how do people actually do 32 fouettes without travelling tho
Nik0laevna my teacher often makes us do 32 counts for practice and i start to really travel at like 18-22 ish so no idea
I would travel all the way to Australia or something 😂
That is the real question 😂
You don't travel if you just roll up and down through your foot, if you hop down then you start to travel because most the time you hop forward

wow, you can see how your core strength has improved in this time, you are now "doing these moves" not "trying to do these moves" it's quite wonderful to see, you glow when you perform(and not from sweat)

You should do one with hardest moves today! Oh, and throw in some Italian fouettes xD I don't know about you, but my teacher decided to do them my first full class en pointe (the rest of the girls were in soft shoes, it was just how we did it because I was the only one wanting to do pointe), I just looked at her, laughed, and went to the barre to do preparations for normal fouettes instead. No one can say I had an easy start on pointe, that's for sure.
My second pointe class my teacher made me do attitude turns and i cant even do those in flats ffs
@@mytoenailjustfelloff8997 Yup! Always trust our teachers to throw us in the deep end! I was overjoyed in the end, though, after 5 months I could do fouettes en pointe, which was a lot more than I thought I'd be able to in that time!
OMG!! My dance teacher would never. Sometimes I don't like how little we do difficult things until like 14 or 15, but it allows us to build up our technical skills and building block dance moves so we are usually pretty good by the time we start doing fouettes en pointe
My teacher my first ever pointe class with my first ballet company as an apprentice made me do 30 russian and 30 italian back to back. We repeated that sequence 4 times...
Mind you this was all on russian pointe shoes on old studio floors... We also had PROFESSIONAL POINTE DANCERS FROM THE FRICKEN BALLET COMPANY WATCHING US AND CRITIQUING US!

You're a lovely young dancer! and there has been obvious improvement over the last year. I used to dance as well but it was a long time ago. I was about as proficient as you are now and loved every minute of agony knowing that the grace, discipline and perfect form were ever out ahead of me, perfection always calling me, always ahead. I developed arthritis at 18 because I was run over by a truck (a back injury and a crushed leg which ended my dancing) when I was 15. 47 years later I still remember the steps and when I stand, my feet are in a perfect fourth position without even thinking about it. It never leaves you. Enjoy! and watch out for trucks going too fast on the wrong side of the road.

I remember when I used to dance (I danced for ten years) but the skills I learned are nothing compared to your you are an amazing dancer and I know you will continue to get even better which may be hard to believe because you are already so amazing!!!

I've been dancing and doing gymnastics/acrobatics my whole life (basically) but I focus more on circus arts (contortion, hand balancing, aerial work) and dancewise on contemporary and acro dance, but ballet is still pretty important to me, because many of my routines do rely heavily on strong ballet technique, although it's mostly contemporary dance mixed with crazy flexibility tricks.
Ballet just is the foundation for so many other styles of dance and without a strong foundation to build upon everything will be 10 times harder. While some people can't stand barre ("It's so boring!"), I actually love it, because I can really concentrate on those little details that matter so much in the end. Strong, flawless technique doesn't only make my dancing look way more graceful and professional, it also helpst to keep my body strong and healthy, (hopefully) allowing me to continue doing what I love for a long time.

You definitely improved, I think especially in the grande pas classique. Your coupe is better turned out and better attached to your ankle, and your core and arms are more controlled. Well done!
