Inside AKA gym with Khabib Nurmagomedov.
Young Daniel Cormier, Cain Velasquez, Luke Rockhold, Jon Fitch, Josh Thomson and others.
#Хабиб #Дагестан #Махачев
Cormier's help was clearly a factor in helping Khabib get to the next level.
thats a joke, khabib learned his skillset long before stepping foot on american soil
@@stephenmiriaja4322 That's a stupid statement, there's a reason Khabib joined AKA and trained with the likes of DC. There's always room for improvement, take it from the man himself lol
@@stephenmiriaja4322 lol no the fuck he didnt. u muslim illogical fucks need to get with reality. Theres a reason the best dagis are the small group who went to AKA. Their striking got way better...their grappling got much better for mma..just watch khabibs early fights he culd not PIN guys for shit lmao. Cormier/Fitch and guys at AKA taught them a lot. Get over it. They had a good base but nowhere close to what they turned into due to AMERICA and AKA
Of course DC is elite when it comes to MMA. Not to mention his wrestling credentials are better than Khabib’s or Islam’s. Dude literally finished 4th Olympic wrestling. Not many people at his level when it comes to wrestling or MMA.
@@stephenmiriaja4322 sambo alone is different from mma wrestling buddy, you could be world class at sambo ,judo and bjj, but mma grappling/wrestling is different ball game and Cormier is the shit on that department. If bones didn't exist and cain velasquez didn't fight at heavyweight way back, he could have been the greatest of all time.
Look how young they all are!!! Such legendary coaches and fighters!!
young and juiced
@@naturalianoss😂
They are so young...even the coach...I couldn't believe Luke...he looked like he was in Highschool
@@naturalianosscope harder
@@H982FKL-TG they probably are, like no shamed in it every gym is, and this is what like 10 years ago where a lot of current banned substance hasnt been banned yet so there is definitely legal juicing going around here, u cant fault them for it.
it is insane this guy has over 100 matches in east, but when he comes here he accepts he is a student and always open to learning. his morals are awesome.
I agree! Most humble champion ever! He understand that what may work in the east may not work here. Very smart!
Khabib in aka alone before he bring his friends. He really put Dagestan on the world map.
his father talks about the decision of letting someone else from another country unkown to him take his son, but he understood what it meant. One of the best decisions in MMA history
Nope…Dagestan was known way before khabib. That area has the most gold in wrestling in the world long before khabib was known. Khabib was known worldwide after the Conor fight which was considered recent compared to how long Dagestan has been winning gold medals
@@tricallyourmamaThat's true, but Khabib definitely put Dagestan on the map when it comes to MMA and the mainstream. Wrestling is still a niche sport with a limited exposure, and even within the sport most people just knew Dagestani wrestlers as "Russians" and not many were aware of Dagestan as a distinct place.
He definitely made Dagestan more known worldwide, and inspired a whole generation of MMA fighters from there.
@@saadx7724 Yeah i didnt even know there was a country named Dagestan before, but then again I never followed wrestling or MMA until Conor was talking sht to everyone
Nope, i u fan of Olympic, i always hear about dagestan..
This is what TUF should look like. This is what real team work looks like. Not some crazy drama show to attract audience.
I hear you but you gotta admit it created a bunch of savages still killin it in the game today
Sadly UFC is all about drama for entertainment
yeah, but this kind of relationship takes time
Eh, TUF is a show and UFC is a business. “One big happy family” doesn’t make for good TV, and doesn’t sell PPVs like discord and fighting does. Just the way of the world.
This is what TUF should look like if Dana would hate money.
What a team! So many champions produced by AKA. Such a testament to the Coach!
Like Dominic Toretto said in the fast and furious movies,” I don't have friends. I got family.” That’s probably the reason for they have so many champions…
What a nice guy is DC, he was like a big brother for him
he came, he train, he conquer. 🐐
He smesh
Yes against only strikers and people with negative records
@@FredrickHoxinville casual statement. Young Khabib beat prime RDA before he became a champ. And only 2 his opponents had negative records. For your information, many champs like Kamaru Usman and Conor McGregor lost to people with negative records
@@FredrickHoxinville dayum... khabib dominant grapling game make all his opponent just "average striking guy"😭
@gattikawekas6449 He only fight strikers what are you talking about hard not to dominant when I'm your on the ground fighting people who are strikers
Back when Like Rockhold answered questions like a normal person, instead of trying to sound like a ninja warrior poet
Lol so true
Keep hating brotha, just a little more and you’ll make it in life
@@nyashnader1nah mate I love Luke but he has to stop with the corny shit he says a lot of the times
@@solus47 I don't hate Luke at all. He was a massively underrated champion. I just wish he wouldn't try to talk like a mysterious samurai who can only communicate in riddles
Conceive believe achieve
Man really was just a legendary time for AKA with some of the greatest champions and future champions the sport has ever seen.
True! I will say they're arguably even better now though with Abdulmanap's students coming there.
Makhachev current UFC champion, Usman Nurmagomedov current Bellator champion (and future UFC champion no doubt), Umar Nurmagomedov future UFC champion, lots of talent still there.
@@ar9214 not even close
@@MultiPcExpertGhost are you stupid?
My respect for DC skyrocketed as he was a big influence on Khabib and Khabib too for being loyal after success.
"dc is the funniest guy in the world" i love their friendship sm 😭😭😭
Islam worst religion
'lost' footage like this really is a true gem, thank you for this...
Deep down we all want to be part of AKA gym under the guidance of Coach Javier and friends like DC, Cain, Khabib etc.
Brotherhood is important for every man
You can just sign up in the gym
They are all soooo young man! Wow... Love dc& khabib together since day one 😎
What a journey, from this old images to the last words of Khabib in the octagon "Dc, I love you brother"
Khabibs little vlogs are so cute, and you can tell DC really was like a big brother to him.
Here before it goes viral later on.
me too
Congratulations
Same homie
4:52 that was the french sparring partner of Khabib I remember his interview in a french mma podcast describing how skilled he was: u can't get up
UA-cam incel shit right here. Being on a video early isn’t an accomplishment
When the days where the gym arent full and Khabib is just another person.
4:15
A legend was born
Khabib came to AKA by himself and show the road to his people in dagestan how to become champion, thats why all his friend respect him. What a Guy
Khabib really got much better after training with DC
@@blaktobor6253Champions makes greater champions
@@blaktobor6253stronger too probably, imagine grappling with Luke, DC, and Cain as a LW lol. Glad it worked out for khabib.
His stand up improved drastically after joining AKA, Javier and his camp are underrated for what they've done in the sport.
His jiu jitsu coach at AKA taught him to use the fence and he stuck to it.
Little did we know khabib would go on to be one of the all time goats 💪❤️
Khabib walked in and said, "this is my gym now." 🤣
something really wholesome about this, must have been a tough time but you can sense the excitement and motivation in him.
In a foreign country not knowing the language very well, working his buttt of.
It's like watching home videos lol
Khabib a great example for all men to be faithful to religion, people, fighters, enemies, thier wives and the best human being on this earth💯
This was the infamous AKA days where so many fighters got injured there yet it bred so many champions at the same time. I know the saying is old but the first time I heard “iron sharpens iron” was from this gym. I can’t imagine the scary sparring sessions at that time.
Iron sharpeneth iron; So a man sharpeneth the countenance of his friend. Proverbs 27:17
sharpen deez nuttss
The guy that was mostly injured all the time was Cain and that was because of some of his stupid weight lifting exercises. I don't believe it was training. I've seen his ridiculously heavy leg presses and then obviously he ended up with shitty knees.
I love how much DC and even Luke took to taking Khabib under their wings and coaching him/training with him.
Yeaa Khabib was a cub back then too you gotta remember. Suckling on the teet of DC to grow stronger.
@@booprice5473 No. He was already good. He made himself a student.
Luke is a big middleweight with some fights at light heavyweight; DC is a light heavyweight/heavyweight. They were two to four weight classes above him at all times and he kept wrestling them. When he wrestled someone his own size, it was completely one-sided even back then. You can also see Luke gassing and struggling to breathe vs Khabib.
They still contributed a lot and helped him settle in, coached and trained him, but if they were the same size, it would've been a completely different look.
@@adamburling9551 yes he was good but still a cub. He had to suckle the teat of DC to eventually become what he was at his prime.
@@booprice5473 cringey weirdo, you got some fantasy about suckling on a man's "teats"?
Rare footage. Now only i know Khabib and DC had train together and had a long friendship before.
Bravo!
DC is a freaking legend. While grappling/wrestling, he just handles Khabib like a newbie. Given his height, he took on monsters and dominated most of them.
DC is Olympic level
agreed, only lost to 2 dudes both 6'4, and even managed to KO one of them once at least. crazy doing that at 5'9 and quite frankly, overweight in body fat
@@ryansinging cormiers 5'10 and weighs 230lbs+ and an olympian. He prob the most skilled 205/HW .He was 41 when he lost to stipe. Jones is great but he clearly has an insane physicality

soon they became a good friend
This is national treasure
1:39 - The KING arrives. Looks like a beginning of a movie when the hero is introduced. 💪💪💪
100% that's what I thought ... the way he showed us all the AKA was awesome ... I never saw it before but the new goat was excited to show his new home
The ruthless is already there in early day. Imagine if he still fight now. Champion has no name.
This is a cool video, it’s like a time stamp on MMA history.
Dc and khabib freindship has come a long way

Very nice video. Thanks for sharing.
No wonder they're so close. Khabib learned from DC. But i always see cain in khabib's mauling style
OMG this is HISTORY being made
Such humble beginnings.
this video crazy!! feels like a movie where it cuts to khabib’s pov of the gym saying “aka”
Damn you know the dude is damn good if he's holding down Fitch and Rockhold as a young lightweight
Khabib started as a walterweight before switching to lightweight. 170-175 is his natural weight.
@@maquacr7014 khabib started as a lightweight

Little did they knew…. Undefeated… UNDISPUTED HALL OF FAMER. 🦅🦅🦅🦅
Im Surprised Khabib didnt just walk out the first day like, "cartoons, Jiu JItsu, this bullshit" lol
Khabib is just a different level
Feels so nostalgic and I wasn’t even there lol something about old videos just feels good
Beginning of a goat
Crazy to think they all at some point would have thought "will this all hardwork pay off" And they would have kept training hard and became champions keep working hard boys your time gonna come ❤
the goat himself
Thanks for this video!
Khabib we miss you! The Eagle!
We love you bro!

Also, no wonder Khabib got that good, you have that beast Cormier teaching you. He was one of the best if not the best in adapting wrestling into MMA, Cormier was something else.
Only losing to GOATS. No shame in that.
His improvement has been insane! Best grappler in MMA history
Khabib : We're going eat with that crazy guy.
Khabib is so friendly yo

Great that video of these guys exists before UFC Championships were achieved. AKA & Coach Javi are legendary 👊🏼❤👊🏼
These old clips of the boys B4 the fame is priceless. U could see the bond these guys have from day dot . . It's a beautiful thing 🙏🌟💯🙏🌟💯
That’s crazy seeing them in their early days before they made it, Cain was the only one and man his prime got ruined by injuries.
Amazing footage. From a shy young man to the best to ever do it
That's Jones or GSP.
@@frankiecal3186 The best don’t use PEDS to gain unfair advantage. Jones did that multiple times. GSP tapped to Matt Serra 😭

Nice, is always amazing watching new/old footage
Khabib holding the camera like fighting an opponent !!! Got me dizzy 😂😂😂, Khabib’s fan here ❤
He was a fanboy😂
Never forget when DC refused to pay for Khabibs lunch and Khabib took it personally lmao
crazy how far they've come and how much they've achieved.
Not to mention the brotherhoods forged.
Man has come a long way.
thank you for uploading this
What a time, brings back those OG fighter memories
I really hope Khabib does well in his tea soon to UFC. Massive talent from Dagestan.
I love that you can see him open up once he’s proved himself at the gym lol. I would kill to see the look on peoples face when they first saw him training. I bet the regulars at that gym were befuddled when such and amazing talent came in with a crazy back story of being undefeated from Dagestan.
it benefits them all actually, khabib got to learn some skills with AKA. and the other members got to learn some unfimiliar skills from khabib too during training or sparring. maybe sambo and judo.
i wish these guys would put out more footage like this. I know alot of training footage can be used against them, but when dudes are retired show us the secret sauce bruh!!1
fast forward, they became families and both DC & Khabib got inducted into Hall of Fame together
Classic!! Thank you!
they all look so young especially coach
Man seeing DC teaching Khabib is a legendary moment.
My Goodness wow. They are so young
Even Khabib acknowledged luke’s handsomeness 😀
I like how he did wha DC said and then still asked him to show it to see it with an outside view. That's someone who's desparate to learn as much as he can.
Khabib loves DC so much
Thankyou yuka...please more video bout islam makhachev..
This is a Gem 💎
What bunch of savages that came from AKA!
khabib and daniel should do a movie together theyre awesome xD
This gotta be a documentary footage
Khabib is a legend from round 1 to 3 he didnt show any signs of gassed out grappling took a lot of stamina and he make it look easy
They need a reality sitcom together it would do numbers
good people with good vibes. no wonder it breeds many champions there
Alhamdulillah
