The way you made the mask is the most realistic and creative way and is probably how peter would are made his mask by just using old materials like blankets etc
It's funny.. I remember watching the bluray for the first amazing spiderman. And mark web said in the bonus features, that he wanted the costume to look like a teenager would have made it. Let me tell you, never in a million years could I make that suit with stuff I have lying around the house. I think the homemade suit from homecoming is perfect and realistic because you could actually buy all this stuff and make it yourself!
Carlos Salazar Exactly! I love the Amazing Spider-Man suit (it’s my second favorite next to this), but I totally agree. This suit is completely practical (except for the irising lenses I suppose), and it still looks great
My son just showed me this video and wants to make the exact costume. We’re brainstorming some ideas for his costume as well. Hey I had a thought regarding the socks and pants: what if you cut the pants just below the knees, and turn the pants and socks inside out and sewn them together that way? Just a thought. Hopefully that will help. Thanks for sharing!! Best of luck to you!!
can i have the links to the websites that you bought the clothing on? I'm trying to make a costume the cheapest way possible and i'de really appreciate it if I knew where to go
I just finished my costume recently using your video for most of the guide and it turned out great! I wore it for Halloween and the only issue is that I'm still having to figure how to make the goggles easier to see out of since I normally wear glasses and they also get foggy sometimes. I'm planning on wearing it to watch Spider-Man No Way Home in theaters which will be fun.
Same! (I’m wearing mine for NWH). To make it easier to see, I ended up removing the glass and plastic parts of the goggles and gluing just the mesh to the goggles. I also switched to a finer mesh pattern and it’s made a huge difference
Hey man! Great suit! :D Can I ask you something? How did you glue the goggles on the mask? I mean, what techniques, tools, and type of glue did you use? I wanna do the same, but I'm afraid that I will ruin the only good mask I sewed. So I really, don't wanna do it the wrong way.
I used loctite ultragel control super glue. First I took out the mesh from the goggles so I could see when they were over my eyes, then I put the mask on. Make sure it's situated right and that the seam runs perfectly down your face. Then put a line of super glue around the entire lip of one of the goggle eyes and carefully stick it on where you want it to be, pressing down firmly. You only get one shot to place it perfectly. The super glue fumes will burn your eyes and nose, so close your eye and try not to breathe. You might feel the super glue attaching to your face around your eye, but it'll peel off fairly easily, so don't worry. Next, do the same thing with the other eyepiece, making sure it mirrors the other one. Again, close the eye that you're working with tightly and blink rapidly if you feel the burn. The super glue will adhere pretty quickly. The goggles will tend to space out away from the center line, so place them a little closer to the center than you want them to be. I learned that the hard way and ruined a mask.
Spider Man I’m trying to find them online, and these are the closest I could find: images.app.goo.gl/ntb6t9XziYcQGuKNA The brand name isn’t even printed on the shoe itself, so I can’t remember
I recently bought a zentai mask and it didn’t look so good. I plan on using felt to sew a mask, but I can’t find a good method of actually tracing the shapes for the mask. Did you use the same method as the dud mask you made? I can’t figure out how much bigger I should make the mask compared to my actual measurements.
Regarding the link in the description for the sweatshirt did you use that product? or did you use 2 of the full sweaters? Because the arms on your blue sweatshirt look more baggy than the link one. thanks
I just made my web shooters out of cardboard pieces that I layered and glued. I then painted them silver. I used a pen and took it apart, using the tip and the little rubber part too for the web shooting nozzle. I can share pictures if you want.
Dude I've been trying to find a video or something on how to make this costume OMG thank you so much this is amazing. Thank you this was very helpful. Amazing job on the costume.
Very helpful video, I wasn't sure how I should cut the shape of the fabric to make the mask for my costume but this definitely helped. also I have an upcoming Delta flight in which I will most definitely ask for a blanket👍
@@BenjaminVece I put the mask on my head, held the goggles over my eyes to get a sense of where they should go, put super glue on the back of the goggles, then attached them while the mask was still on my face. You should for sure close your eyes so the glue doesn't irritate them, and take the mask off as soon as the goggles are secured. After the initial placement you may need to add more glue to the edges if they were missed, which you can do without putting the mask on
Crusty Hippy Good question! It was stretchy only in one direction side to side, not up and down. I used Velcro at the back, since it was nowhere near stretchy enough to pull over my head
K-2SO KX Series Security Droid I got XL, and we have the same waist measurement so those should work for you. But honestly, medium to large will probably work, too, since they're stretchy and the XL's are a little baggy on me. I have to tie the string tight to keep them up
excellent tutorial thanks for this so muchl! about to order the different parts and how long did this take to make because I really want to wear this to NWH opening night
Hi! You can probably do it all in a day or two once you get all the parts and pieces. It’s pretty simple (unless you don’t have access to a sewing machine, in which case you can just buy a red morph suit mask or something)
Hey man nice goggles mine are coming from amazon with the steel mesh lenses and I was wondering how do u attach them with the mask because I don't want to keep putting on the goggles and then the mass. Btw great content
Marble This is probably the only cosplay I'll make. My other videos will probably be action figure related, or anything geek/Marvel/Star Wars that I feel like making a video about. I customize my action figures to make them better, so I could do videos on that I guess
Abadcitos - If you’re talking about the black parts, I used a pencil to sketch the correct shape on the back side of the lens, cut it out, then traced it onto the next one so they’d be the same but opposite
Nikolai_AOUN _ Just put on the mask, line the rim of the goggle with superglue, and stick it on over your eye where you want it it be. Do one at a time and don't press too hard or the glue will seep through to your face. Close your eye as you're doing it and don't breathe through your nose, as superglue is an irritant.

Drewby Thanks!
it's funny how you got the Homecoming picture behind you in the beginning
Menma Uzumaki You've got an eagle eye, sir. I'm glad you noticed
Menma Naruto hah
I would recommend using red sweat bands and glue on door hinges for the web cartridges for the web shooters
Hey can you please tell me where I can buy the Sox’s and the shoes in maroon color

Thanks for the advice about the plastic for the lenses
This is really cool! I might follow along to this at some point! Really helpful!
Hello, just wondering about the cutting of the hoodie, did you sew it up afterwards or just cut off the sleeves with scissors and left it?
I just cut the sleeve off
Hey can you please tell me where can I get the Sox’s and shoes in maroon color

I used long erasers for the web shooters I made and then I attached the erasers to a door hinge.....that went pretty well!!!!

Elan Vaknin You can superglue them to the mask like I did
Suit looks amazing!!! I'm doing one atm, do you happen to know the brand of your hoodie?
I’ve been having a struggle with the mask could someone or anyone tell me where I could find one or how I could make one
you could get a piece of red fabric and wrap it around your head as a mask and tie it and glue the parts that show the back of your head together.
For me when I click the pants link it takes me to sweat pants that aren’t blue halp
You could use door hinges for the web shooters...... Check out fucas's vid
