may I ask who thought it would be a good idea to send F-4 Phantoms against F22s and F35s, because either they have no idea what modern aerial combat is like, they underestimated the capabilities of F22 and F35s or they are severely incompetent. At least give your Pilots F15s or something not a museum piece that aside from Iran and a few other countries is not even in service anymore
it was only one spin off episode, the actually anime was sadly nothing even close to this. on the one hand i do agree, but the F-4 with the right missiles is only really lacking in turn speed, it's more of a missleship anyway

Send F-4 is a bad idea. But legacy of a vanished civilization MiG-25 (contemporary of F-4) could effectively fight against them.
