My first motorcycle was a Roadking, gifted by my parents back in 89. Still remember the day i took delivery from Praveen motors, Wilson garden, Bangalore. They were one of the authorised dealers back then..
Amazing Video Bosky.... awesome... I am waiting for you guys to come back to have our next video in a bar and discuss about the Yenne Raja alias Oilking!!!
Rekindled fond memories of 80's . Yezdi's were the 1st choice amongst college students. It's portfolio also had Road King, Oil King, Yezdi 175 cc besides Yezdi CL . It's exhaust notes we're symphony in motion and I loved the ergonomics and neat uncluttered design but loath it's wirerod brakes 😊
This makes me remember my own story... my dad had the flower bore head yezdi model B, the very first released slot from 1974... he lost it in 1992.. I was just 7 years old by then.. I am still searching for the same.. not sure when I will get it back..
@@bigbearbangalore thank you so much for replying.. I have reinitiated legal proceedings.. hope I will get back the bike.. I will be lucky enough if I get back the chassis and engine in original.. rest I will have to procure and get it restored.. I can approach friends like you during restoration for help and guidance.. I have somehow protected my dad's 1983 Premier Padmini Delux.. in the month of May I got the RRC done for the same.
From Wikipedia: The Yezdi Roadking was the successor of the short-lived Yezdi Oilking. The Oilking was the first motorcycle in India to attempt to move away from pre-mixed fuel to a separate oil lube system via an oil pump. The box-like shape on the left hand cover housed the oil pump. Unfortunately this system had a very high failure rate resulting in piston seizures. This resulted in the discontinuation of the Oilking and the birth of the Roadking.
Hey Bosky How are you? I enjoy your detailing about motorcycle I learnt anlot. All your shorts have my likes. I own a Jawa 42 bobber. I request you to please make some videos on that too like you make on RE motorcycles. Also, some idea for luggages to make it good for tour. I enjoy my long rides on it. It been 1 year and i rode it for 9k kms.
