really mr nobody
THAT THE BEST PUNCHLINE YOU COME WITH! DUMBA
I SORRY
BUT WHO HIRED THIS CORNY ONE LINERS PERSON THAT NARRATED LIKE A LAZY PERSON!
dark city
Sam Neil is the creepiest regular looking person I've seen.
*The Signal* (2014), starring Brenton Thwaits, Laurence Fishburne and Olivia Cooke. (Top recommendation)
DON'T WATCH THE TRAILERS OR READ THE SYNOPSES AS THAT RUINS THE MOVIES!
*Resolution* 2012 and *the Endless* 2017 both by Benson and Moorehead
*Oxygen* starring Melanie Laurent was pretty good too.
*Upgrade* 2018
I saw Predestination years ago and still think about it. It was so complex and deep without being complicated. And a story so full of twists that your jaw drops! Well-made!
If you enjoyed the film, I recommend checking out the original novella it's based on: Robert Heinlein's All You Zombies. In some ways, it's even better than the movie because it's actually even tighter with regard to the time travel.
But But But.. "You've Never Seen" it/them....
@@ravenloransstop saying this
List includes
Event horizon
Mr nobody
Advantageous
God told me to
Cube
Possessor
Liquid sky
Existenz
Altered states
Tetsuo: the iron man
Fast colour
Predestination
Beyond the black rainbow
THX 1138
Coherence
Timecrimes
Until the end of the road
Dark city
Primer
Stalker
Oh man, Event Horizon is one of my favorites, I've been watching it since I was a kid!
That movie used to scare me as a kid, especially when Sam Neill gouges out his eyeballs.
Woah. What's the run time on that film?
But But But.. "You've Never Seen" it/them....
I wish we were able to see the missing scenes from Event Horizon. Apparently, they were something. And Dark City is also one of my favorites. So underrated.
Of the movies listed, Event Horizon and Dark City are the two that I have seen
I remember after watching Event Horizon i said "Why have I never seen or heard of this movie?!?!" It's one of my favorites now along with Coherence. So many of my favorite movie tropes wrapped together. . .inept protagonist, slowly losing sanity and time travel/multi-universes.
Event Horizon was famous in my country at least and we had it almost every month shown on the national tv i didnt know it was not famous
Saw it in theater, got a few jump scares. I watch it once a year. One of the best horror space movie.
Event Horizon is hands down my favourite Sci fi film of my childhood. It's still devastating that we'll never see the directors cut / a version with the explicit hell scenes included 😦
But But But.. "You've Never Seen" it/them....
@@ravenlorans incredible isn't it. How can I loved something that nobody (including myself) has seen 😱
😱😱 Watchmojo agree 😁😁
Paul WS should remake it in his original vision. It would be the greatest horror movie ever. I just wish he would do it. There are legions of fans that would flock to see it
It’s possibly the only film where the “deleted scenes” weren’t just binned or lost, they were actually burned. Not even a single frame was saved. The whole lot was gone in one fire.
I’ve seen the following movies:
Event Horizon
Cube ( own it )
Possessor ( own it )
Existenz ( own it )
Coherence ( own it )
Dark City ( own it )
I wish there were honorable mentions. I also wish that Under The Skin was on the list. One of my favorites.
Yeah I also have seen Event Horizon, Cube and Dark City.
I finally seen Cube 3 years ago and seen Even Horizon. But I had been meaning to see Dark City since I was a kid and still haven't watched it. Thanks for reminding me
Event Horizon is probably Paul W.S. Anderson’s best movie
But But But.. "You've Never Seen" it/them....
This is the stuff Gabe from the office watches
These are the films that haunt Erin’s dreams
@@sarahfuller5482 😂😂
😂😂😂😂
Event Horizon is quite literally my fave movie of all time. ❤️❤️❤️❤️
But But But.. "You've Never Seen" it/them....

Event Horizon is one my favourite films

You guys forgot “The Fountain” starring Hugh Jackman. That was some trippy time travel stuff with a trick ending!😳😤
French film "City of lost children" from 1995, is on my short list of favorites, next to Dark City.
DAMN good movie! I think Jeunet's best.
“Domirrrrrrr….”
Coherence was insane to me bc I went in completely blind, I liked all the twists!
Me too. LOVE that movie.
Event Horizon is so damn underrated ... can recommend this one to anyone interested in "Scifi Horror" ... its sick stuff.
You guys really came through. i needed this list. Thank you.
Coherence is fantastic.
It's sooo underrated! I've introduced it to so many people over the years, it never fails to entertain and make you think!
Dark City
Predestination 🔥🔥🔥🔥
I just watched predestination for the first time a few days ago and my mind is blown. The storytelling is so good and I was genuinely shocked watching it
Very good job guys! I thought I saw them all, but you gave me some entertainment options for this weekend!
Thank you!
It's amazing how often Sam Neill shows up in sci-fi/ horror films!! At this point everyone sort of expects this to be the case ,just like how if Tim Burton directs a film you know Johnny Depp will be in it ! 😊
eXistenZ was the best of those VR sci-fi horror movies of the '90s, but if you like that sort of thing, I'd also recommend Brainscan and The Thirteenth Floor.
Possessor is definitely one of my favorite movies of all time. The first time I saw any of Brandon Cronenberg's work and was an instant fan. Extremely haunting and just so well done and thought provoking. Really makes you think about things differently. I watch the movie at least once a year around Halloween.
Another Earth [2011] manages on a very low budget to tell a story that makes you think along with a good character drama.
Coherence. Low budget story about parallel worlds pretty much filmed in one single room, but it works. Features Nicholas Brendon from Buffy as an actor who was a supporting player on a cult tv show that has just come to an end.
Event Horizon - seems like Clive Barker decided to make science fiction movie
Love it
"Brainstorm" (1983) gets missed in lists like this. Perhaps the plot is too simple to be considered daring, but it's very thought-provoking. It impressed me a lot and I think more people should see it.
Thanks for the tip. I'm running out of movies that I haven't seen. LoL.
Great list! Some I now need to track down and rewatch, others I had forgotten to watch at the time and fell off my radar. Primer requires intelligent, educated and thoughtful watching, and is definitely worth the effort. Existenz and Liquid Sky are so boggling I bought both to make sure I could watch them again!
seen :“Event Horizon”, “predestination”, “cube”,
“existenz” , "beyond the black rainbow" ,
“thx 1138”, “timecrimes”, “dark city”,
“stalker” .
11 films to go 🙂
Amazing list. Thank you.
I have “Possessor” in my picks at the last Blockbuster. It’s a trip 🤪
Saw Existenze in the theater when it was released, people threw up during the bone gun scene . But the idea of the film was gripping.
Nice recommendations! thanks!
These movies are certainly a must watch. We all can't we wait to see more content like this.
Strange days is so underrated everyone need to watch it
THANK YOU!! 👏👏👏
It's sadly even more relevant today
The Void, Time Trap and The Endless would be good additions.
I worked at an art house theater in the '80s that showed Liquid Sky. Such a funky, inventive and campy movie. No one I know has seen it though. "Me and my rhythm b-o-o-o-xxxx!."
Nice list, though maybe 1998 Six-String Samurai deserves a mention too
I've seen a lot more of these than I expected! The advantages of being a film history student, I suppose. Great list!
Love cube & its sequels. So intense from start to finish
altered states makes me uncomfortable - I’d go crazy in a deprivation chamber
Additionally
Logan’s Run
Total Recall
1984
Fahrenheit 451
"Time Crimes" was definitely good, but it was frustrating because the only reason it moved forward was because the protagonist *refused* to understand the situation, despite the overwhelming evidence in his face -- to include *him* in his face. He literally didn't recognize himself through a pair of binoculars.
Also, "Predestination" is one of the best -- if not *THE best* -- time-travel films. "Primer" would be a contender. You've gotta' watch "Primer" *two times* to get it all.. and that still may not be enough.
Please also include the list in the video description.
Elysium this movie had a lot of great social commentary about income Inequality & social hierarchy.
I think I’ve seen it 5 times now.
Event Horizon is far too well known for this list.
I agree with you on that take a lot of people probably know about most of these movies on this list
I love lists like these! You know, if you wanted to do one good by us, you could tell us what streaming services have these movies available!
Primer is so good, and for something made with only a $7000 budget is a masterpiece. My favorite time travel film.
I watched event horizon when I was definitely to young for it, scared the hell out of me. I'm 35 now and everytime I watch it I go back to being a little kid and get scared I love it. Need to find it on dvd though so I can watch it whenever I want
Some good gems in there!
I have seen Event Horizon, God Told Me To, Cube, Altered States, ExiStenz, THX 1138, and Dark City, so leaves a baker's dozen of films to be on the outlook for. Thanks!
The reason “Event Horizon” gets crapped on is it came out at the same time as “Sphere” which had bigger names (at that time at least) in its cast including multiple Academy Award winners.
Dark City was pretty good. I also love Event Horizon.
Predestination
Possesor is one of the best ❤
I think "John dies in the end" arguably deserves a spot on the list. It is one of my favourite moves with a mind-blowing take on philosophy and multiple dimensions.
Also an honourable mention for "The circle"
The matrix, dark city, and thirteenth floor are what I lovingly call the trilogy from my early 20's. All three made me question the world around me...in a good way
A Boy and His Dog, by Harlan Ellison.
Hoping to see it sometime...
Event Horizon: loved it, seen it at least 15 times.
Altered States: saw it when I was 10. Shouldn't have!
Existenz: heard of it, never saw it.
Tetsuo: The Iron Man: vaguely remember hearing about it, never saw it.
THX 1138: saw it, need to see it again.
Dark City: saw it, one of my favorites.
Stalker: only know it because I just watched your Top 20 Cursed Movie list earlier.
Never heard of the rest.
Primer! That movie is crazy.
Await Further Instructions should also be on this list.
LOVE Event Horizon. A used universe sci-fi film
Brynhildr in the Darkness (2014) is a Twisted Sci-Fi that people need to see at least once since it's popular still growing as years goes by from time to time since it's hateful year in 2014 but now beloved as of 2023 and later on in the future.
✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨
Fast Color is a must watch for anyone who loves superhero movies but wants to see a different kind of protagonist
Possessor fucked me up, it was so good, innovative, tense, twisted just everything
I saw Event Horizon at the theater when it released when I was 16. It was terrifyingly amazing!
Oh man Cube.. such a classic.
I've seen each and every one of these. Great films btw. ;)
great video
Event Horizon is a really dark Sci-fi movie, which i like very much. Pre-Destination is really good. Existenz is in my movie-shelf, but unseen so far as well as Dark City, but Altered Stages was too crazy for me. The Rest i do not know.
Event Horizon, Dark City I've seen.. a few others I'm aware of but havent seen (The Iron Man, THX1138, Stalker - mainly thanks to the PC games - and Cube)
I've seen:
Event Horizon
Cube
Liquid Sky
Existenz
Altered States
Coherence
Dark City
Primer
There's a 5 hour cut of Until The End Of The World, you say? Nice, took me ages to get a DVD copy of the theatrical cut.
I may not have seen it, but funny how STALKER is the one film I was very much aware of already. Suppose that says something about its influence, if not that of the book it was based on.
Event Horizon has always been my fave... Still can't understand Beyond the Black Rainbow (even high)
Mr Nobody is my favourite movie of all time. I've watched it so many times. Wish more people saw it.
Coherence might honestly be my favorite horror movie
I would have loved to see *Pi* on this list. It was pretty crazy; I loved it.
Primer better be on this list...
Proud to say I've seen six of the films on the list. Whenever I see a list like this, I always hope Intacto will be on it. If you haven't seen the movie Intacto, it's worth searching out.
I watched Event Horizon back-to-back with The Fifth Element while I was stoned (30 years ago). I got the movies confused and melded them into one. My wife was somewhat frustrated at my constantly pausing and asking her what the f*** was going on and who was who and why a character had disappeared!
Check out the music 🎵 for both “Stalker” & “Solyaris” (written by Eduard Artemyev 💗)
Event horizon=Astronauts stumble upon a ship that fucked around inside the immaterium from 40k 😅
I saw the early show of Event Horizon, turned around and watched the late show too!! The theater was nearly empty both shows.
Time Crimes was amazing.
Coherence is a film you watch twice and you look up a YT video to get it ! awesome film, I love recommending it o friends and family
Matt Brown is one of my all time favorites. One of the best Journeymen ever.
Event Horizon was amazing. Seen it at the theater.
Cube was amazing and Extenize was good too.
I want a part 2 for annihilation I love that movie
Seen Event Horizon, Cube, Existenz, Altered States,THX 1138 and Dark City.
Geeeeez, the one time I sat through Tetsuo was also one of the first times I did mushrooms. Don't need to see that one again, I don't think.
The music video for the Queen song "Calling all girls" was based on/inspired by THX 1138.
Time Crimes is brilliant, best movie on this list of the ones I've, will defo check out the few I haven't
Good LIst!.... Primer is brilliant too, but takes a few watches, and maybe a UA-cam vid or two to fully understand, TIme Crimes anyone can mostly get!
But I've already seen all of these, own most of them too.
Seen all of them. Actually owned an Event Horizon Production ball cap. You'll have to be more obscure.
Cube is a classic!
Event Horizon is one of my favorite movies
Stalker is just great, but getting people to watch it is difficult. I work as a librarian and I do film hotspots. Off course I made Stalker a highlight on my surreal exhibition, but nobody picked it up. 3H of Tarkovsky is just too much for many. Too bad, this movie is a must watch.
Toronto has a number of retro theatres. I saw Liquid Sky at the Bloor St Cinema (which now only shows documentaries) in the mid-1990s and I was on drugs at the time. I had no idea what the movie was about and just went on a whim. It was pretty trippy.
I was on acid when I saw Liquid Sky. It all seemed to make sense at the time.
@@UncleFexxer I was on shrooms, so it was probably close to the same experience. Lol.
I’m pretty sure most sci fi fans know event horizon, it’s a classic in my books.
The Man With The X-Ray Eyes could be on here as well
Superman? :|
@@XeniusChannel I know it's a joke, but OP is talking about a great and disturbing classic movie.
This is quite the find. If the theme fascinates you, I'd point you towards a related book. "Galaxies United" by Olivia Whitestone
