Okay subbed. I’ve always been a thriller and mystery reader, but fantasy and sci-fi are going through a golden period right now. Thank you for sharing your favorite books!
Read a few of those and absolutely agree that they are 5 star reads!! 😍 Added the rest I haven't read to my endless TBR 😅 made me want to read all of them at the same time 😅 Blood over Bright haven also deserves more recognition! ♥️
Came back to let you know I'd just finished Sword of Kaigen after this video bumped it up my TBR list. The battle scenes in this were some of the best ive ever read. The chapter "The Duel" was one of the most intense, beautifully written, emotionally charged, hour of reading ive ever experienced!
Legends and Lattes/Bookshops and Bonedust: Both solid 4 star reads. After I finish Children of Ruin and The Ritual by Adam Nevill I'll pickup Strange the Dreamer which is at the library. I always feel like I burned 5000calories just watching these videos.
Soo many of these are also my favorites ❤ And so many I want to try! Malice and The Justice of Kings are next, I think. Will I make it in time for the release of the third book in the Empire of the Wolf trilogy? Probably not, but I'll still try 🏃♀️
hiiii! I love your videosss😍 I am a swiss reader with a B2-C1 in english, can I try the sword of Kaigen or it will be too difficult ? I’ve read The Poppy War and The dragon republic !😊
I read a handful of the thirty-one and for the most part agreed. While I really enjoyed Babel the ending really ruined it for me and Circe I just couldn't get into, maybe I'll try again later. Over all a lot of new things to look for. Thanks
I love the passion and clear love for books that you have. Would you be willing to recommend books similar to House in the Cerulean Sea and the Very Secret Society of Irregular Witches? I love the very relatable, human, character-driven focus of those fantasy but with enough whimsy and magic, has a good dash of humor for light-heartedness, and ultimately leaves you taking away from it a wholesome feeling. Bonus points for women/LGBTQ representation. Any good recs?
I appreciate content providers going through all the trouble of not only reading all these books, but curating a refined list of the best ones. Having said that, I feel this genre of content, the Best Books of 2023, or My Book Haul for December, or My 5 Star Books of 2022 will be among the first to be invaded by a.i. personalities. It comes down largely to the words and writing of the content providers. Having watched (maybe) hundreds of videos such as this, across dozens of content providers, the very same ephemeral, vague language and catch phrases are thrown about and have been diluted to the point of meaninglessness. I could stop this video, and most others, at any point and it could be effortlessly transposed onto another video by another youtuber's book review channel. The word 'nuanced'...gack. "It has this very deep layer that makes you think but it's blended...", "it reads so beautiful(ly)", "It's a story that will make you feel a lot." Yeah, thanks. I put these videos on pause (except for one UA-camr's channel), and just check the titles. This video doesn't even have that. Remember, a.i. will soon be able to scrape data from top 500 fantasy book lists, Goodreads, Amazon, etc., pass off as a real human, and generate even better, less cliche phrases. Try harder.
Who cares if they all use the same phrasing? You should suggest some less-cliche phrases if you feel this strongly about all of it. I would love to see a human that can beat AI, but that’s not going to happen. If you tried harder, then you would see that this video is broken into chapters. You can pause the video, open up the more info section, and see all of the book titles in the chapter breakdown 🙄
I really want to you to read empire of vampire by jay kristoff everyone is loving it and giving it five stars I wanna get your opinion before picking it up
@@Pedro90268 thanks people didn't really liked never night by jay kristoff and I watched around 9reviews on UA-cam out of which 2 hated it and 7 loved it so I wasn't to sure about picking it up since it's very thick too
~ obligatory cheer for Aurelian Cycle and Sword of Kaigen ~ I can't believe it took me 3 days to finish watching this, is this what it means to be an adult? 🤡 So many great books here, but my opinion on Project Hail Mary hasn't changed 😂 I've already read it, but where's the Shadow of the Fox playlist attt? 👀
The House in the Cerulean Sea was easily the worst book I read in 2022. It’s so popular ! I don’t understand why, it was an unbearable read for me. That is just my opinion though ! Many of the books you mentioned are on my TBR :)

The audiobook of Piranesi is so good. It’s narrated by Chewitel Ejiofor.
I totally agree!
I adore your passion for books!

I've only read 3 books out of these. I definitely agree about Project Hail Mary. It was a 5 star book for me, too.

Ahhh the only book that comes to mind is Emily Wilde’s Encyclopedia of Faeries! ♥️
@@FunFantasyBooksNice, I have that on audiobook but haven't listened to it yet. With your recommendation I will soon, though!

Literally nobody asked.
I feel your pain. I can recommend you a book about being smart against AI

What is that beautiful Dandelion Dynasty cover art that all you booktubers have? Is that a special edition?

Will of the Many is a 2 star book. That made me question the rest of the list. 😝
