Thank you for this wonderful updated patch ! Just want to ask whether it work on the helix floor ? Coz I’ve noticed you have made the patch on Helix Lt
That is an excellent question! For “Praise” I tweaked the preset and added in a stereo rotary speaker block before the delay for the chorus lead line. It’s not as straightforward to modify so would you like a direct download link to the “Praise” preset? EDIT: I went ahead and uploaded a preset for you: www.dropbox.com/scl/fi/18igo9ee6c0xla31fp47z/WGT-Praise-Elevation-Worship.zip?rlkey=dkg5ntbeb8l8m032jmt6tr11a&dl=0 Be blessed!
Hi, thank you so much for this and all you do for our community! Your prior comments on how to implement stereo helped me a lot. Question - do you have thoughts on how to create a tone like that of Cole Kellam (UPPERROOM) on the Helix? Particularly on his short titled "rhythm guitar is underrated imo". I think it's not toooo different from your "Drive" snapshot around 12:40 (which sounds great on its own), but his tone has a sort of clean/beautiful drive sound that I don't know how to replicate. Could it be due to him having high-quality individual pedals that are just naturally going to have a leg up on the Helix?
Hi Jonathan, you are most welcome! Good question. Cole’s rhythm tone is a great transparent and juicy one, but I believe it’s achievable with the Helix. Try modifying my preset with a couple of these ideas: • Turn up the amp sag on both amps for more tube compression simulation so you get that squeeze effect when you hit the strings hard (my settings are very clean on purpose - for clarity!) • Replace the high/low cut EQ block with a parametric EQ and cut low mids a little (250-300 Hz) and boost high mids a little (2.5-3 kHz) • Reduce the mix or intensity of either compression block in the chain to get more natural attack coming from the guitar Hope that helps!
@@WorshipGuitarTheory Thank you so much! Haven't been able to try yet (taking a short break from praise team as I have a big exam coming up), but I'll definitely do this when I get a chance!
Hi! Thanks for stopping by. You should be able to connect to your Mac Book via USB and use HX Edit for Mac (OS X and OS 9 supported). Download link for HX Edit: line6.com/software/readeula.html?rid=12216 Note: you can find all the downloadable Line 6 software here: line6.com/software/index.html. Secondly, the presets include amps and cabs, so do not plug your Helix into the church amp. I recommend you plug direct into your church sound desk via XLR or using 1/4" cables into a DI that feed into the desk. The patch is stereo, but you don't need to use stereo out from your Helix. You can just use L (mono) out. Talk to your church sound team about it.
Hello, just found your channel from All About Worship Guitar. Thanks for sharing the preset. I have a question about stereo presets. Playing Stereo with headphones feels and sounds incredible. But do you play stereo live? If you have to play mono do you sum to mono, or make a mono preset? Thanks
Hi! Most welcome 🙏 I usually play stereo live. I think our sound engineers pan the channels partially. If I have to play mono I sum because some of my blocks notably shift between left and right and don’t think it would work only sending one channel to FOH.
@@WorshipGuitarTheory When you use a stereo preset and use the Left side of xlr (mono) I believe it just sends both channels through the one line. I play in mono at church and use some worship tutorial presets that are in stereo and they sound fine when in mono.
Gos bless you for your efforts in putting this together. I downloaded the patch on my helix LT, the amps and effects were all there but the snapshots weren’t. Do you have any workarounds for this? :)
Thanks for checking in Shaun! You’ll need to go to global settings and set: Preset Mode Switches - 8 Snapshots Then tap on the MODE switch to toggle from the default signal path view to snapshot view. Hope that helps 🙂
I downloaded the presets, but when I dragged them into an empty preset in the helix editor software, it only loaded in the amps, not the effects. I was wondering if you could help. Thanks! 😊
Hi! Thanks for stopping by. Some questions to help: • What Helix model do you have? • What firmware version? • What version of HX Edit? • Also are you dragging all the presets or just certain ones out of curiosity?
I have the hx stomp xl, and I’m not really sure what version of firmware and HX edit I have. I’m pretty sure it’s 3.70 though. And yes, I am dragging all the presets. Thanks!
Yeah that explains it. Only the “WGT AMPS” presets will work as the HX Stomp models only have a single DSP and can’t import full Helix patches designed for the Floor/Rack/LT models.
There are some great HX Stomp presets out there with “complete” rigs - check out these ones: ua-cam.com/video/agSLGdSVfcg/v-deo.htmlsi=4cgAXAanlULNDyDC ua-cam.com/video/NwKntm_bg0c/v-deo.htmlsi=bWJzec-5HxQuShce
@@p.4890 Hi! The amps-only preset “WGT AMPS V2.hlx” which is included in the download is compatible with HX Stomp but as such I haven’t created a HX preset yet.
It’s an oldie but still a goodie! If you want value for money get the LT like me. Has all the models and same DSP power as the Helix Floor/Rack, but about 75% the price.
