Mitch’s upper range is so unique and rare that sometimes his lower range is overlooked. His lower tones are so warm and smooth. And his flexibility going through range changes is impeccable. Glad you liked it. 🙂

It’s the vocal control he has that for me is so insane. It’s without any effort, he just knows the notes he wants to hit and hits them. Some f the greatest singers of all time couldn’t do that every time like he does.
This has always been my favorite Mitch song ever. Evan Duffy is a genius in composing his own songs and rearranging others’ songs. Thank you Judy for requesting this so others can discover and enjoy it.

This is one of my top 5 recordings of Mitch. I ADORE his voice in this song. Someone once said Mitch likes it when people think he sounds like a woman. I hate to disappoint him, but I have always loved his voice at any range, but especially when he sounds more masc. I love his voice sooo much in this song. And I agree. His voice is so pleasing, so warm, so emotive, so expressive so addictive to listen to. I listen to this song regularly because I love it so much. Thanks for reacting to it

I'm SO glad this got requested! This has actually been my ringtone for a while now. I think this is my absolute favorite thing I've ever heard Mitch sing (and that's saying a lot, since I love pretty much everything he does). It's understated, impressive without being flashy, and just all around gorgeous. And I agree, there's just something about his voice that feels like it pierces your soul. There's just such a sweet, soft quality to it that makes it so sincere, and yet it's powerful at the same time. Thanks for this reaction! And thanks Judy for requesting it!

The Graveyard is another Mitch solo and of course all of the songs on Future Friends is Mitch, instruments and Scott mostly backing him up. He plays synths on all of his Messer stuff.

I don't know what it is, but I hear you. It's not just the high range, it's the timbre of his specific voice at every range. It vibrates my cells or something. It just feels like so much more than just a pretty voice. I keep thinking I've given up trying to explain it, yet here I am trying to explain it. 🤔

I listened to this the other day and it made me really emotional. I love Mitch's voice so much. He's amazing.
"What happened to him?" You fell down the Pentatonix rabbit hole, that's what happened. Personally, I think broadening ones musical horizons can be healthy. Even in genres that are not usually your favorite, you sometimes hear something that you really like. Now you have tons of people recommending you stuff they found brilliant.
I hope now that Mitch is older and more confident, he will not stop himself from singing low if it suits the song or his mood. He did that on the Roses EP. It will be interesting to hear what is coming next.
You should also check out Mitch's cover of Feist's song "Graveyard." It is hauntingly beautifu;. Another underrated cover of his a song by Bjork called "Joga". It was filmed live and if you can ignore the background chattering Mitch sounds absolutely beautiful.
First of all, take credit where credit’s due, SD- YOU and your reactions/personality are responsible for the huge number of subscribers 😁AND the other part in my opinion is your a capella journey (although I am a Pentaholic). I 100% agree with you about Mitch and his voice- I am obsessed with all the different stages of his vocal journey and love everything about what he does. I applaud that you gave Judy her request out of order- she should even get a second one for her SJ creation!

Thank you Judy for helping him so much with his channel. I do that behind the scenes sometimes but I usually don't have the results like this. However you also had a seriously (unknowing to him) talented reactor to work with. SJ is adorable and that was so sweet and thoughtful of you to do that. Sauceydad you have no idea of you comedic skills and just like Mitch was put on this earth to do what he does, you were put on this earth to be a reactor. Yes, Mitch has one of the most amazing voices, you are right, he hits you differently. AVI hits me like that but in a different way. There are few others who could sing the phone book at me and reduce me to a puddle of tears.

Awesome cover . . . but, coulda used some sound mixing to keep the piano from dominating. Is there a 2nd voice in harmony with Mitch in at least some of this? Hard to tell with the overpowering keyboard.
