    Apologies that I keep looking away from the camera I haven't sat with my back to my desk in a while and I'm also using the Lumix s5 + Ninja V setup for the first time. its taking me a while to trust Panasonics af again add recording mic + video externally and I'm rather distracted.
    Also for the unboxing I'm using the re320 but please do bair in mind for that part my curtains were open, the xl mouse mat was not on my desk and I was talking directly to two large reflecting monitors so its going to have more reverb and room noise in that part of the video,

    Absolutely love this mic. I’ve been a fan of sE for a number of years. I use the V7 love for my band. And I’m so pumped to finally have this mic.

      Agreed sE have created an absolute gem again here, I’ve also heard nothing but good things about the v7 series 😀

    You sound better on this compared to the SM7B. Its obviously here to compete with the 7B , V7 capsule like the 7B as a 58 capsule.

    That mic looks pretty interesting. I'd say it's pretty great for interfaces with no DSP on board. In general I do enjoy tone of the mic. And that pop filter design looks interesting. The only thing that actually worries me is that XLR connection, as you've mentioned. SM7B actually bothers me with that, and I imagine this one would bother me too. It's gonna interfere with a LOT of boom arms and might be pretty hard to place the way you want it on a stand.
    And yeah, sE does a lot of cool stuff honestly. Good mics for a decent price.

      Agreed I much prefer xlr in the back and switches on the side. Yes they do make some great products 😀 I think it be great if they could do maybe just the v7 or v7x but in podmic/at2040 body with this pop filter would be an awesome under £100 dynamic for streaming etc.

      @@thefullsetup totally agree on v7/x in "broadcast" body. That would be great. Cuz frankly how mic looks matters. And it matters a lot. Quite a lot of people are not willing to go like sm58 route, cuz it looks pretty much like a "karaoke" mic, even though both sm58 and mv7 sound pretty darn good.

    Actually the Aston Stealth added a cloud lifter first and ironically I think it was started by ex se electronics employees.

      Didn’t know it was ex se employees I totally forgot about the stealth which is odd as it was in my cart for a while. Problem with constantly looking at product specs some days your brain just goes to mush 😂😂

    This isn't quite the first dynamic microphone that had internal amplification. The Blue Encore 200 was billed as an "active dynamic" a few years ago and differentiated itself from the Encore 100 through gain staging. It's the first that I'm aware of.
    Little bit cheaper than the Dynacaster, though.

    I have the RE320 and it doesn't have the low end the SE has. I have to say I REALLY like the sound of this mic. I may be getting one ...

    • @thefullsetup
      @thefullsetup  2 роки тому +1

      I agree I normally add a 2db boost around 100/120 hz on the 320 then a similar cut around 250, I find it just gives it a extra bit of depth in the the low end without becoming muddy. I’ve been using the dynacaster a bit more recently and have stuck to the first high shelf but just added a 1db high shelf and I find it gets me to that sweet spot I wanted that was right in between the two high frequency boosts.

    Should i go for Electrovoice re 320,Røde procaster or SE dynacaster?? The application is for streaming and singing. thanks in advance 🤗

    • @thefullsetup
      @thefullsetup  2 роки тому +2

      All great mics I’d say the dynacaster brings the best of both and merges them into one lovely bottom end like the rode but some nice top end too it’s not as bright as the 320. But I’d imagine a lot of people would prefer it to be less I love the re320 but it is an acquired taste. I think when you factor in price of procaster if purchasing new with adding the shock mount and pop filter your pretty much at dynacaster money. If you do go 320 just to let you know I had to modify the rode mount to make it fit, Need to make a video on that at some point.

    Microphone sounds really good. I think I'd prefer a cheaper version without the inline pre-amp as my interface has enough clean gain to not need one.
