I hated this when I first saw it, but saw one in person at the dealer while getting my oil changed and I gotta say…it’s kinda sexy in its own way. And 0-60 in under 4 seconds, works for me! Destroy 95% of others on the roads.
the only thing I don't like is the steering wheel but hey it's the total package for a single dad like me

Your reviews are tops on my list to enjoy daily. I am just wondering what a window pillar is? This is something new to me. I thought windows had frames or were frameless.
I had this weird jerk (harsh shift) feeling when I test drove (even gentle on the pedal) with 60im, but not with 50i. Both were in sports mode while driving. Wonder if it's just the way 60im being tuned, or it's a setting I can change (really high regenerative braking?).

I thought this car was nothing special. Then I had it as a loaner car for my X5 LCI. I would happily trade my car for this. Even despite the looks. The performance is just ridiculous. The pickup from 40 feels just as strong as a plaid. Yet the comfort and tech are just so good. Such a good package.
Mr. Bey, do you have any information on the the battery rebates on all the electric vehicles that you cover, and is it true that only batteries made in North America are covered under the rebate?
It’s not a rebate, it’s a tax credit that you must qualify for when you do your taxes the following year, meaning you have to have enough tax liability to get it. And yes, when the Inflation Reduction Act was signed into law in August, only EV’s assembled in N.America qualify for the credit and starting in Jan 2023, they will start to look into where the battery minerals come from as well to qualify.

I saw one of these just the other day (October 8th 2023) and the "grill" had gold gradient on those triangles close to the middle. Not sure what model that is, or if it's just a color thing.
Incredibly informative review! New information and detailed helping me make some decisions as I am going electric.. just getting out of the new RRS 2024 model as it didn’t really feel that special, and wanted to try the EV route. This thing is definitely not a looker, but it may just be cool enough on the inside that I could care less! It appears that out of all the legacy manufacturers BMW is doing a pretty good thing especially with the range and overall driving performance, and at a decent price point vs. Porsche
Would love to see this compared to the Audi SQ8 55 e-tron quattro. I don't think the latter has rear wheel steering, but specs show better range.

I did a brake torque launch when an M60 came to my dealership. Recorded it for Instagram, the power made my phone slap the shit out of my face 😂 then did the same thing in a 2023 M8 comp later and the power felt meh

All New BMWs doors does not have solid thunk while closing. Not sure if the quality reduced or changed the materials to reduce weight or something.

Compared to the X5 there are a lot of things I don’t like about the look, decreased size and function of the IX. I am hoping BMW makes some adjustments in future editions. However, for now its not worth switching from me e45

Just as you starting driving, I finally saw just how stupid the (optional) glass crystal dial is as it reflected sunlight over your face. Quite a few other reviewers have pointed this out saying it can be quite blinding. So yeah the dial and door glass crystals look nice, but not really such a good idea. Other than that, I love the car! Plus I have a chance of winning this iX M60 in 3 weeks time, would be unbelievable if I did! (Oh, it will come with that crystal glass option).
Been driving mine for weeks, not a single time it happens to me.

The best choice to make some of every part of is amazing in my opinion for the history in a lifetime and is another favorite for the history in the coming years
I really don't see the value of this one over the xDrive50 version, which even with nearly every creature comfort still sets you back $92k... not cheap, but compared to $110k starting, it's something.
I mean, if you have 92k to drop on a car, what's another 12k at that point in order to get top performance? I won't be buying either just throwing that out there.
Well, the 92k example was optioned out for a trim that starts at a little below 85k. The $110k figure is a starting level for the M50 trim with no options. Not sure what it starts out with beyond just drivetrain and suspension improvements, though. Surely, there would be something, but it's just not clear what.
Still, I think this is likely to be cross-shopped against the Model X (and the M60 trim may even be a counterpart to the Plaid), and I'm not even aware of any way to make this cost more than a Model X. So it's really a question of the creature comforts and driving dynamics of a BMW vs. FalconWing doors and Tesla's one and only real practical advantage -- namely that they have a reliable charging network.
@@ChazR25 Because you can get every option of the M60 outside of the extra second of 0-60 time but get 30 miles more range. $12k may be pocket change to you, but most people will save that and ignore the extra power.

There’s always something better. This is a beautiful car but I agree it’s hard to justify at this price point. It’s just bigger…maybe that’s worth it
I own an x5 and I just tested one of these they are far from similar in size and the goals are different and the trunk on this is so small in comparison to the x5 I don’t understand the title of this video. But otherwise great review just don’t get the x5 comparison as someone who owns the 2021 x5M

Still an ancient 12V battery under the hood. How to charge that small battery if BMW does not want owners to open the hood?
BMW is the pinnacle of the automotive world in our opinion and where had all of the German car brands.
They may be in ICE configuration. What they can do for EV has yet to be determined over time.
I foresee a class action lawsuit with that headrest!
I like the car. Modern, futuristic, amazing performance and quality of build. I like that people are skeptical, go ahead and keep your 2010 cars, this is too "ugly" for you. I'll get it with a little depreciation, can't wait.

What was not told to you in this video is that the door sills are made of carbon fiber which reduces the solid thud noise. The windows are also frameless which don’t help as well.

BMW is going through an identity crises as they continue to explore new designs. The interior in particular is all over the place.
True for all car manufactures really. For most of them, EVs are totally new territory, so few of them are sure what the consumer wants or how to proceed. BMW holding on to the use of unnecessary grills, for example.

it's A Literal Ticking Time "Bomb" That Captivates Electrical Currents Into A Specific Concealed Placement Of The Chassis Platform, Which Then Being The Primary Motherboard To All Secondary Electronic Conductors (Input/Output) That Are Typical Of A Present Day Automotive Innovation. 14:12 I really wish auto reviewers would stop giving manufacturers a pass on these laggy screens. That does not look “quick” or “responsive”. The standard should be any phone screen (that’s what everyone is used to). Anything less will feel laggy.
All they had to do was put a battery pack in the x5, throw some blue accents around and everybody would have been happy.

Agree that it’s much quicker and has much better range than the e-tron, but the e-tron has proper massage seats for both driver and passenger, a much easier MMI control center, same adjustable suspension, and you can get a 2nd hand 2019 low mileage Prestige (fully loaded) one for $60k. I just did that. Traded in my Model Y for a Hyundai Ioniq 5, and traded that in for a 2019 e-tron Prestige, and absolutely love the e-tron. For the price, it’s really, really nice, and has almost all of the luxuries that this has.

It's really cool, but ill take a X5m competition. My friend has an x3m competition, and it is amazing. The only thing with me and electric cars is the charging yeah 80% charge in what 30 min? Cool but i rather gas up in 5 min and have 100% range in a gas power car not to mention exaughst noises

I saw one in person last week. At first from a distance it looked like a minivan. The proportions are very upright, the side profile is very cab-forward, and the ground clearance is more sedan than SUV-like. So essentially a minivan profile.

I bought BMW IX in October, drove 3 weeks, couple defects happened. BMW told me it’s dangerous to drive again and hold my car for almost two months to fixed. The driving assistant system could kill me if it fails when I use the cruise mode. BMW just suggest me don’t use the cruise mode which I have paid.
Garbage products control and customer service, very regret buying BMW.
