Nah, if it was devolving it would turn back to funk music, which isn't a bad thing. Now declining might be the word your looking for but that's very subjective.
Truth is someone really bright might like some of this stuff and make someone really cool out of it years from now. Kendrick did that back in 2016 with the Damm album, experimented with multiple sounds and just put better lyrics to the style of that time. The rhythms and overall sound just needs something new and needs intellegent songwriters to be ready for that change.

for real
Couldn't agree any more, out of most of the genres of music. I believe that hip hop is suffering the most. I'm all for evolving, but please do it in the right direction!
Right, this articulate guy who has been on the screen for god knows how long needs you to reiterate what he's trying to say
I totally agree with you
“Now days everybody wanna talk like they got somethin to say” 😅
“But nothing comes out when they move there lips “
Just a bunch of gibberish, and mfers act like they forgot about dre

Everything has a golden age.
As an 45 yo dude I need to remind myself to speak wisely like Dre. This guy is the epitome of OG. He has managed to remain relevant since I was 7 years old 😂
Spoken like a true business man who profits from what he just said.
😂
A very successful businessman, but also an undeniable track record ( puns intended)
Also talking like someone that isn't trying to trash younger generations and accepting that their older views are no longer "cool".
@@beastfromthemiddleeast6369 the views have been the same since the 80's - white executives telling 20 year old broke black kids that if they want a million dollar contract they have to rap about v!olence, g@ngs, drvgs, promiscuous sx, material objects.
Exactly 😂
This why my Pandora stays on old school hip hop📻🎼🎤🎼🎤🎼
Haha had no idea that app was still around
exactly! the older generations is always gonna hate on the newer one's stuff. Dre Gets it. based!
Dre said “ fuck that …. Fuck that … “ 😂😂
“I don’t like it but it makes me money so stfu about it” 😂
Right! That’s the Co sign. It’s making money ALOT of money so industry people fuck with it. Older rappers may hate because there is high value money return for possibly lower quality rap songs
the Dr Dre is a old Westside legend he knows what is going in the hip hop industry
Dr aud that he listen to hard rock, pop, jazz, mental, house, country, blues and other genres you wouldn't expect, but he's producer and an artist who get inspirations and ideas from all sides..
When you clearly state something is shit, subjectively you hate it.
What a calculated safe response. The real thing he should of said is its' "devolving".
