Everyone did justice to the character but I also applaud the performance of the girl screaming. Screaming is one but screaming with such a pain and showing the fear and pain through her eyes is another thing, it was gut wrenching and haunting. She did great job in portraying her character as well 👏🏻

Though all women played their part well but special appreciation for an underrated actress Samia Mumtaz! It's sad how the nation treated Maadr e Millat after the demise of her brother. How she was betrayed and bullied by the politicians and establishment alike. She lost everything for the sake of Pakistan and Pakistanis, the ever ungrateful and thankless bunch of people, let her down. Government didn't fulfill her last wish to be buried next to her brother. Dear FJ, I want you to know we are all forever grateful to you for the services and efforts you put in the creation of Pakistan and that I'm sorry for how our ancestors treated you💔

I was a small child when Fatima Jinnah ran for election, there was so much excitement among students , my brothers went on that freedom train. Even as a child, I noticed her dignity, her love for students when police fired on students, I memorized poem, buchon pe chali goli, Ma Dekh ke yeh Boli, yeh dil ke meray tukray kion roein meray hotey.
Had elections been fair & she won , Pakistan wouldn’t have been split. She was popular even among Bengalis.

Danial did right choosing Sajal. Those scenes needed a performer more than playing with lookalikes. The criticism at this point is just sounding dumb.
But actually she does look like younger fatima ji, overall she was slim but her face features were just like sajal (neither like syra yousuf or ayeza khan as public were suggesting to which i disagree)

I had goosebumps oh my god, I didn't expect this to be this so haunting especially sajals part, that made me cry. sajal truly shining in this role one thing for sure i am gonna cry watching this 1947 time made me cry. sundas farhan did a good job as young fatima jinnah and samiya mumtaz is doing great as states woman I can't wait to watch thi series. Daniyal did a right job by casting sajal because her expression game was on point according to that time.

Ufff this needs to be on the much much bigger screen. Couldn’t control my tears. My daadi narrated the whole scene to us as she and her entire khandaan was lucky enough to be ont he third train and the first two trains they killed everyone single person. Only the third and 4th train had soldiers that were sent along. It was so heart wrenching how they all gave their lives for our Pakistan and now see what these politicians are doing with our country. 😭😭😭😭

Dastaan was thr true drama which depicted the whole real story about BANO.After that there was not any content which show the massacre,the brutality and tons of barbarism about the migration time period.Now this short video is totally a little glimpse how this great people have given their lives for our better future. This remind me of everything my grandma (Naani) told me about the time of independence and migration. All the horrific stories about that train. Salaam to all who sacrificed their lives for giving us this homeland.

It's about time we had a quality production about Fatima Jinnah, who was the powerhouse behind so much of Pakistan. Without her love, support, dedication and determination, Muhammad Ali Jinnah could have easily given up. She is truly the mother of the Nation, and not enough credit is given to her. I hope to watch this film with my older children next year, so they can understand the sacrifices their grandparents made when they migrated to Pakistan in 1947, and the role that Fatima Jinnah, specifically, played in this critical part of our family history.

Ah, I wish we could watch it on Netflix as series with subtitles as we do when we watch historical wars in Europe and Asia, but the biggest historical rift between India and Pakistan remains untold to the world; instead, we only read about it in books. However, the world as a whole needs to be realised of this so that people can understand what actually transpired on both sides. When these Britishers talk of today about peace, kindness, and forgiveness after practically all of Asia and Europe was pillaged by the British army and the dreadful merciless events carried out , it is important to remember how the people of India (back then Muslims ,Sikh and Hindus) worked to rid themselves of these rodents.

This is fantastic! I am so looking forward to seeing this series. All three actors have done a phenomenal job if the prologue is anything to go by! Sundus Ji, Samiya Ji and Sajal Ji are all such amazing performers, their expressions, speech style and movements are all pitch perfect! The scenes in the train are horrific and shown with such clarity. The girl screaming, it's heart-rending and hauntingly painful watching Sajal Ji and the man with her react to the worst things any human can see. Wah, Maan gaye!! However, the look of the piece is no less impressive. Such attention to detail regarding the time period, the excellent background score and sound effects, the use of the right props and equipment eg radios, pens, paper!!! It looks and feels like a BBC docu-drama! Congratulations to the producers, directors, crew, researchers and actors. This will be a masterpiece! InshaAllah!

The production value is topnotch and the actors seem to have performed very well too. I just hope the script/screenplay is tight and crisp and the direction sharp because sometimes the director's focus is on the character so much that such magnanimous projects become tedious and slow. I just hope its a compelling story telling with a smooth flow. I still feel they could have used prosthetics combined with makeup for Sajal and Samiya Mumtaz, as they both look like sajal and samiya as we see them in other plays with the only difference of short grey hair a la Fatima Jinnah.
You are right.The direction has to be crisp.One scene with Samiya Mumtaz and it showed how slow and tedious it was.
I hear what you are saying about Samiya Ji and Sajal Ji but prosthetics even very minimal ones are very hard work. Firstly, they have to A grade to not look cheap and nasty like we sometimes see in Bollywood films. Secondly, they take hours to apply on the actor's face and then make-up has to be applied over the top, and then the whole process is repeated to take it off. This is why it hardly ever happens. Even the Crown on Netflix used different actors to show different periods of the Queen's life.

I know both sajal and samiya are very talented and would put in a lot of hardwork but their looks are the same as performing any other role. Their known faces and persona overtake their look of Fatima Jinnah. In our head its sajsl and samiya and not fatima jinnah. Thus either more effort should have gone to change their looks or taken unknown faces.

Out of the world's cinema 🎥🎥 fabulous this shows how actions speak louder than words without having so much dialogues but it shows the intense fear and pain on each every characters face
