Been watching Acq Inc since 10th grade, am now getting ready to graduate law school. A few things have gotten me all this way but Acq Inc has certainly been one of them. From Aoefel's 19s that didnt succed, Binwin's cracking the shell to kill a hydra, Jims cannonball into a pool of acid, Viari's chandeliers, Morgaen's oddly low dex checks, Omins literal dealings with the devil and, of course, Chris Perkins' balance of rule of cool to Rulebook lawyer, all the way to me responding "green flame", "18" and chanting "blood" in my bedroom, dorm room, and now apartment room. Thank you to the original cast who got the group going, the people who joined in on the way, and the people who brought it to its close. A special thank you to Jerry Holkins, for playing Omin Dran my favorite character since day 1 and allowing his legacy to live on in the canon of the Sword Coast.
And after reading that, I have to watch it all again for the 11th time 🎉🎉🎉 I miss Chris, I miss C team, I miss Waffle Crew, dammit I miss Mike… but I’m gonna watch it all again. And, at the same time, I’m gonna be writing my parallel Acq Inc campaign ❤
This hurts more than the ending of any book series I've read. I've listened to every podcast, watched every episode. I've struggled between every PAX for the last 8 years waiting for Acq Inc to release a new session. Thank you everyone for the experience, original group and to those who joined along the way. Certainty Dron, Jasmin Bhullar I wish you the best of luck, you have massive shoes to fill, see you next year.
I was in the audience near the middle of the room. I almost yelled "It's Strix's roll", followed by "Jeremy you should know that." I didn't, but I kinda wish I had.
Season 1: Certainty trains an owl to attack Jim Darkmagic's grandmother, so Jim would be afraid of owls his whole life, later turning him into an owlbear tamer master. Season 2: Certainty instructs Aeofel Elhromane to join Acquisition Incorporated. Season 3: When Jim Darkmagic from the future plans to kill past Jim, he gets sniped by Certainty, when he was standing on top of the Five League House as a shadowy figure. PAX 2010: Certainty persuaded the priests from the temple of Moradin to assist Acq Inc in the resurrection of Aeofel, free of charge. PAX 2011: Certainty cursed Percy Darkmagic, so that he can neither see nor hear fey. PAX 2012: Certainty sends an owlbear to assist Acq Inc in the fight against the lizard men. Ark of the mad mage: Certainty instructs Pierro, the gnome, to introduce Viari to Acq Inc. PAX EAST 2014: Certainty introduces Vandal, the silver dragon, to Môrgæn. PAX PRIME 2014: Certainty instructs Viari to take the battle balloon ship and come to Acq Inc's rescue against the cult of the dragon. PAX EAST 2015: Certainty delivered the blueprint for an iron man suit as well as the blueprint for a mecha beholder tank to Ray of fey. PAX PRIME 2015: While traveling through the Underdark, Certainty lends her Wand of Wonder to one of the svirfneblin. PAX EAST 2016: Certainty restores Jim Darkmagic, by putting his soul, which was previously sucked into a gem, back into his original body. Acq Inc the series: Certainty stole the belt of giant strength from the Horn clan. Also Aeofel takes revenge on Acq Inc for leaving him in - multiple - acid pits. PAX WEST 2016: Certainty teaches Klauth, the red dragon, to dual wield wands. In return he allows Acq Inc to find shelter in his Klauthen Veil, a healing spring.
story theory: Certainty's story will run parallel to the original campaign. However, she'll bump into key players along the way that will alter the future. she'll interact with jim, omin, and hopefully old and new faces like Morgain, Viari, Binwin, Aeofel (?) and change the future.
I hope Strix and Evelyn stick around. Strix needs to finally go back to The Cage and confront her fears when the Planescape book is released, and Evelyn needs to have her heart shattered into a million pieces by the truth. Preferably in the same 3 hour span.
Assuming that the final roll of Acq Inc Series 1 was about how many years back in time Certainty would be able to travel to fix everything, the fact that the combination of dice rolls and abilities added up to the number of years Acq Inc has been around is CHILLING. The golden years of Acq Inc where when Scott, Mike, Jeremy, Patrick/Will, and Chris were playing, but it hugely dropped off after Mike stopped playing. The series definitely needed to end, because it had become so unrecognizble compared to the majority of the lifespan of Acq Inc. However I'm thankful it happened, it was a fun journey while it lasted! Im excited for a brand new beginning (im hoping they will bring Scott back, but i doubt it)
Personaly I wasn't a fan of Will Weatons Aeofell, but thats just taste. I think there best arc is tyrany of dragons whit the suprice viari dropin on skyship. very good balance between over the top actions, comedy and serius stuff.
I certainly enjoyed Acq. Inc., but I was devastated after Chris left. Jerry is a good DM, but I felt that the series kind of went off the rails a bit, and it was just getting hard to follow. With the constant drops ins and outs with New and Old people, it just got really confusing after a while. I am not saying I didn't enjoy everyone's performance. It just got a bit weird for me.
Loved the first 8 years or so but after a while every game became an ad for the new WotC product. They are probably glad they ended right before all the OGL stuff went down.
I loved this. I have not laughed-till-I-cried at one of these for a while, but the entire nonsense around 1hr 40? I live for this drama. Thank you all!
Damn. Been listening since it was just a podcast and to see it grow through PAX is crazy. Definitely emotional to see it end. But then to come out with a Kickstarter.....mixed feelings. Excitement but also caution.
Acquisitions Incorporated got me into D&D. It was right around the time 5e arrived. I'm glad I was introduced to this awesome game. Thank you for all the laughs and inspiration.

Jasmine needs more immediate attention than Wheaton ever did. Even Holly is like, "Whoa let the rest of us have some mic time!". Sad, quiet ending for an amazing franchise that I have been loyal to since day one. Only Jerry remains and he is nervously chewing on Tums through the whole thing knowing that there is a fate worse than Dran Enterprises taking over our beloved AI... It's random Twitch celebs.
I definitely agree, plus her downtrodden, angsty, and not very supportive personality/play style doesn’t lend itself very well to the more lighthearted and positive group.
MANY in the crowd did, but who's gonna shout out "You're doing it wrong!" at a live show. In the crowd you could hear everyone sucking in the breaths and restraining themselves, I know I groaned.
It's great how many there are now of these can't wait to catch up on all the previous ones to watch this one. Retirement home living is gonna be sweet.
I've been following this show for such a long time and can't believe it's finally over. Still so many loose ends.. still so much to tell! I am looking forward to the new content in 2023, though. I've always found these live shows great and hilarious content, but the one-shot nature of them didn't really make for great storylines. They always had to adapt for missing characters, different DMs or other circumstances which turned it into a bit of a mess at times. Having a dedicated series (again) would really help telling the story and creating depth to the characters, as they did with the C-Team. It's also great to see Mike make a reappearance with this format, since he couldn't handle live shows anymore. I do really hope that Jerry will be part of the new series in some way. I'm such a fan of him as a player, as a DM but mostly as an artist. He wields language as a weapon and the way he's able to describe things always amazes me. I really miss the spoken word poems he used to do at the end of the show. Acq. Inc. just isn't without the right amount of Holkins.
I absolutely loved this, and I'm SO excited for what the future will bring 💜 be it return of old beloved characters, new, crazy ones, and all the crazy ass dumb joke banter that I watch this game for. Absolutely 💯 fantastic. ALSO: Strix/Holly's outfit this game was spectacular
im kinda glad its over, whilst I enjoyed the show it definitely lost its shine after Chris left and then it had limped along when Mike decided to step back too. Mike and Scotts back and forth was hilarious. Not saying the rest was bad but it had just lost some of the sense of 4 or 5 friends playing and into something a bit more produced and corporate.
Can we all take a moment to appreciate that Chris Perkins actually had a character foresee this city burning to the ground back in 2015 (pax east 2015 show).
Man I'm kinda sad. I've been following Acq Inc for about 10 years. This is the series that got me into D&D. Here's hoping the future is bright and we still get to see some familiar faces.
Just watching it now, for real! Nobody even helping with maths! Jerry chewing the lozenge the whole time makes me feel that the loss of the crowd is working on his nerves.
It wasn't until this episode that I realized that Evelyn and Omin were truly Belle and Rumpelstiltskin. I don't know what the future will bring.. but I saw what I saw. 🥰
not a fan of the always negative Strix but wow everyone else is amazing. this is the best DND type show I've seen - that includes any critical role stuff. amazing and clever and the subtle humor is definitely something that reminds me of our own childhood campaigns.
So I don't get it right now.. Does this mean no more live shows????????? or what?? Guys please don't do that to me you are my quarterly retreat out of that shit show called normal live. Although I am really looking forward to see Jim back in the series the live shows are just another level...
There will continue to be more live shows, they are now just being encapsulated in dedicated seasons, with seasonal cast set for the year, in order to help with story pacing and help make it easier for fans to keep track of the story.
I stopped watching A.I in 2019. And I'm so glad I did. I got a little bit into this and had to stop. It's a hard watch. I feel like when Jerry started c-team it just became to many crossovers and intertwining stuff. God I even bought the Amazon exclusive d&d game they did for Xmas. Binwins last game. I miss the old days. And now wizards of the coast is a awful company. We shall see how d&d stay around and turn the table.
I am in shock... I've watched all of these episodes, from character creation, the series, the xmas special, all the PAX episodes.... I am super sad.... and yet... super excited.
Holly Conrad is slaying with the new hairstyle! Also Portentia is too in the animation which is weird because I thought she was canonically shaved headed (god I’m such a nerd)
Great, so our fun band of goof offs, is about to be Indiana Jones 5-ed with a woman going back in time and "fixing" things by doing everything better than a man. I'm just so excited to see this obviously terrible idea be subjected to standard Penny Arcade satire, otherwise I'd actually think they might be serious about the idea that Certainty will somehow "fix" the past.
All good things have to come to an end eventually. Thanks for the content, it's been a fun ride. Loved the whole series from its beginning to its eventual end. Hope the OG crew does some D&D stuff from time to time.

Imagine a dark poetry slam.
Awesome!!!! Love AI! I just started listening to the “C” team! I’m on episode 15!
May their labours please you!!!
Yeah the later seasons got harder to watch and be invested in. I hope they bring some of the whole crew back.
28:40, I think he means, OnlyFiends
This session gives me *life* 🔥
1:38:45 the thing for me, is why?
Can we all take a moment to appreciate that Chris Perkins actually had a character foresee this city burning to the ground back in 2015 (pax east 2015 show).
At about 35:10 on that video, to be specific.
Man I'm kinda sad. I've been following Acq Inc for about 10 years. This is the series that got me into D&D.
Here's hoping the future is bright and we still get to see some familiar faces.
Jerry: "I feel like this is a little like Rakdos's fanfiction" hahaha I love this man
Asmodeus Incorporated?
Can wait to see how Certainty will change things next year. Jeremy comes back as a young Omen.
*Jerry
*Omin
I was at this game… it was the quietest I’ve ever heard the crowd. I really hope they can pull it together and come back strong for the new series
Just watching it now, for real! Nobody even helping with maths! Jerry chewing the lozenge the whole time makes me feel that the loss of the crowd is working on his nerves.
So is jeremy horkins passing the torch? And wont be in the game as omin drahn or anyone else?
It wasn't until this episode that I realized that Evelyn and Omin were truly Belle and Rumpelstiltskin. I don't know what the future will bring.. but I saw what I saw. 🥰
Acq Inc forever, this train don't stop. Can't wait to see what's next!
Oooh new episode!
Glances down at comments.
Oh.... I don't think my emotions will take this right now.
Maybe later
This was such a great episode, but the best part of all was seeing that Jim might return!
Great show as always guys.
By the way i haven't seen the Real jim and Viary in a while, what happened to the people that played them?
Do I spy Mind Lord of the Last Sea at @2:22:22? Loved that addon of Dark Sun!
that unicorn dying really got to me for some reason
To me too. She was caged so long and nothing but good and helpful… and nobody could even mourn her.
Holly looks amazing in this.
not a fan of the always negative Strix but wow everyone else is amazing. this is the best DND type show I've seen - that includes any critical role stuff. amazing and clever and the subtle humor is definitely something that reminds me of our own childhood campaigns.
Here's hoping the next show is more identical to the C-Team (weekly episodes) instead of these PAX sessions
I love how random those recaps sound. xD
I know what I'm gonna to tomorrow! 😍 😍 😍 Thanks! :)
What did Mike say at the end?
What!?!!!!!???!!!!?!!?... 😭😭
@@pennyarcadeTV thats great to hear
Wow. Amazing!
welp. time to re-listen to the entire series again. much love AI fam. see you next time
Not the same show without Jim, Viari and Binwin.
Got to sell that OneD&D.
That's..... Not how counterspell works.
Best episode of Acq. Inc., maybe ever! THE DRAMA!
End of an era ☹☹☹
NO FREAKING WAY
Love how Anna still has golden nail polish on despite them not playing in costume
Azmodeus with the maulware install
Considering what's going on with WotC at the moment... that Asmodeus speach is TOO REAL... JK was warning us all along!
Holy Shit
finally saw the ending.. oh, dead gods..
6:20 that rocket is SUS
Great, so our fun band of goof offs, is about to be Indiana Jones 5-ed with a woman going back in time and "fixing" things by doing everything better than a man. I'm just so excited to see this obviously terrible idea be subjected to standard Penny Arcade satire, otherwise I'd actually think they might be serious about the idea that Certainty will somehow "fix" the past.
i hope they're misogynistic enough to retain your respect
All good things have to come to an end eventually. Thanks for the content, it's been a fun ride. Loved the whole series from its beginning to its eventual end.
Hope the OG crew does some D&D stuff from time to time.
Omg I wonder if she'll run into Binwin
Guess who's baaaAAAAACK!
Ooh that explains so much about the Ogl bs going on
Paladins can Turn the Unholy
Ohhhh wow that new do Holly has is really cool .....damn 😎
Q.Q the final episode omg!!
Trump NEEDS to fire his own private security...X spec ops guys...something!!!
That ICBM was sus af.
Asmodeus: “I look forward to seeing what is next.”
Me: “Meeeeeeeeee Tooooooooooooooooo” 🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘
