Why do people go missing in the Appellation trail? 1. People underestimate just how difficult the trail is and don't prepare enough. 2. People go hiking alone and don't tell/stick to the path they will take 3. Tree cover makes areal location near impossible while rough terrain makes land location very hard. 4. Weather, animals, cliffs, loose rocks, mudslides, injuries, illness, and the occasional bad person. Even if you don't wonder off after the mockingbird that imitates a child's cry (real thing) If you don't stay on the main trail, it's easy to get lost.
just a heads up, it's 'appalachian'! also, as an emt, all of these reasons probably take care of most missing persons cases. so many people think that in the modern world there's no way they'd get lost or be put in danger, but that's entirely untrue.
Wicked as always, Darkness. Thank you for sharing these encounters. AWESOME Big Thanks to the people who sent in their encounters. Sorry you had to go through all of that. You're in my prayers.
Well the stories in this episode were amazing! Gotta love the stories by author CPhilly100, thanks a lot as always for making our weekends so much better Darkness!😁
I love the background noise during this. Sounds really cool. Almost like coyotes when they have those yipping and howling episodes, but like slowed down or something. Really eerie! 😮
As generic as they are (sadly almost all of them are always wendigos, skinwalkers, sasquatches or werewolves... and if writers are feeling _slightly_ spicier but not too much, greys/aliens/crawlers/hidebehinds/etc...) they'll always be infinitely more interesting than oooOoOo spooky transluscent ghosty goo moved a dooOoOor and a furniture while whispering me sweet nothings and knockknock jokes.
You know I used to like camping, but the more I hear these stories I'm just like, ummm no. I just consider myself I guess lucky in that aspect but don't want to push my luck
I would love stories of the strange and unusual that are more wholesome than disturbing. I know its' a big ask. Just curious if you have any in your files.
For the record, I did respond to DschinghisEli, but for a second time a comment I made disappeared shortly after publication. An excellent way to control the amount of criticism you get.
It is EXTREMELY important, if one goes ghost hunting, to take multiple precarions and there are ways of protecting oneself. Must be vigilant at doing and using these things. Wear as a necklace or have tourmaline in pocket, connect with your higher self first and ask for protection, ask angels to surround you with white protective light barrier, ground yourself with barefeet and ask Mother Earth for protection and more.
So the families of the missing 6 Hikers also buried the story, and refused to file Missing Person reports? I guess going public with the story never occurred to them, unlike thousands of others have in situations like this.

I'd love some help from fellow Darkness fans. I'm searching for a particual story that was narrated by Darkness Prevails, which featured a haunted light that moved, a couple of creepy good 'ole boys in a boat with chains, a friends cruddy Chevy, and scary singing children all in one story. If anyone can help me find this particular story, I'd be super excited. Really wanna listen to that one again ❤
I love that Story as well.L CREEPY! It's was on A TV show titled Paranormal Encounters I think where pplj narrate their true paranormal experiences to accompany the TV episodes

That should cover about 99~100% of the disappearances in the wild yes
@ieb2507 Even those. Unexplainable/unconfirmed =/= supernatural.

The first story is almost identical to a found footage movie called Cold Ground 😂
That’s probably where the writer got the idea for their Creepypasta.
Omg these were amazing story's!! Loved these! ❤️ ❤️ ❤️

And here I thought the only devil Char Aznable ever encountered was the "White Devil", RX-78-2
The devil's elbow is just under 2 hours away from me
How would I prevent going missing one name CHUCK NORRIS

I think C Philly and Cricket Girl should write a book together. Id buy it.
What national forests are these in the stories? So I know not to go to them lol
Cheers 😊
i love the background!
🌙✨️🌙Darkness Prevails in The Gloom❤🌙✨️
I can believe tales of monsters born of this earth, before I will ever be creeped out by these corny UFO stories.
How do you k ow they're born of this world?
That’s hypocritical. Both of those genres of arg/fictional story are equally ridiculous.
Just in time ❤❤❤

Wow, Six Hikers go missing as a group, and are never found. You would think that would make the evening news.
