just changed from Comp Cam Magnum to this Speedmaster Chrommolys ..SBFord 331 ..they work nice ..
thx for the input .. i was worried about using them until i saw them up close pretty good piece for the price
Have those rockers and 7/16 studs 7.3" pushrod on Tfs heads and also stock gutted valve covers. Thanks!! Great price
thank you for supporting the channel
i haves used these rocker arms not bad never had a problem
Time will tell if they are good. They will probably last on a HR spring but not sure about a solid.
100% but this is why i am doing crazy stuff like this on this budget motor if it breaks and take out the engine not much is lost and if it works i saved some money lol
Can you have the groove machined into the smaller nuts.
I guess but at what cost
If the stud fits the rockers tight and the short lock nuts will hold the rocker down you should be good to use them .
I was think that but there is not enough (meat around the bolt to hold them )
Im moving away from this type to Elgin Ice 1.6. They have the original pivot and nuts. they wont back out. I use scorpions and still will get a lock nut back off and need to recheck every 1000 miles. Less noise too.
Elgin are the same as speed master, I bought a set of 1.6 stainless rockers the box looks the same in the video
Review them in 5k & 10k miles.
will do thank you for watching
Time to get a cheap mini lathe and cut the smaller nuts to fit! Always take advantage of an opportunity to justify new tools lol
lol 100%
Have you ever used 1.7 RR'S or even 1.8 ? I've read on the forums they've been used with good success with the stock cam
hi and thank you for watching sorry no never used 1.7 or 1.8s on a setup
@maldo72 I watch all your stuff😎
Have you ever heard of anyone using them? I think I've read somewhere someone used ones off of an LS but then again that would mean LS'S use 1.7 rrs but that can't be right. I may be remembering wrong. Nice build btw I look forward to more!
Yes but are they ratio accurate? Isn’t that the whole reason for doing 1.6’s, I bet the price of those that it’s not even a concern. Crane used to be the most accurate and consistent, our racing program shows that cheap is not value. We use only USA manufacturers for two reasons one, you get what you pay for ALWAYS. Two, we support American workers cause they need to eat first, not China first.
Why? The nut has no bearing on the weight of your valve train? Besides, the longer nut gives room to
install a valve girdle. Quality is more in the metallurgy, not in the looks.
thank you for watching yes 100% metallurgy is key but for this type of build and horsepower level these rocker arms are much better then the factory stamped steel it came with...
Ever see that episode of Maury Povich where all the women were men? They looked just like HOT CHICKS.. But they weren't chicks... Kinda how this is.. They look really good, but somethings a little off.
yes, for a lot of the junk out there that's why I bought these and did not accept any free parts from them so i can say what i want. for the money these rocker arms are pretty good fit well and are well made (to my surprise). For this budget engine its perfect where I wont be seeing above 6500 rpms
