Here is a behind the scenes clip of Khabib Nurmagomedov and Team AKA along with Islam Makhachev doing some grappling drills. This was before quarantine, and Khabib was training for his fight against Tony Ferguson, which is currently not in the line up. SInce then Tony Ferguson has been defeated by Justin Gaethje who will now be facing Khabib for the title. Khabib usually leads wrestling practices when he is in town at AKA for camp. You will also see.Umar Nurmagomedov, Arjan Singh and many other fighters. This is what fighters call hand fighting for position, it is a good drill for balance when you are locked up with another fighter and much more. You can pretty much see the great training environment and energy the champ brings, and why all the fighters at American Kickboxing Academy love having him as a teammate. @@shyeamalanmanimaran1635 that’s literally what martial arts has always been about and there are plenty UFC fighters, One FC fighters, Rizen, K-1, Glory fighters etc. who all exhibit respect, no trash talk, humility. Martial arts is centuries old lol, Abdulmanap in terms of those kinds of values didn’t add much. Bless his soul.

Why Khabib is the GOAT 🐐 :
1. 28-0 never lost a fight, dominated all of his opponents, just barely lost 1 round vs Conor when he thought he'd see how his striking is with him and even then he landed the far crisper, harder shots on Conor and in my opinion won that round too
2. Routinely has come back from long lay offs whether due to injuries, suspension or religious obligations and it has never affected him, no such thing as ring rust with Khabib.
3. Was ready and willing to take on 5 different opponents for his title bout unlike Jon Jones who flat out refused to take on Chael Sonnen on short notice, something which was a first for a headlining UFC fighter!
4. Title defences aren't a good measure of greatness and here is why. GSP got his first title shot in the UFC after 2 wins, lost and then got his second shot after 5 wins. Jon Jones got his title shot after 3 wins after a DQ loss. Now compare that to Khabib who got his title shot after 10. If Khabib was given the opportunity to fight for the title as quickly as GSP or JJ he'd have a bunch of defences just like those guys. Off topic but this is the reason why I don't regard Conor's status as first double Champ as anything more than marketing simply because others wanted to go for a second belt but Dana didn't let them. A lot of people who keep shouting about title defences from the roof tops are VERY narrow minded.
5. You can COMBINE all the facial damage Khabib has taken from his 12 UFC fights and it will be far less than what Jon Jones, Tony and GSP have taken in a SINGLE fight.
6. Khabib does not have the judges in his pocket like Jon and GSP do, Jon arguably lost to Gus in their first fight and Santos. GSP CLEARLY lost to Hendricks, was deflated during the announcement of who the winner was and then decided to retire knowing he got away with one.
7. Khabib has never tested positive for any substance, meanwhile Jon has multiple times and pretty much has a pass to pulse as much as he wants, him testing positive should withdraw him from GOAT talks alone!
8. Unlike Jon, Khabib doesn't rely on a MASSIVE height and reach advantage whilst fighting midgets like Jon does. Even with Jon's height and reach he can't keep himself getting outboxed by Cormier every time.
9. There are no pictures of Khabib busted up looking like a bruised clown or in hospital getting treatment after a beating like there are of Jon. There are no videos of Khabib limping out of the octagon after taking a beating from his opponent like there are of Jon. Khabib may fly like an eagle out the octagon but certainly not limp!
10. Khabib did all this in the MOST stacked division in all of MMA. Simply the best. I believe there were a few other points which have escaped my mind so I'll leave it at that unless I remember later on. In short Khabib is the definition of domination personified.

GSP is a 3 time world champ and was champion for 10 years. Moved up in weight. Khabib isn't even close to what GSP accomplished. Khabib has never fought any wrestlers. He fought McGregor and Dustin which both would get destroyed by GSP and GSP's opponents from like 8 years ago lol. GSP fought high level wrestlers. Oh and not to mention beat both the top welterweights at AKA at the time easily. John Fitch and Josh koshcheck. Both with better wrestling credentials than khabib and on steroids . But khabib fans are blind think he's invincible. Oh and why hasn't khabib moved up to 170 if he's so good? I mean every other great Champion moves up in weight but khabib.

My 2 favorite fighters and toss DC in there as well. All seem to be very humble, good men. And EXCELLENT fighters!
You will never see this two in a fight in the octagon. They are best friends as we all know. Not matter how much money they throw at them to fight, they will refuse without question nor discussion. Would be great to see who would win though. But they know each other so well that they won't be as "fierce" fighting against each other. If I had to fight a friend that I've known for 20 years, its like a fighting a family member that I love and I just cant seem to hurt them. Hell, I'd end up hurting myself emotionally if I won and beat someone you've known for 20 years and is a brother to you. Someone who has seen your ups and downs in life then beat them in a sanctioned match. Unless that friend agreed and choreograph a fight just to earn the 30 million dollars lol! Then we do a coin toss to see who will win that match.

@LOSO Not really. Grappling is a loose word, changing its meaning depending on who's using it. By most common usage, grappling is just something resembling bjj, with a lot of butt-scooping and submission attempts.
That's why you often hear youtubers claim Damian Maia is ""the greatest grappler of UFC", even though his stand-up wrestling is mediocre at best, and he doesn't have nearly as dominating wrestling top pressure on the mats as Khabib, Islam or Khamzat.

Imagine this: Khabib vs Maia, who would win in the following 10 matches?
- Freestyle wrestling
- Greco-Roman wrestling
- Folkstyle wrestling
- Catch wrestling
- Sumo wrestling
- Senegalese wrestling
- Sambo wrestling
- Combat sambo
- Judo
- Jiu-jitsu
I think we can all agree that most likely Khabib would beat Maia in all those match-ups, except for jiu-jitsu.
So if one claims that grappling equals all styles, and that Khabib wins Maia in 9 out of 10 of these styles, then how is it possible that Maia is the better pure grappler?
The reason is that, intrinsically you're still equating grappling only as bjj.
And that's exactly my point from the beginning: when the title says "grappling", people will automatically think "bjj" (i.e. submission is the only legitimate way to win), disregarding all the other ruleset styles which favor more positional dominance for striking (pinning) or devastating street fight ending slams (throws / takedowns).
Clearly in the video above, they are not doing bjj because they're not even allowed to go for submissions. They're wrestling for takedowns and top position only.
Edit: LoL, sorry for the unintentionally long text. But it's an eye opening example. :D

Only bits and pieces. I was filming 3 days a week for about a month. A lot of it was sparring footage which I will never air unless the champ wants to put it out after he retires one day. That was more for him. But I do have one I may put out soon.

hello AKA, as there are travel restrictions right now, how will khabib prepare for camp? As Justin has a Wrestling background they may have some good plan and he lives in the USA(so no issue for camp preparation) but considering khabib in Dagestan, how you will be goona prepare for camp?
He has a big gym in Dagestan too. Will return when flights are available.

I want to learn fight as like khabib I am big fan of him. how can I do this please help me. I am from india of a small village. I have no any academy which train me fight. have you any multiple videos which can train me. or any youtube channel
It's great the way both try, let things happen but don't really go for it (e. g. Takedowns). It's just a very technical back and forth to just be in that situation, train ans give things a try.
Its something that's so important to do. Just going for it in a competitive way is very important. But playful, flowing training with your partner is the way you get used to the positions, learn new techniques and improve the ones you already know.
