Here's a hot take: Why does Series 4 even exist anymore? It made sense before spotlight caches, when they were just on the collection track, when they were doing regular series drops. Now though, with 90% of the cards being released right into S5 anyway, it seems pointless.
I think if all season passes were immediately put into series 4 after pass ends, the f2p players or new players who missed out, would feel like the climb to play isn't as steep. Yes the pass value would decrease, but overall the meta & community would prosper. Next a general increase of boosters, credits, gold, tokens & even borders from collection level tree would help immensely. Weekly missions can stay the same. Removal of gold from conquest rewards basically made me stop playing it. Then lastly alliances could use a point increase & reward increase. Not a lot just like 15-30% more
My hot take: you should be able to pin variants/ art of cards. Im tired of seeing a card art that I've been wanting for a while now. But i don't have the resources or its just smarting in the long run to save me resources. And it would be nice to be able to pin it and wait until i can buy it safely
If you don’t have enough gold for a particular variant they want you to buy more gold. They don’t want you to just save up F2P gold until you can get it for free. The things they let you pin are almost always priced in currencies that cannot easily be bought, like collector’s tokens.
@@SnapThority There are sometimes bundles available that include tokens but there is no way AFAIK to trade arbitrary amounts of gold or real money for tokens.
Especially with Collections being such a short time frame! I would love the Trippy Surfer variants, but wasn’t dropping $150 on the same week.. now I have to wait probably a year or two to finish the collection
I’m really against reverting Loki and Prof X. However, I would like to see a revert to Elsa, Warewolf by Night and Silver Sable. More so than reverting cards though, I’d rather see buffs to stuff like Nick Fury, White Queen, Enchantress and cards like that.

pogs were little tokens essentially, treated like playing cards. and they were small and round - kinda like the shape of avatars. I have a box full of my parents old pogs
Also, totally worthless but treated as being a collectibles. Like, there was “rare” Pogs, but the way you played Pog was throwing a heavy coin (Called a Slammer) on top of the stack and you got to keep the ones that were knocked off the stack. So, you literally wanted to throw out your cheap common pogs on the stack and keep your rares at home… so there was no reason to play… because you’d only get cheap pogs out of it. I think Loki needs to start affecting your hand again my idea for him is 2/2 activate: replace the cards in your hand with cards that started in your opponent's hand with -1 cost (minimum 1)

If conquest has a good variant I'll grind it out in proving grounds to gold conquests but when I play through the Month I can normally hit infinite then just leave the regular game there
Hot take: Having some trash meme cards that are bad build arounds is a good thing and they have been too aggressive in reworking these designs. It opens up design space that would be toxic if they were meta. I am talking about things like Crystal and Adam Warlock. None of these cards are good now, but even if they were, the essence of what made them unique designs in the first place was lost.

Honestly i feel like the real issue for me is we seem to balancing off a wrong base power per energy. Feels like 1 energy for 2 power for the vanillas makes a ton of sense, so shocker should be a 2/4, cyclops a 3/6 etc etc. obviously they would then need to rebalance around that (silver surfer alone would need to change alot)
Adam didn't say rank was only down to play time. He said it is weighted in favor of play time over win rate. He is correct. You have to commit a large portion of every day to climbing rank in order to hit Infinite and even WAAAAAAAY more time to climb rank after hitting Infinite and stay high ranked. Been there, done that, laaaame. Not sure why anyone does it, but to each their own. I rather play Conquest after hitting Infinite, and I'm happier because of that tbh
I don't have time to finish the video right now, but just wanted to say your response to the first take is spot on, and it's honestly so refreshing to see a good take regarding Marvel Snap 😅 I swear half the community has no idea what they're talking about yet is still _very_ angry about it all the time. (Not that there aren't legitimate complaints to be had, of course there are, but it's honestly hard to take the community seriously sometimes)
There was a pattern with season pass card spotlight release. They just stopped. It was 5 months after the season. They stopped with Hope Summers in july.
You should absolutely just be able to go to a card you don't own in your collection and buy with tokens. It wouldn't solve every issue, but it would do a lot as that sort of "secondary market" type of thing.
Each new season, the last months cards should come back in the spotlights with the new cards or have card packs with s4 and s5. You can probably do 5 cards per pack.
The Slot with the Spotlight Cache card in the store should turn into a second rotation slot after aquiring the card and cards should actually rotate and not constantly repeat. Trying to get US Agent for 2 weeks now and instead i saw the same ~5 cards over and over
I think a 10 to 100 scale is just as impressive as a 1 to 10 scale. I wouldn’t mind if they doubled the numbers I actually think that’s a really good idea for balancing
Secondary market does exist, you can buy the card you want with tokens, its just not convenient: it has to come through series 4/5 shop rotation and its expensive
Great take on hot locations. It's very humble for you to admit that they're a great part of the game, but you just personally don't like them or they're not your strength. I think they're super important for metagame variety.
first, I love new dr. Oc and think he's a way more fun and fair card as he is now. Second, i think it's so wild that people still don't understand MMR. I feel like it's always like how you explained it in every game I've ever played that had a legitimate competitive mode. People at the top at there because they're good! me and the other plebs are at rank 20k because we don't play a lot/are not as good! and that's ok!! It's a fun game i play for fun!!
100% agree with your best decks take. I look at them and make homebrews based on whats going on. This month, it has led me to make my favorite brew BY far. Scarlet Spider Galacta Cap Marvel Agony Kitty Peni Jeff Wiccan Zabu Psylocke Nico Red G
They need to remove gold tickets from caches ASAP. I haven't played conquest in months and I'm basically being punished for it everytime I get a gold ticket in a cache.
Almost all of those nerfs, including Leech and Doc Ock, were created because SD couldn't figure out what to do with Arishem, so they destroyed decent series 3 cards in favor of a shiny new Series 5. I believe the fix to Arishem was and still is a blacklist of certain cards in his deck (though he could randomly draw from this blacklist) though 18 totally random cards would work too. Ironically the issue with Arishem is how consistent he actually is in his draws, as Snap is full of good, playable cards. Having players know that their chances of drawing Shang or Enchantress or Shadow King or pre nerf Doc Ock and pre nerf Prof X or pre nerf Loki was basically 50% chance made the deck too consistent. The "flavor" should be extra power for the whole game and a random deck.
Card aquisition is simple. Make a market. Every card costs 5k tokens. Price drops happen like series drops should, regurlarly, and "old cards" and cards that drop costs now 2500. Scrap the series nonsense. Rotating cards, if we want, cost 500token less, but it rotates daily, like card of the day. And 80 day period can and should value as 500 tokens (?)
My hot take: Revert all of the High Evo nerfs. He would honestly still be power-crept to hell, but he'd be better than now. Playing a big Hulk turn 6 feels awful, and if you're an Inshenaut deck that wants a turn 7, a lot of decks have Legion now, and you're massively outmuscled by most decks if you give them a turn 7 anyway.
Actual hot take because I deleted twitter: December is the snap Month where they release the best and worst card of the year: 2022: Darkhawk Sentry (b4 Anni released) 2023: Blob and selene 2024: Galacta and Banner. What are they doing that makes then release such polarizing cards?
@raz1572 hard to say but I would lean banner is slightly but noticeably better but both need mediocre shells around them (evo for banner and Old bad viper and Valk for OG sentry).
modern cannonball junk just does what profx cannonball junk did but with a little more effort put into it and less fun for the opponent, so please revert prof x (i'm only 20 seconds into the video so idk if km says something like this) i don't think they should revert doc oc or quinjet though. i too was incredibly sad and started heavily doubting the stability of the game when doc oc got changed but the current version fits into the game better and, well... it doesn't empty the opponent's hand. imagine surtur decks with old doc oc.... as for quinjet, i think the reversion would be feasible with arishem but not with any other cards that would benefit from it. getting arrows, stones, demons, and your 1-drops from nico, moon girl, and mirage for free using a 1/2 ongoing isn't balanced imo, if it isn't balanced with sera (it wouldn't be) then it certainly isn't balanced with quinjet. powercreep showercreep, we do NOT need to bring back old thanos. and for typhoid mary, i honestly think that the nerf from -1 to -2 is completely justified because typhoid mary at -1 is just powercreep incarnate: 4/7 minimum and 4/10 maximum. it's balanced now, to say the least, and makes me feel the smallest bit of hope that the balancers won't let powercreep COMPLETELY overrun the game. also as for loki, i completely agree and think that he and blob should be reverted (at least blob to 14) ok so edit: i've watched the video now, for some reason i forgot that professor x permanently shuts down a lane and loki destroys mid-range, i'm taking it back i don't wanna see those reverted anymore. i guess i'm just too used to current prof x being a partial lane shutdown that i forgot that old prof x preventing moving meant that thanos and jeff would be the only way into the prof x lane
look mommy my tweet made the title card I'd prefer Loki over Wiccan in most cases since it makes the match more interactive. As for the other candidates, I agree that they're better off as dead cards like Galactus and Leader to open up design space for future cards, I put "personal picks" because I used to play lockdown without ramp, and most of the obnoxious 5-costs were fair game in that context since you were giving up so much tempo for most likely a one-cube retreat. Also unnerf Queen storm
Bleep that. Not a single Six drop matters, old leech just controlled the game. Yet we have alioth in Wiccan, RG literally everywhere and SK and Shang do absolutely in this meta. I prefer a I draw card I control vs I play insert tech card here.
Professor X together with Alioth was the strongerst thing to do in old Thanos decks but cannonball killed the card ;/ . Old Doctor Octopus was the most toxic card ever in game.
(not so) hot takes: rhino should have the jeff/space stone ability added to his effects and should be 3/4, giganto should be 6/16, bast should be 1/3, yellowjacket should be 0/3, all of the no ability cards except hulk and wasp should get +1 base power to compensate for having no abilities without high evo, and hydra bob should only move when the opponent snaps
Here's my leech hot take. Make him this Cost:0 Remove the text from cards in both players' hands that have the same cost as the turn this card was played. I.e. play him t1 remove the text from 1 costs.
Prof x is super easy to cheat out on 4 now with Luna Snow/Penni Parker/Psylocke. It definitely shouldn’t go back even though I playing a deck right now that cheats it out. Doing it now has some weaknesses. Old Prof x would be just too much.
I've been waiting days for this! Did I make the cut this time? Probably not. Haha I haven't had a real hot take lately. Everyone seems to agree that everything is bad. Haha
Another hot take video and I will continue to comment with the same thing as previously videos. My hot take BUFF SUPERGIANT. Some extra power would be nice on her
Idk if you'll read this but I wish SD gave me a reason to increase my rank it doesn't mean much to be high rank for non streamers and even then big deal. Give us prizes and rewards.
Glad to be in agreement that they should not bring back lockdown based degen plays. “You cant play cards in the card game” makes the game worse much more than other metas
Regarding Clickbait. I looked through your titles and I don't really see the horrible "THIS CARD IS THE BEST CARD" or "THIS CARD BREAKS THE GAME", but more the quesitoning kind of clickbait. So in terms of that, i think you are good. No weekly BEST OF THIS OR THAT Hype. D4re plays also does it correctly for a new creator. He leans into not having all cards and shows the decks he works with that lack cards with titles like "I did not expect this deck to perform that well" or "This deck is fun" instead of "THIS DECK IS BROKEN!!!!"
Lmao how many devs does it take fof one feature constantly pushing shit back and pushing people away. How many devs does it take working a full day to get one thing done there are multiple devs I mean... Think about it like this if you took a whole months with multiple other people working on one smallish feature to only push it back a month I know they're working on other stuff too but it's like dk they only work an hour a day holy shit.
I disagree strongly with your prof ex doc oc cannonball take. Prof ex and doc oc were staple fun cards with risk and skill involved. One new card shouldnt pentalize those cards, the bew card should be pentalized instead. Make cannonball remove power and ability or just one of the two. Prof ex and doc oc were some of my favorite cards in the game and now they are just completely dead.
I agree so much with the infinite ladder take. This has always been the most confused takes of Jeff Hoogland saying that ladder is not a measure of skill, because it measures playtime more. For him that might be the case, because he is exceptionally good at the game, but most people are not at a top level. They will stop winning as much and level out to be in their rank that measures their skill after less than 50 games in infinite. And whoever is top 10 infinite is one of the best Snap players. You have to play a lot WITH A CONSITENTLY HIGH WINRATE to get there. That can only be achieved by players who are very good at the game and is an accurate measure of skill for players competing against each other. There is a reason MMR based ladders have been integral for scouting Esports talent since their inception.
"Bring back Loki" "Start Forrest fires when it snows outside" People ask for stuff like this because that pandoras box was fun for them and they thought it wouldn't be undone

"I always enjoyed old Loki"
YOU DON'T SAY
Bleep that. Not a single Six drop matters, old leech just controlled the game. Yet we have alioth in Wiccan, RG literally everywhere and SK and Shang do absolutely in this meta. I prefer a I draw card I control vs I play insert tech card here.
I've been saying they should double every number in the game for months. Both power and energy. Give them so much more control
Professor X together with Alioth was the strongerst thing to do in old Thanos decks but cannonball killed the card ;/ . Old Doctor Octopus was the most toxic card ever in game.
This is why nerfs should be the last resort of balance changes. Keep buffing cards to increase the power of weak cards best practice.
Make him this
Cost:0
Remove the text from cards in both players' hands that have the same cost as the turn this card was played.
I.e. play him t1 remove the text from 1 costs.
Prof x is super easy to cheat out on 4 now with Luna Snow/Penni Parker/Psylocke. It definitely shouldn’t go back even though I playing a deck right now that cheats it out. Doing it now has some weaknesses. Old Prof x would be just too much.
100000% on Loki. Give us that archetype back
Also caiera has been in 50 different comic issues.
I've been waiting days for this! Did I make the cut this time? Probably not. Haha
I haven't had a real hot take lately. Everyone seems to agree that everything is bad. Haha
I've been using a Prof X Wiccan deck to climb to top 1k. No one expects it in this economy.
Another hot take video and I will continue to comment with the same thing as previously videos. My hot take BUFF SUPERGIANT. Some extra power would be nice on her
I think Prof X could use a slight buff tbh. Not sure if +1 power would make him too strong or not.
Idk if you'll read this but I wish SD gave me a reason to increase my rank it doesn't mean much to be high rank for non streamers and even then big deal. Give us prizes and rewards.
I think Blob caught a stray and could go back a patch.
"Wather than win wate" in a vewy mewwy chwistmas video? it was fated!
Loki was nerfed specifically because they wanted to hit arishem.
I have a hot take; Bah Humbugsmas 👌.
Glad to be in agreement that they should not bring back lockdown based degen plays. “You cant play cards in the card game” makes the game worse much more than other metas
They should revert annohilus and sentry while we are at it.
KM IS JEWISH TOO my heart is whole. Chag sameach 👊🏼
3 5 draw a card loki would be safe in this post turn 2 3 drop in arishem
Why is Shang Chi okay but Leach not???
Old loki being a thing is better than wiccan decks being a thing. Yes
Reverted Loki would make me glaze SD for life, I miss it sm
Down with Loki.. forever
I do kinda miss that smug SOB.... I have a sick snow guard variant that I'll never use 😢 here's to Victoria hand I guess...
KM everyone is saying banner sucks
Old Loki would love to play Wiccan lol its very greedy
Huh I just made huge batch of orange chicken today lol 🤤 Man asian food is GOATED!!! Not a hot take btw
Nice! Didn’t realize you were part of the tribe!
Baby Hands tribe? Content Creator tribe? What tribe?
jewish lmfao
@ ::laughs while wearing a yarmulke:: writing this reminded me I need to go buy candles
I miss prof x
Bring back Leech, Prof X and Doc Ock?! No just no. Why would anyone want that
Lmao how many devs does it take fof one feature constantly pushing shit back and pushing people away. How many devs does it take working a full day to get one thing done there are multiple devs I mean... Think about it like this if you took a whole months with multiple other people working on one smallish feature to only push it back a month I know they're working on other stuff too but it's like dk they only work an hour a day holy shit.
Prof X is good still in arishem or with galacta
when KM hates dumb ppl who ask dumb questions even more lol
I disagree strongly with your prof ex doc oc cannonball take. Prof ex and doc oc were staple fun cards with risk and skill involved. One new card shouldnt pentalize those cards, the bew card should be pentalized instead. Make cannonball remove power and ability or just one of the two. Prof ex and doc oc were some of my favorite cards in the game and now they are just completely dead.
Skill 😂
😂
spittin, same thing they did with Storm and War Machine.
So I got loki in that bundle today and out of 5 games, i saw him twice....when he got pulled into the game on last round by Malekith and Gladiator XD
Nah
legion is the quake she told you not to worry about
I agree so much with the infinite ladder take.
Bruce Banner should be “transform when an opponent ability affects a card on your side of the board”
yeah, would make sense with the rage lore. "If one of your cards gets destroyed/afflicted with negative stats, rage out"
The old , don't make me angry you wouldn't like me when I'm angry mechanic.
"Bring back Loki"
"Start Forrest fires when it snows outside"
People ask for stuff like this because that pandoras box was fun for them and they thought it wouldn't be undone
If Loki never gets buff and stays a dead card would be a sign that the world is healing, Loki has always been the boogeyman whenever he is in the meta
