I did not realize you had to have duals "clocked" for cooling when transporting on roads........learned something today. I learn a lot by watching this channel, you guys do everything tractors and trucks and machinery in general.
Your playful nature and light-hearted lack of ego are a wonderful example for us all and definitely why I keep watching. Diary farming is interesting, dynamic and rewarding based on watching your videos. Cheers,ed
I love this channel and family ❤️🙏 i farmed most my life it’s in my blood .. I understand this whole process .. and soon enough there will be another video of the wheel falling off hahaha
I am impressed with your young man. Our country would be a lot better off if young men would work like he does. Andy it is a great that you are passing on your knowledge and work ethic to him. KEEP ON KEEPIN ON
The 9410 is at 126.48 lbs per 1 tractor HP, the 9360 is at 119.44 lbs/HP, the 9560 is coming in at 97.67 lbs/HP, 8360R is 94.44 lbs/HP at 360, 8220 is 124 lbs/HP at 225 HP, 8320 is 100lbs/HP at 250. The 9620 is at 99lbs/HP and if you got in the 70,000 lbs range for the 9620R, you would be at 112lbs/HP to where you said you needed to be. Great video as usual!
Awesome Video, now you have weight on all Your units . Would be cool to see psi on each and horse power per lbs . All so with clocking you save fuel ! Lol . Keep up the hard work ! Thanks for keeping us up to date !!
You are spot on with your comments on cast vs liquid. I run red quadtracks, and you make me feel fortunate not to ever have to fight with ballast issues like you are. Now I do fight with rocks into the rock box, so my ballast issues are related to being stubborn!
cast weights are definitely the better choice vs liquid, especially with radial tires. What I have read is that liquid prevents the tire from flexing and essentially makes it like a bias tire resulting in more compaction.
Good looking machine you have there now Andy, I would be I was always taught that you need weight to pull weight. Horsepower is one of those things that it's better to be looking at than looking for. Best of luck with the spring tillage and planting, hope you have better weather than we've had in the U.K been non stop rain for months.
Andy don’t listen to them nuts you know what you need on your tractors you have done this long enough keep up the good videos I always look forward to seeing you all
Back in the late seventy's I worked for Steiger tractor manufacturer . On the biggest tractor at that time was the Steiger Panther lll at four hundred and fifty horse power . With all eight tires filled three quarters full and two hundred and seventy gallons of fuel on most types of soil . Than pulling the most appropriate pieces of equipment for that amount of horse power . There would still be choose to a thirty second of an inch slippage . Witch is a lot of tire wear . At that time the widest tires were thirty six inches wide . I understand the reason for so much weight .
You 110lb per hp is interesting. We have small tractor for landscaping company. It's 48.5 hp and it's 5,300lbs. Exactly your formula. Your a wealth of knowledge
I've seen "pan pullers" ballasted out the wazoo, front racks, wheel weights, and juiced tires. The new Deere looks almost as awesome as the new Freightshaker! Great video explaining things.👍👍
Beat juice is good for a liquid blast and it weighs more then water but then back to what you said it does cost more if there getting changed or the danger of taking them off
Generally, the guys on UA-cam with the big fancy shop are not really making any complicated repairs. They're like cleaning stuff and then sending it out when stuff gets serious.
We had local dairy farms that had beat juice in the tires on a 8320 with independent from suspension they constantly snapped axles and joint from sloshing while packing silage
I hope you guys have some laughs around the dinner table at the expense of some of these “experts “ that feel the need to share their brilliance. Was interesting to hear the weight to hp ratio, often wondered about that but never heard a real number. Keep up the good work
Wow, excellent Video. Whole lot of increadable information . Thank you for sharing Andy. Lord the kids grow up so fast. Andrew is sure coming into his own. God Bless
The LSW tires have several advantages over tracks. 1st - you save fuel. It takes more engine HP to turn tracks than it does tires. 2nd - It costs less to initially buy tires over tracks and its components. It costs less to replace tires over tracks and its components. 3rd - LSW tires offer a smoother ride than tracks on the road and in the field. Faster times means money saved. Making money is the name of the game. 4th - In my opinion, I think LSW tires can go through more muddy conditions than tracks. 5th - Have you seen some the UA-cam videos of farmers with tracks, and what it takes to clean out the mud and junk from the tracks and its components? A lot of cleanup time with tracks. And then,.....if you do a lot of road travel with tracks, you have to sprinkle some kind of talc to keep the tracks running cooler.
So that is 20 000 kg for us in the old world. What you need is the Ferguson system, that transfers weight onto the drive wheels. These John Deeres are going back to the pre war era with heavy tractors pulling things around by the draw bar.
Good for you doing the math and correcting the "PROFESSIONALS". Im with you... Give them the numbers. The numbers don't lie. Now the professionals can step away from their keyboards. As always great content. Waiting for another Musical plowing or seeding video. Be good be safe.
Andy I enjoy watching your videos something that I learned from my dad when putting duals on get a bolt that size cut the head off to make 2 studs to help line the dual up it helps a lot. He was a farmer all his life and he is in his 70s now.
I think if you angle sniped every other lug on the edge where the duals are clocked together to where they alternate right and left it would increase cooling capacity quite a bit!!!!😄😄😄
Andy, great information. Thanks for sharing. I have a couple of old JD's with rotted rims because of the fluid added. Added long before I bought them, but will look for weights for everything in the future.
I know that you have probably seen those tire handlers that grab the tire in three places. I wonder if it would be a safer option for you when you are doing such an operation as you were today. Just a thought. Thanks.
I just watched a video by ZK Master Teach replacing a water pump on a tractor that had that same engine in it. Didn't look good. Might be worth looking at.
not shaming you in any way when you have tillage tool on that tractor how will you keep the blade frame from creeping down or is there enough outlets to keep the lift hooked up to combat that
Allllllll of that work, time ,debt load to feed us. In my mind that dealer in Ga owes him $20000 for all that time, work, shopping etc. High respect for our farmers feeding us. Unreal. I wouldn't have the guts to wake up in the morning there.. There must be 3 accountants distributing payments full time.
Thanks guys for another great video. Appreciate it. What are what did he end up with for tires on the little monster last night knew the others were too big I didn't know if he came across something else for it. Just curious thanks. Look forward to the next one.
Do you use liquid ballast anymore? (for a tractor of this size and horsepower) Another thing , should you have some what less for some slippage for safety of the driveline longevity?
You're gonna have a hard time finding an implement wide enough to slow down that 9620. Probably be able to hook two pieces of tillage equipment behind it (one for tilling & one for finishing) and it will still keep chugging along...no prob's
Andy you have only been doing this your entire life so I think at this point you are the expert
This video and your in depth explanation was very informative Andy. Can’t wait to see this tractor working in the field. Thank you from London UK
I did not realize you had to have duals "clocked" for cooling when transporting on roads........learned something today. I learn a lot by watching this channel, you guys do everything tractors and trucks and machinery in general.
lol he gotcha. But it does look better
😂
Your playful nature and light-hearted lack of ego are a wonderful example for us all and definitely why I keep watching. Diary farming is interesting, dynamic and rewarding based on watching your videos. Cheers,ed
Thank you
I’m watching Andrew absorb all your knowledge. Look out world.👍🏻💪🏻
Andy you need a wheel jack. You do a lot with rims, come on sponsors where you at ? This man needs a wheel jack
I know right
Hi Andy and Andrew !
Good job everybody !
Thanks Andy for your time and everybody have a good day at the farm ! 🙋♂️
KEEP ON KEEPIN ON
I never thought about the cooling aspects of lining the chevrons up like that. Goes to show you learn something new every day. Thanks!
That point seems to have been negated! now that the wheel distance is greater.
LOL.
It’s your tractor you can do what you want with it. If somebody don’t like the way your doing it they can go buy their own.
I love the Eaton gear knob on the little truck, I burst out laughing when I saw that..😆😆😆
Andy you were right the tractor needs to weigh 68200lbs
The 9410 is at 126.48 lbs per 1 tractor HP, the 9360 is at 119.44 lbs/HP, the 9560 is coming in at 97.67 lbs/HP, 8360R is 94.44 lbs/HP at 360, 8220 is 124 lbs/HP at 225 HP, 8320 is 100lbs/HP at 250. We added cooling fans to our tractor tires for cooling on the road. :)

Great video Andy
Andy, you got a beast of a tractor right now. Those extensions make the tractor look much better now.
Back in the late seventy's I worked for Steiger tractor manufacturer . On the biggest tractor at that time was the Steiger Panther lll at four hundred and fifty horse power . Andy and the guys on 802 Farmer channel prove you don’t have to have the biggest fanciest shop to repair any equipment you own.
Generally, the guys on UA-cam with the big fancy shop are not really making any complicated repairs. They're like cleaning stuff and then sending it out when stuff gets serious.
Thanks for explaining the difference in the blades
I love the look/muscle of the articulated tractors.
I always wondered what the purpose of weight on the tractor and the wheel's. NOW I KNOW.
Seems like i always learn something. The clocking of the tires. Even though I have nothing to do with agriculture,
It always makes good talking.
We had local dairy farms that had beat juice in the tires on a 8320 with independent from suspension they constantly snapped axles and joint from sloshing while packing silage
When I was pricing blades for my 8770 it was 50% more to go with a grouser. The yellow just goes better with the John Deere green anyways
What did you end up paying for your Degelman
Great video. Andrew is growing like a weed. He is a fine young man and very talented.
I hope you guys have some laughs around the dinner table at the expense of some of these “experts “ that feel the need to share their brilliance.

Wow, excellent Video.
Whole lot of increadable information .

Going to be a real nice machine for pit work.

Thanks Andy & Andrew NICE!!!
for bunk packing tractors, could you use the rear hitch huge concrete block weight? to bad there are no undercarriage weights..
There’s always that “one self proclaimed expert” that once read something somewhere in a comic book that knows everything. 😂😂😂
That is GREAT!!!!
So that is 20 000 kg for us in the old world.
What you need is the Ferguson system, that transfers weight onto the drive wheels.
These John Deeres are going back to the pre war era with heavy tractors pulling things around by the draw bar.
What about a smaller amount of liquid in the tires to aid in cooling on the road?
Once the liquid heats up it has to naturally cool therefore keeping the tire hotter longer
@@FarmingFixingFabricating yep, that makes sense. Thanks for answering
Enjoyed your video Andy have a great day.
Can you add suitcase weights to the back of the tractor?
Alex and Sarah are going to be some proud working ground this spring! Tractors to be proud of ! 🤗
You will definitely want your BEST operator in that tractor.
Especially when packing the bunk. Probably looking at him in Andrew.
Did not knew that hp/weight ratio. The thread alignement with the tires either. Road wear and tear / field traction.
Most of your followers are just you tube farmers and we can’t wait to see what new iron this beast of a tractor is going to pull
Good for you doing the math and correcting the "PROFESSIONALS". Im with you... Give them the numbers. The numbers don't lie. Now the professionals can step away from their keyboards. As always great content. Waiting for another Musical plowing or seeding video. Be good be safe.

Beautiful machine can you drive that down the road at that width just curious.
Yes
I think if you angle sniped every other lug on the edge where the duals are clocked together to where they alternate right and left it would increase cooling capacity quite a bit!!!!😄😄😄
A John Deere salesman once told me "There is no such thing as used weights, you just add paint and they are new.
Bill Finch maybe
Had the exact same experience! Never any used iron weights.
😂 he’s not wrong
Andrew I like the Eaton fuller shift knob on your little truck 😅
Andy, great information. Thanks for sharing. I have a couple of old JD's with rotted rims because of the fluid added. Added long before I bought them, but will look for weights for everything in the future.
Haters gonna hate!! Many fail with that kind of mentality, you keep on keeping on!!!
Just googled the 747 Big Bud 1100 hp ,weights in at 120000 #,right at the 110 # per hp
Keep them coming Andy. Springs work is coming. Can't wait to get in the fields . Plant 2024 is coming soon
Hi Andy great looking tractor keep up the good videos watching from the uk
Another good Job Andy Thanks for the video's 🚜👍🇺🇸
Sounds like that dealer needs to send you some money 💰.
I’m sure glad he lined the tread on the tires up! My OCD was killing me!😂😂
😂🤣🤣😂👍🏁
That is some line up of tractor's with duals on.
Love your videos keep up the good work
Another great video Thanks Andy.
I ENJOYED WATCHING THE VIDEO ANDY 😊
Great video on weight distribution on tractors for the maximum traction that meet John Deere specs.👍🚜
Enyoying a nice long vidio Andy. Thanks
We use the Beet juice as it will not rust the rims.
Can still add some suitcase weights on either side of the hitch no?
Good kid. He noticed it going to hit the fender
I know that you have probably seen those tire handlers that grab the tire in three places. I wonder if it would be a safer option for you when you are doing such an operation as you were today. Just a thought. Thanks.
Probably
Thank you for another great video. Cheers
“The guys like to grind them down the bunk walls”. Lol. How do to pack the edge otherwise. Hahahha
I just watched a video by ZK Master Teach replacing a water pump on a tractor that had that same engine in it. Didn't look good. Might be worth looking at.
Andy, stop asking your kids questions, they are all in the witness protection program. LOL
Andy, does the weight/load change influence the steering ? In other words does it steer with the back or front according the weight or load ..
Turns in the middle
Great video Andy that things a Beast
Dingleberries and weights and farming all go tegether...Nice seeing Jr out n about.....Great Vid👍👍👍👍🍺🍺🍺🍺🐄🐄🐄🐄🌽🌽
Good thing you got the extension hubs for half price at least.😊
That is a sweet looking tractor ANDY
I didn't know you clocked the tyres for air flow 🤣 🤣 I thought it was just to make the tractor go faster ( I am kidding by the way)
not shaming you in any way when you have tillage tool on that tractor how will you keep the blade frame from creeping down or is there enough outlets to keep the lift hooked up to combat that
Good question, we have enough outlets and currently have it in remote 5
Do they have any way to pin or lock the blade mount up or do they just rely on the hydraulics?
No there isn’t
Tracks are awesome on hills ( they’re preferred in the Palouse area) but they don’t have a place with any livestock operations on a farm.
Allllllll of that work, time ,debt load to feed us. In my mind that dealer in Ga owes him $20000 for all that time, work, shopping etc. High respect for our farmers feeding us. Unreal. Andy, you and myself are both fighting anorexia and you and me would not need to add any more weight to a tractor if we were driving it!
Simply put, Deere would not offer the weight packages if the tractors weren’t engineered for them and vice versa.
Nice proud father ending on video.
Good on Andrew, he picked up on near the fender ,not blindly following directions
Andy is raising some wonderful kids.
LOVE the jaw jacking! I like to think it makes me smarter, well better informed.
Do you use liquid ballast anymore? (for a tractor of this size and horsepower) Another thing , should you have some what less for some slippage for safety of the driveline longevity?
Just need some dry weather now!
Also time to invest in a tire grabber for the skidsteer!
How many gallon of fuel does your new tractor carry ?
400
Can you put weights between rear fenders?😊
You're gonna have a hard time finding an implement wide enough to slow down that 9620. Probably be able to hook two pieces of tillage equipment behind it (one for tilling & one for finishing) and it will still keep chugging along...no prob's
Thanks Andy nice job 🚜 🚜🚜🚜🚜🚜
What drone do you use?
Dji Mavic pro
