Yeah, I still liked those live action movies and plan on rewatching them all in the next few days but Cyclops was basically a background character. It's a shame because he was always one of the more relatable characters. It's unfortunate that we have to often remind people that he's the leader of the X Men.

My biggest fear is that they go away from the formula in later seasons. Apparently they are finished with the season 2 story and are in the process of hiring a writer for a season 3. They have a gold mine with the revival and I hope they don’t mess it up down the line.
I like how the series is matured for its original 90’s audience. However they should keep it at the TV14 rating for future seasons. You want kids to still be able to watch it in order to bring in a new audience. Prime example is that they used blood for key events and not just every fight. Ie. “Remember it” or when Wolverine impales Magneto.
X-Men 97 feels like a matured version of X-Men 92 animated series. Since we have grown up and matured in ur taste, felt like they did the same with The 97 series
He would have saved her earlier in the year. X-Men 97 is essentially entering X-Men 98 so we have to consider Spider-Man has had his own thing going on this entire year.
I’m surprised you didn’t say episode 4 motendo was your least favorite, that felt more like a filler. I actually really enjoyed episode 6 covering the Shi’ar and seeing Charles for the first time since the OG series.
for me, the least interesting episode was with Mojo... the same for old series... It was just not interesting for me and too "out of x-men" ynim ..it was almost annoying 😂

Without a doubt, X-men 97 is the best thing Marvel has done in years, if not ever. It captures the insanity of End Game, the heartache of Logan, and the essence of the original X-men 92 and cranked it up to 11. The entire voice cast was on point from the returning originals to the new voices. With Rogue, Gambit, and Magneto being some of the standouts. Every X-men got some time to shine this season, and they even managed to handle the "Wolverine" factor in the right way. This is coming from a massive Wolverine fan, but I'm glad he wasn't involved in every episode. While we are clearly setting up big things for next season for him. They handled so many different stories in a short amount of time, yes I would have loved to have seen the "Inferno" story get more than one episode but they gave us the core essences of it. We got a wild hybrid of the Mutant Massacre, OTZ, and E for Extinction all in a wild ride. While also doing stories like LifeDeath and Fatal Attraction. We also teased Onslaught and the Age of Apocalypse. Whatever Season 2 gives us, it has a lot to live up to. Also all the glorious cameos. This was everything I wanted and more.

In my opinion The only problem with X-Men Season 1 was That they should have shown The X-Men kill way more Sentinels. Storm got a worthless power up just to fly around and get gunned down and Gambit with Rouge should have killed 100’s of Sentinels. I get why they didn’t but this is literally my only problem

I agree the show was great, I understand the fast story telling for such a short running time, hopefully they can slow down a little next season. Apocalypse is my favorite villain, hope they do him right. Exodus is my second favorite, hope they make his character better also
My main issue with this season is the pacing - there are storylines which were suffocated by the fast pacing: the Gobling Queen, the Jean clone becoming Madelyne, the Jean-Wolverine dynamic and finally, Storm having her powers back. Some characters also felt too OP compared to the original show: Gambit charging a Master Mold-like Sentinel, Magneto fucking up the whole planet in seconds, Cyclops using his blasts instead of a parachute and Jean becoming Phoenix out of the blue. If the season would have had 15-20 episodes in total, to let everything breath more, it would have been A+. Now, it's a B+ for me.
While I agree with the pacing issue. I do have a minor gripe with the idea that the characters are too OP. Because the show while also being a continuation, it’s also adapt and fill in an extra 30 years of stories. These characters have gotten disgustingly powerful since 1992. Geekdom said episode 1 was basically a soft reboot and I’d agree with that. All of the character u listed are genuinely that powerful. Gambit can essentially kamikaze himself like that, Magneto has done the planetary EMP thing and the sentinels call him omega level, cyclops’s blasts are genuinely that powerful the only thing unrealistic about the parachute seen is that Scott’s head isn’t his center of mass so his head would fly back, Jean and the phoenix force are pretty much a synonymous entity - ever since they made the idea of the white phoenix of crown. The phoenix force is a multiversal entity and Jean will always be connected to it. In hindsight I do wish they built that up before she uses that power (probably cos of pacing issues) but it’s not a foreign concept that comes out of nowhere.

Would have benefited from development, like they did in S1E5 of the original, with the X-men in the Danger Room, or like they did with Jubilee in the current show, against Mojo.

I just stayed up to rewatch the complete finale and I'm in love with the writing. Every line hits with such intensity and impactful meaning. Every little cameo and Easter egg in the background is just extra toppings to this masterpiece.

I saw the first episode and when I saw Gambit dressed like that at the kitchen that made me stopped watching it. But I was told is not about the agenda, so I'm gonna give it a try

I think they’re relying too much on nostalgia and the flashy Marvel vs Capcom 2 This show was a big nothing burger they’re rushing old stories to go to the modern ones (Kamala mutant, Krokoa, x-23, Synch, Juggernaut the xmen, Gay Bobby, etc) and does everyone find this weird that Morph changed into Jean to tell him «I love you, stay with me» to keep him awake instead of being himself as a good friend to him? And the end is all over the place we all seen Apocalypse Before it’s like they don’t know how to end it but they wanted Disney to green light another season and it worked It’s kinda selfish of them I mean, follow the rules of the old show or better yet, the back to the future trilogy everything in one movie was solved but a lingering case still isn’t You know? Just like that.
The art style and animation alone are so quality. It genuinely felt like watching a comic book unfold. It's what I felt watching the OG cartoons growing up. It's very inspirational for me as an artist, love it

That is true. The original show even has him remembering the first time he popped his claws during the weapon X program. The original show still operated on the original lore that his claws weren't natural and were instead some form of cybernetic enhancements. The bone claws weren't seen in the comics until just over a year after the show had premiered.
@@XZAVIER-DAA-GOD When you look at how his skeleton is depicted from that era it definitely shows what appears to be a type of cybernetic implants. It's not as basic as just them covering his bones in metal then adding claws.

To me it works because it's adapting 20 years of comics into a continuation of a Saturday morning cartoon. The pacing should be break neck.
