I'm really sorry to see only now this very interesting footage of the Fallschirmjäger! I can see quite a "few" scenes of Monastery of Monte Cassino, perhaps one of the worst blunder done by the Allies that also destroyed the once beautiful town under the Monastery. But it has depicted of course the assault of Create and parts of Sicily including Normandy. The Fallschirmjäger were perhaps the best unit that fought in the 2nd WW. A very good job and I liked so much that I just subscribed 👍👍👍👍

when visiting Italy on holiday,
over twenty years ago now.Even
visited the monastery
aswell as the common
wealth graveyard.
Enjoyed the company of a
very effective and
informative tour
guide,most moving
was the cemetery
to the 22nd polish
lancers who
who gave their lives
to free the
monastery!
Very worth visiting and of
course it was the German
paratroopers who gave
such a stiff resistance.
Even today the allied
bombing of the
monastery is
still debated.
Well worth the visit
even if you don’t
like the warmth of
the Italian
summer.

What’s funny about EVERY combat footage from every war that shows real footage, you NEVER see who they’re actually shooting at. EVER! You never see who’s on the other end of it. Looks like a live fire range and demolition
