    This is the first in a series of videos where you can build beautiful pencil cases Called the "Marta B Collection."Join Steve Hay and Bob as they explore and lead you down a fun and do-able pathway of discovery starting with a very Humble PencilCase. Culminating in the final videos of the series with a complicated and charming Veneered 2 story pencilcase and 1 of Solid timber with a tambour top. But that's a little later on down the line. First we have to crawl. Starting with this one or two. Great start to the new season. I hope there are some raw beginners out there who can start with the crude model and work their way up. Bob is a superstar, glad you got him a "royal" bed. The new white wall behind the work bench looks great.

    Great video Steve. Looking forward to this series. Seems like even a project I could knock out in a weekend, though going by past experience, will probably take me about 6 months.

    Please put guards on after showing the setup. As a new woodworker seeing both the setup and the proper use of guards would be great. Really enjoy your classes

      This woodworking book is really detailed, *TopFineWoodworking. Com* ! With the aid of this plan, I was able to use words, drawings, real images and different diagrams. It is really an informative product. I am presently making furniture together with my brother and thanks to this product, I feel like helping him is possible.?

    Steve, what brtand paper do you use to stop your glue sticking to the bench? cheers

    • @Woodworkingmasterclass
      @Woodworkingmasterclass  8 років тому

      +Terabell7 Just supermarket lunch wrap. But I don't think they make it any more. Baking or grease proof paper will do the same job. Cheers Steve

      +Mathew Woolhouse thanks Matt and Steve for the reply I tried greaseproof and titebond stuck to it and could not find anything labelled as wax paper or similar, which is why I was asking about the brand. I'll see if I can pinch some baking paper from the kitchen and give it a try

    I am new to woodworking and wondering what table saw to get. I need a cheaper one just to get started. I saw an ozito tabke saw for $210 at bunnings and not sure if it is anygood. Do you have any recommendations?

    • @Woodworkingmasterclass
      @Woodworkingmasterclass  8 років тому

      +Slade 785 My advice would be buy a good second hand, older machine instead of the one mentioned. There are many around for the same amount of money. I bought an old one (1958 model) and used it for many years before upgrading to the one I have now and it only cost $150.00 it was an old Woodfast. Cheers Steve

    • @sladehoare
      @sladehoare 8 років тому

      Thanks Steve for that. Are there websites especially for second hand tools that I can get them from, or places that sell second hand tools?

    • @Woodworkingmasterclass
      @Woodworkingmasterclass  8 років тому

      +Slade 785 Where about are you ? Gumtree or eBay are the best way to find them. Secondhand dealers seem to want almost new price. Better off to get someone that has done a bit woodwork and is over it they just want to sell it to get rid of it, not neccessarly make a profit. Cheers Steve

    • @sladehoare
      @sladehoare 8 років тому

      I am in QLD. In 2 weeks time I am going to a place that is selling old tools...they do woodworking too. I eill check out what they have there and if there isn't anything I will check out ebay and Gumtree. Thanks for the advice.
