Josh s if it’s fully forward is the tractor not pumping oil to the rams and them out fully. I would have thought.... let mower down fully and restart the lever in neutral. That leave mower in the working float position and rests the hydraulic pump not to have it pumping continuously. I’m open to correction on this.
Im not the most technical person so I couldn't be sure but I thought when you pull the lever back into the middle it comes out of float, just the way I've been taught to mow but I could be wrong
The Emerald island is looking gorgeous young man and those machines look great because you look after them too. I will get back across to Eire in due course because I want to take a look at the village my father came from in County Cork. All the best!
Buena máquina de siega! Ojalá supiera inglés para preguntarte si es acondicionadora de rodillos o de mayales porque estoy mirando una para mi negocio 😬 buen vídeo!
Thank you so much! Aunque yo trabajo con alfalfa y me recomendaron rodillos de caucho. Muchas gracias por el esfuerzo y tiempo de contestarme, tienes muy buen español. Un saludo 😝😊
It goes in to float when you push the spool valve leaver passed the constant pumping.. we have the exact same mower as yours and it works way better when u put it in to float rather than leaving it in neutral.. that’s what we find anyways
Some views is right lad!!! Looks a heavy crop but the top links on the mower got a twist or two I reckon.....jaze Ger she shaved it fair play!!!! Weather is knackered for sure....but i'm GONE FISHING lol!!!! Stay safe buddy (Via con dios lol)!!!
@@PaulA-il7ms …..Sorry but ya misunderstood, The top links on mowers are used to tilt or rise the cut height..... you twist clock or anti clock to get the height ya want under the blades fella... no no ya got me wrong... that man and his kit no matter what it is are always 110%.!! Depending on the crop I always changed blades and twisted the links one or two turns for heavy lodged crops like the stuff Ger is mowing. Cheers lad!
@@gerry6420 ye lad I know how you feel our 2nd cut silage was done bout 3 weeks ago, was bet to the ground got 2 days of good weather, cut it and then for the next 3 weeks it rained constantly.... We got lucky
Do you keep that mower in float , it needs that to operate in uneven ground or if you hit something.
086LAVEY it is floating. Watch it. Why do u think it’s not.
@gerry6420 I always mow with hydraulic lever fully forward (in float position) ,I see you pull the lever back when the bed goes down

Josh is correct, the rams will lock at that height and not let the mower fully float on its frame and skids in below.
Another great production Gerry. I played it on the 42" tv screen, I might as well be in the field there. Wish you luck with the weather🤞
There’s something absolutely wonderful about hearing a mower start up 👌
Thanks Gerry keep up the good work, hopefully the weather is in our favour

Hello from Canada..........do a live stream......might be a bit of fun
Hi bob. I do live stream occasionally. I will be doing live stream in the coming days durning calving season. Thanks for watching in Canada 🇨🇦
thats a great cop of grass
Why don’t you put the mower into float when you drop the bed into the grass ?
Mikey Montgomery it is floating. It adjusts with the contours of the field. The bed also floats. You can’t see it under all the covers

Mikey Montgomery yes I know the float podistion I’ve never used it. I’ll try it this week when mowing the silage
Mikey Montgomery position even

The mower is was brand new only a month ago or so , I doubt it has hardly a scratch on it never mind twisted .

Hard to beat the Kverneland mower
!! My brother-in-law is from Carrick on shannon is that near you Gerry??
Michael Kinnear no im over 2 hours away from carrick on shannon I’m afraid.
When will ya bale that Gerry?
Northern Ireland? How about Co Armagh or Co Down or just the north
Tomherbs yes I stand corrected.... the north Co Armagh 😊👍
Grass is fairly bet into the ground
da boi up the road from jims house welcome to the joys of farming in Ireland. Should have been cut 6 weeks ago.... weather didn’t allow us

Did u ever have a John deer more??
Liam Collins never owned one but used both 8ft and 10ft John Deere mowers. Good machines
Why don’t u use the grouper on the back
Jack Relihan was going to but baler man didn’t want it grouped 🤷♂️
