The more I think about it, Treasure Planet would've been a great fit for 3DDD.
Sora could've explored the actual planet itself, and Riku could've gone to the Moon Base.
As an old man, and old fan; People have literally been SCREAMING for a Treasure Planet world since KH2.
Disney and Square seem to continue to drift further away from their fanbase, and just do whatever sells. I understand why, but it also makes sense why after beating KH3.. I had 0 desire to replay it. Even 0.2 is more interesting, and has better worlds in that small demo.
Disney sabotaged the damn movie. Why do you think they want anything to do with it?

Disney doesn't want to know a crap about that movie's existence, a good reason it hasn't appeared yet.
I remembered reading about how Woody and Buzz were originally planned to be summons in Kingdom Hearts 2, but got scrapped.
The only thing that was left of their existed were the unfinished models that were worked on before the complete scraping.
One of the tings I’ve learned about these games is that you have to figure in how each world fits into the games’ stories. The main characters always learn something from each world they visit. I don’t see how “The Jungle Book’ would’ve in Birth By Sleep. Though I think they should’ve at least added “The Sword In The Stone” to Dream Drop Distance. Yen Sid said they were to visit 7 worlds, but they only did 6 and then got sent to the World That Never Was which shouldn’t have counted.
I think The Jungle Book could've worked in Birth by Sleep because of its themes of "knowing where you belong" and "knowing when to let someone go."
And The Sword in the Stone could've worked in Birth by Sleep since it is a prequel game and just like how it shows what Stitch was up to prior to the events of KH2 it could've been a good way to show Merlin in his own world and since that movie is about him teaching King Arthur how to become someone important it could've been used to tie in with the trio's goal of becoming Keyblade Masters and the hardships of life.
Treasure Planet and Atlantis Lost Empire are my top picks to include in a future KH title, I honestly wouldnt mind if it was from say Missing Link instead of a Sora-centric title
A star wars prequel story could only really work with the characters literally inspired by the prequels
Terra and Anakin, Aqua and Obi-Wan, and Ventus and Ahsoka are all natural parallels and would have incredible chemistry
I’ve been saying treasure planet and Atlantis lost empire should’ve been included since day one of kh1. I mean the whole “WORLD” travel gummi ship system makes those titles a must.
Another world that was cut from KH1 but appeared later was toy box. There was concept art for a toy barn world based on toy story 2 but the acquisition of Pixar had yet to finalize.
I have a theory that a lot of the more "realistic" Disney ips will show up in 4. Due to Quadratum being shown as close to "our world" these so called forbidden worlds were also banished to unreality. I expect to see Treasure Planet, Atlantis, and many more

Whilst the Death Star and having to fight Darth Vader would be awesome... I think the Clone Wars era would work so much better thematically. Anakin descending to the dark side... it just makes sense for KH. It also can be a wake up call that Sora can't save everyone??
I would love to see him build a relationship with clone wars Anakin and then return in a future game fighting alongside look and disheartened at Anakin's turn

Looking over things, I think the Jungle Book world was scrapped because how similar it looked to Neverland. Having two worlds that have the same look, or feel would be redundant. In the end, I'm sure Nomura wanted Neverland for the backstory with that world, and piecing everything together.
I’m not sure how Pinocchio would’ve fitted in 358/2 days because he turned into a real boy at the end of the original kingdom hearts game.
That was the idea since you can see that Pinocchio was gonna be featured in his real boy form, that Xion would've see that a wooden puppet was able to become a real boy.

Since 358/2 days story actually starts before ending of KH1 (Roxas was born right after Sora released his&Kairi's heart), maybe it was meant to be some early game world, where we could see how Pinocchio became human (aka retelling of the cartoon). However it may not add up, since Xion wouldn't be a thing until CoM, but the earlier story draft may differ as well from final product.

I still think treasure planet and Atlantis should’ve been in KH3. TP could’ve been a location that could’ve tied into them looking for the master of masters box, and with Atlanteans living for thousands of years could’ve played into the organization 13 plot
Even though it's not a deleted world, the piece of deleted content I would love to see was the scrapped King/Kentauros boss fight that was supposed to be at the end of KH2. Not only did the photos of it look so cool (and maybe a bit beyond the capabilities of what the PS2 could have easily pulled off), but I swear to god that months before KH2 released I had a dream about a boss fight for the game that looked EXACTLY like those images. I think I might have briefly peered into an alternate reality where that concept was actually released.
Really looking forward to how they handle Return of The Jedi.
Treasure planet would be amazing for Roxas or Ventus, learning to grow up with Jim and Captain Silver
They really should've remade 358/2 days for current gen that game was so awesome. Choosing who you want to play as, Co-op dashing around the map as the organization 13 and having the game voice acted would've been crazy on Playstation and Xbox just replace the backpack system with the AP system from the main games and it would be one of the best in the series

There are reasons why some Disney worlds are removed. Either it wouldn't fit the plot or they'll save it for the next game.
Take the Jungle Book for example. How can you make it work? How can it work in the story? What's the relationship with the characters?
Or indeed sustain it over three different storylines as the Birth by Sleep worlds had. Terra’s storylines had a recurring theme of temptation, misleading and self-reflection, I can’t think of a Jungle Book character who might tempt or mislead Terra. Maybe if material from Jungle Book 2 was planned, like a boss fight against Shere Khan at the temple and Aqua learning that you don’t need to have only one life while rejecting the other. But that also raises the question of how many NPCs they could do, since being on the PSP Birth by Sleep had a noticeably small number of them (Terra’s story in Castle of Dreams and the Coliseum both draw attention to invisible crowds), all being important to the story and/or present in the source material.
A lot of ideas in the Jungle Book are pretty similar to what we got in the final game with Neverland, honestly.

You know how the Jungle Book is mostly about Baloo growing attached to Mowgli, Mowgli being stubborn about going back home and Baloo having to let Mowgli go in the end?
I imagine they could've done something like that with Aqua and Terra's attachment to Ven and Ven not wanting to go back to the Land of Departure for his own good.

I prefer the Disney & Pixar stuff better. But not so much on 20th Century Fox stuff, Marvel stuff and Lucasfilm stuff like Star Wars. Even though Disney bought them, I still don't consider Lucasfilm, Marvel and 20th Century Fox as actual Disney things. But for Pixar, it's definitely a real Disney thing. Because even before the Walt Disney Company bought it, Pixar has always been working with Disney to make movies, shorts and shows but had never worked with any other companies and never worked on it's own without Disney's help.

Honestly a jungle book world sounds great id really hope they'd go deep jungle with and make super platformery. And you'd have to keep coming back for secrets every time you unlock new movement options.

jungle book in kh1 and ddd kh1 jungle book was ultimately scrapped in favor of tarzan and ddd its unknown.
Also alantis the lost empire was considered for kh1 in the concept as a tie in world but story conflicts and time constraints was the ultimate reason why it was scrapped
Lastly Toy box and monstropolis was planned to be in kh2 as there exist debug room code for both worlds and that ddd was going to have a old and new mechanic with each world planning that originally fantasia 2000 and space paranoids were going to be worlds initally.

The Star Wars World theories just don’t make sense and I’m glad people are being more realistic that it might not be in Kingdom Hearts 4. It would be cool but how does it fit into the narrative with the Master Of Masters and Quadratum? Lightsaber Keyblade and force powers like how would that work?
One missed oppurtunity was limiting all the FF characters to not just smaller roles throughout the series, but just radiant garden for the most part. Claoud and Squall were at their best in KH2.
Tarzan can be in kh again IF Disney can get the rights to it from Edgar Rice Burrough's estate.
I'm still not a fan of the idea that star wars will be included, but many details point to it.
Maybe KH4 can change my mind, but I really hope that it will just be a world that's just an inclusion for the fans of the other franchise (like Halloween Town).
Seeing the FF gang only via DLC in KH3 was a stab to the heart for me, but the thought of them being replaced by a group of Jedi would be too much for me.

@@ProdigyxCD The FF characters from Radiant Garden (or Traverse town in KH1) were supporting side characters that had a role in the main plot. KH3 changed that and included them only via dlc and their hubworld wasn't playable anymore.
They were replaced "storywise" by the characters from TWEWY in KHDDD for example (which had a valid story)
I meant that the big variety of Jedi could replace the FF characters as these "supportive side characters" in the future of the series.
The unfinished plots with them suggest that they will be cut from the series completely, imho 😕
The FF characters usually made their appearances in the hub world like you mentioned. For DDD, the hub world in a sense was traverse town, so it makes sense that the TWEWY characters replaced the FF characters for that part. If the hub world determines the characters that are replacing FF characters to you, Star Wars will not replace. Star Wars would be its own world and not in quadratum, which will most likely be the hub world.

I find it rather odd the disney robin hood was never considered for a kh world. A world full of greed which lends itself well to heartless and opens the possibilities for a medieval styled heartless. While maybe werewolf styled heartless could be both scary and interesting. While battling in a big forest and a castle.
The Kingdom Hearts version of Palpatine's speech to Anakin would not take very much to adapt. Make the Jedi aware of Darkness and Light, who happen to channel them in a different way, then swap out whenever Palpatine mentions 'death' with 'destiny' and 'the force' with 'darkness'.
Darkness is outside of time and heartless can travel through time to influence the past, creating a kind of haunting and a bootstrap paradox where it isn't clear if someone was already on the road to darkness or if their future self ensured they would be. That would be a very neat way to explore the story of Anakin Skywalker 'haunted' by Darth Vader from the future, thereby ensuring Palpatine's victory.
I think for me kingdom hearts missing link should have a jungle book and or treasure planet world.
Ive loved Treasure planet ever since i first saw it as a kid, and i truly believe it does not deserve majority of the hate it got. I would love to see it make a comeback in some way, and possibly have a game mode with us riding on a Solar Board. (I would secretly love a Treasure planet 2 movie as well, but ill take the world for now :D)

What sucks is that Disney would never approve the SW main trilogy or prequels no matter how better they would make the game. You can already tell that they’re going to force their way with the prequels..(no pun intended)

No, they wouldn't.
The whole point of the series is to visit Disney worlds whereas the FF characters are just cameos, it was never a MAJOR thing in the games.
And FF worlds wouldn't work because the FF characters in KH are completely different.
And why the hell would we need FF worlds when, for starters, there's still so many Disney movies that they haven't used, and also... you realize it would be just smaller, watered down versions of already-existing games, right?
Why would you visit a theme park version of Midgar or Spira when you can already play the real thing?
Honestly, every time I see people saying "WE NEED FF WORLDS AND NOT DISNEY WORLDS" it just feels like they want Disney to be removed of the equation so badly and pointlessly set themselves up for disappointment.
Ugh god if there's a Star Wars world in KH the series will be dead to me. Any other live action properties ending up in the game will sour my enjoyment. The whole reason it became popular in the first place is because of the mix of cartoony Disney characters appearing with Final Fantasy characters.

I know everyone is saying "Oh Treasure Planet should've been in KH a long time ago!" but honestly I feel The Jungle Book is the world that really should've been in KH a long ago and it's still weird how it hasn't yet considering how basically every other classic Walt Disney Era animated movie has been featured in KH in some way or another and The Jungle Book is just that iconic.
Like, it feels weird how we have high-quality 3D renders of so many classic Disney characters... but then you see people having to use the renders from Jungle Book: Groove Party, you know what I mean?
And I feel either Birth by Sleep or Dream Drop Distance (mostly BbS because of its "past" theme) would've been perfect for it because I feel that old "simple" style of KH worlds would've fit a movie like that more than KH3's style which is a lot more grandiose, same thing with a Sword in the Stone World, really.
And really ever since finding out about The Jungle Book almost being in KH but was scrapped for supposedly already having a jungle world in Neverland and probably because of legal issues with Louis Prima's state, I just can't help but wonder a LOT of things regarding what could've been:
- What was going to be the name of the world?
- How would the world icon have looked like?
- Was it going to be just the plot of the movie?
- A semi-new story, perhaps?
- What were going to be the areas for us to explore?
- How would the story have turned out with Birth by Sleep’s story structure?
- What was going to be the “message/lesson” for Aqua, Ven and Terra to learn?
- Were they going to still be their normal human selves or were they going to actually turn into animals (I assume wolves, given the setting)?
- Who was going to be featured in the world? Obviously Mowgli, Baloo and Bagheera were going to be there, but, would that have been it?
- Was King Louie going to be in the game or we just would've had to explore his empty throne room (this IS a pre-KH3 game, after all)?
- Was Kaa going to be in the game? Maybe even as a boss?
- Who was going to fight Shere Khan?
- Was Shere Khan going to use Terra for something, kinda like some of the other Disney villains in the game?
- Ok, this one is a bit more personal, since it is a Final Fantasy character, but am I the only one who thinks that it’d be neat to meet Red XIII in this world? ...'cuz, y'know, he’s a red dog? In a world based on The Jungle Book? …get it? …erm, moving on...
- Who were going to be the voice actors for the characters? I assume Jim Cummings as Kaa, Bob Joles as Bagheera and Corey Burton as Shere Khan, but, what about Baloo and Mowgli?
- You think they would’ve actually asked Haley Joel Osment to reprise his role as Mowgli, even though his voice wouldn’t have fit at all anymore? ...plus, y'know, him also voicing Vanitas in the game? Boy, that would've been kinda jarring, don't you think?
- How would the Unversed enemies and bosses have looked like? Monkeys? Vultures? Elephants? Snakes?
- What was the music going to sound like? Jungle beats with a bit of jazz?
- Was “The Bare Necessities” going to be the field theme, much like “Bibbidi-Bobbidi-Boo” was for Cinderella’s world?
- You think we could’ve gotten a dancing mini-game (you know, like The Jungle Book: Groove Party?) but it was scrapped in favor of the one in Disney Town?
- How would the Keyblade for this world have looked like and what was it going to be called?
- Who was going to be the D-Link from this world?
- How was the D-Link going to function?
- Was Shanti going to have a cameo at the end?

Star Wars in Kingdom Hearts is going to be like Tron but twice as worse. Just forced, Not Disney releated at all, does not fit.
Once Upon a Time would have been a good property to cross over with Kingdom Hearts, as both have original characters interacting with Disney characters (OUaT was less bound to the Disney source material than KH, although things like Frozen were better represented there IMO) as well as themes of light and darkness, and manipulation of hearts. Vexen would give up all research on replicas to investigate the Dark One dagger.
OUAT was based on the actual tales, not the Disney renditions, for one. And to see a cross over with that mediocre show would’ve diminished the value of Kingdom Hearts entirely, and possibly ruined the thematic elements that make KH what it is.

I don't want Star Wars to be in KH. I said it, I don't want to. Why? Because if that's the case, Darth Vader and Emperor Palpatine would just be reduced to arc world antagonists and that's it. And sorry not sorry, I don't want to see two of the most iconic, legendary and best villains in the history of fiction being treated like mere obstacles and beaten by Sora. Because yes, I'm a KH fan but I don't find Sora that great of a character, he's just good and fun but that's it. So I don't want him to defeat two of the best villains in existence. Personal opinion there but I don't care if I miss a good world.
What I want though are a world based on Atlantis The Lost Empire and Treasure Planet. Both of these would be beyond perfect.

The problem with trying to get a Star Wars world in Kingdom Hearts is a simple one. Both Disney and Square Enix tried to get away with Deep Jungle in kingdom hearts 1 and got sued for it because disney does not own the tarzan movie.
People also forget that disney does not own star wars officially. Both the star wars cast for episodes 7,8 and 9 and George Lucas have stated publicly that disney only has creative control over the star wars movies. The movie plots are still owned by George Lucas. That is why I can never officially see a star wars world in a kingdom hearts game unless George Lucas is willing to sell all star wars copyrights to disney.
Then how do you explain the AT-ST in Endor?
@DarkOverlord96 I have never seen endor, so I can't answer it. The only Star Wars shows that I've seen are the following:
1. Star Wars the clone wars
2. Star Wars rebels
3. Star Wars the bad batch
I've never been a complete Star Wars fan. But I am a big kingdom hearts fan and disney fan.
If we get a Star Wars World, please be either Prequels Clone Wars or Original Trilogy, but no fucking sequels for the love of god. The sequels don't have anything to offer besides narrative deficiencies.

That sucks! I loved The Jungle Book growing up! And of course Kathleen Kennedy wasn't going to allow Square Enix to make a Star Wars world! Least of all the Clone Wars! That would involve showing fans how awesome the original characters from BEFORE her reign were! Of course that can't happen on her watch. And I agree that Treasure Planet would be awesome!

Its literally a conflict between the light and the Dark side of the Force with Space Travel and Themes of Hero Journey and Destiny and Fate with Magical Abilities and Knights with magical Swords powered by Crystals that can appear and dissapear in battle
