeah right around there 👍🏻

I came here to find out how to wire in the turn signals.
Did you find out? Came for the same.
This is why I dnt even want my dyna anymore... 😅 so many squids playing Legos these days
thanks for not showing us what it looks like from the most important position... the rider.
