Loads of variety from flowy with a little gnar Walnut Creek (check the Loam Ranger's No Elevation, No Problem vid) to Brushy creek (a little flow with much more gnar) to City Park (check Lenosky's first Trail Boss video) to the Greenbelt (gotta come here to see the good stuff). All to stuff like Cat Mountain.
Your movie clips never disappoint and always make me smile. Trail definitely looked like it had its share of challenges. Way to get out there and push yourself. Heck ya!
No Front Brakes Yes. Understood. So for now, look at it as an awesome positive until you get monetized again. Find a friend that can do some lite animation work to still capture the idea in the future? I know. Easier said than done.
Dope video! Do you think the Hightower had enough travel and/or the right geometry to handle such a gnarly trail, or would you have preferred a different bike if you'd known what to expect before riding the trail?
@@nofrontbrakes Word up! Amazing to hear that the Spartan climbs better than the HT. Bikes are so amazing these days! Thanks for the reply brotha. Hope your year is ending on the highest of notes.
tyler slatton With a guide, everyone can ride it once provided you sign the freeride 512 waiver. After that, you need a membership. 60 bucks a year for access to two trail systems and a bunch of discounts from a bike shop and I think Banshee
Man, F that trail haha. Its way too tough for me. Its one of those I wish I was able to ride but I know its one of those never gonna happen trails for me.
Hey made you were smashing those downhill sections...🤘...you could have done those slatted ramps ...thought you were defo gonna hit that last one...kudos though dude!!!
No worries dude !!!! I need some of that myself...lol....sometimes I think to myself just do it lol.....and follow a better rider in... a tow is the way to go !!!!
Hat's off. You faced THE FEAR to even try this, rode like a champ, and didn't do anything stupid under the influence of adrenaline.
I have way more fear than comes off in the video 😂
I need to check out Austin sometime
Wayne Shaffer definitely!

I've been riding this place since I was like 6 yrs old really like what Seth and Justin and the crew have done
CharlesDoyle it’s wild for sure. That whole area is tough!
Should have named this one, eminent danger!
Big 🐔right here.

Really good riding dude!
Dirt Storm Troopers thanks
tight technical trails very cool
I've heard a lot about this place and now I can see why it's legend.
Trail Features you want to hit it before you leave town? It’s like Thumper started training MMA 😂
I love how excited you get man! Nice videos!
heyPhiliphey thanks!
“Nope”
Not going to lie. I had a nope moment at Spider Mountain yesterday. 😂
Knobby Nomad Yeah tell me about it. I was out there last Friday

Mike Beeman thanks 🙏🏼
Badass, dude! 🤘🏻
Donny Mazinga thanks!
Your movie clips never disappoint and always make me smile. Trail definitely looked like it had its share of challenges. Way to get out there and push yourself. Heck ya!
Twitchy Nick thanks! I actually need to stop that indefinitely if I ever want to monetize again 😞
No Front Brakes Yes. Understood. So for now, look at it as an awesome positive until you get monetized again. Find a friend that can do some lite animation work to still capture the idea in the future? I know. Easier said than done.
Twitchy Nick nah I’ll just skip it altogether. The allure is that people recognize the clips.
No Front Brakes Very true. Makes sense. Wouldn’t be the same for sure. I’ll enjoy it immensely while it lasts 😜
Dope video! Do you think the Hightower had enough travel and/or the right geometry to handle such a gnarly trail, or would you have preferred a different bike if you'd known what to expect before riding the trail?
The Hightower is plenty of bike, but my Spartan has a better suspension, climbs better, and I’m definitely a better rider now too
@@nofrontbrakes Word up! Amazing to hear that the Spartan climbs better than the HT. Bikes are so amazing these days! Thanks for the reply brotha. Hope your year is ending on the highest of notes.
You can't just go bomb a trail you don't know... you did awesome.
Bob Oh thanks man! I’m happy with my riding. Push it a little further each time
Oof, off camber, narrow, death to the side. Looks pretty gnarly!
VanCan gnarly is spot on!
I wanna try it!
Van I just saw some of your vids last night for the first time. Good quality.
haha I love this video
Seth Buckner I need to make it back out there
Watching your videos and working is a hard combo, I just want to stop and go ride...
josh reeter same! 😂
This place looks completely savage. Handled like a champion!
Cobra Kyle thanks
Pretty cool amount of trails around Austin mate. Must make it easy to just get out and ride.
MTB Trail Magic yeah it’s wild
THIS IS IN AUSTIN!? Oh boy Im getting sweaty hands just watching those gaps because I know I'm going to attempt them. 3 weeks into riding btw 😯
Definitely have to hit up Austin soon in the future, SA doesn’t have much
Vincent Garza So much trail here between all of the actual trail systems and the ranches
burped my tire the other day and my buddy was filming me, got sealant all over his face lol
Downhill Dewey wait: burned? How?
burped'' lol
Wow! That is one Beasty Step Down.
Garrett Rides yeah it’s wild
You should try a TMBRA cross country race some time! There's still some pretty rough XC Stuff out here
TEXAS MTB I’m all in on enduro. Haven’t done an XC race since the two NORBA ones I did in 1997.
Wow...good video. Quite challenging. Love to get some photos there.
Does free ride 512 do any sort of group rides? Would be super interested in joining, always looking for more people to ride with
Yeah they usually have a few group rides a year. The best place is a Facebook group called Texas Gravity Enduro.
Place looks epic! No shame in walking your bike out. Just means you left it all out there! 🤘🏻
Is cat mountain open to the public at all?
tyler slatton With a guide, everyone can ride it once provided you sign the freeride 512 waiver. After that, you need a membership. 60 bucks a year for access to two trail systems and a bunch of discounts from a bike shop and I think Banshee
Quality content dude. Also, more "Shameless" bites? They were all great but Shameless is a top 3 show for me. Greatness.
Josh Saunders I’m about to get monetized again and the TOS are kind of vague about fair use, so I’m going to take a break from clips haha
im 49. i wish i could do that. when i was teenager i raced bmx but now im scared to jump
Mike Beeman you and me both (scared to jump)
Very nice trails! Nice job.
So fun man, let’s ride again soon!
Cody Macdonald I’m down!
You're not giving yourself enough credit when you say its above your skill level. You race enduros!
Robert Griffin thanks man!
Dude. You found the Gnar!!!
That place looks legit. Nice work. What's up with the number plate? Velominati may call you out on that. :)
Ride bSIDe It’s for the enduro series I’m racing. We’re halfway through and I’m supposed to keep the same plate.
Are these 512 freeride trails or are they open to the public? Place looks sick!
A Buk they’re for members and guests of FR512. I’m a member and I know Seth fairly well if you ever want to ride.
Man, F that trail haha. Its way too tough for me. Its one of those I wish I was able to ride but I know its one of those never gonna happen trails for me.
Chris CXK I bet there’s stuff you can ride in there. At some point, I’d like to help Seth with B-lines
There is some I'd do. That off camber part looked pretty crazy. I also never would have thought that was in Austin.
Chris CXK it’s wild. I’ve learned that if I push myself hard enough, suddenly I’m doing things I wouldn’t have dreamed of a few months ago
cambered edge? nope! Nice rush:)
I must find this so called cat mountain🤔
OTB Seth Buckner on UA-cam is the man to ask for a guided tour
No Front Brakes is it open to the public or is it strictly a guided tour?
OTB It’s actually on private property, so I believe it entails signing a waiver and then they probably prefer if you have a guide
Seth will correct me if I’m wrong
No Front Brakes okay sweet thanks bro
NAJS
Yay...I made first view!!! Stoaked lol...😂
Hey made you were smashing those downhill sections...🤘...you could have done those slatted ramps ...thought you were defo gonna hit that last one...kudos though dude!!!
Alistair Chappell thanks for the confidence! Next time!
No worries dude !!!! I need some of that myself...lol....sometimes I think to myself just do it lol.....and follow a better rider in... a tow is the way to go !!!!
Alistair Chappell you got it!
