we trained our pup to ring the bells and it has been a DREAM. It took a hot minute, but so worth it. But sometimes she rings the bell just because she wants to go outside.

Pro tip put the bells on the wall right besides the door so you don’t have to hear the bells and have them swing everywhere every time you open the door!

I definitely recommend getting a paw cleaner I know one brand is the paw plunger! It makes it super easy to clean her paws!
We want to get one of those when she's a little bigger, for now she's so tiny we just use the dog wipes and they seem to get the job done! :)

6:08 OMG YES!! bell potty training is so practical and easy too! our puppy only took 2 weeks to start ringing the bell its fantastic! (we just rang the bell every single time we went to take her potty and then she made the ascociation: "oh, bell = potty" so she got the hnag of it really quickly)
yup!! It was super easy and the best thing we taught her!
We have the bell for our pup! He caught on within the first week and it’s great! Except sometimes you can’t differentiate between potty time and “I want to go outside” time
I'm so excited for her to learn it!!! She's already slightly catching on and it's exciting!!! ❤️
You got some really great stuff and items I never even thought about buying when we had our dog before she passed away. I will definitely have to look into getting some of these when we get our next dog! Hope things are going well with the puppy!

We're doing it for a few months just to stock up on toys and treats because we definitely don't need THAT many toys hahaha. So far they've checked each-other out but hopefully they'll soon be bff's!

I have the same type of toy the tequila bottle is! I got it at TJ Maxx except it’s a coral pink Rosè bottle! The bottle inside has a screw on lid attachment that makes it squeak as well! I’m getting a brown husky mix puppy in 2 days! I named her Moonpie which is super meaningful to me and my partner. I was so excited shopping for girly pet stuff! My current 7 month old dog name is Bear and they just don’t make cute stuff for male dogs idk why.

Getting a new puppy so I’m on here just in case I am missing anything. But we have a 7 year old Aussie and I’m happy to hear all the things you want to do for her bc aussies are particular in something’s like the face, shedding, social skill. So happy you did your research bc aussies are a little extra haha. I love my boy though. Getting a girl cockapoo now (well my mom lives with us and it’s going to be her dog lol)
I was going to say return the pee pads bc aussies are easy to potty train but this video is 2 years old haha
hahaha and you're SO right. Freya learned to ring the bells and go potty outside in like 2 days MAX.
You should check out the mudbuster! My puppy is 5 months and after we go to the park, his paws get dirty and it makes it really easy to clean his paws before coming back into the house :)

I know it isnt super uplifting but i like it cause i struggle with a lot of stress and fear and it is just this little thing that tells me it is okay to be afraid❤

I'm so excited for puppy content! It's been 3ish years since Violet was a puppy and she's our most recent non adopted dog so I miss the puppy stage!
I know right now we hate the sleepless nights, but we'll miss it eventually!! soaking in all the puppy time we can! ❤️

you know, in the warmer weather, you can fill the baby kong with water (stand it up in a cup) and freeze. She'll lick the ice in the kong for a while! obviously, do this on the grass or outside, or a plastic mat in her playpen. :)

My dog is now almost 2 years old, so here are my tips for your puppy 😊 Baby pads are actually way cheaper than dog pads, and you can buy them almost everywhere. She will want to chew a LOT so I recommend giving her carrots (it will keep her busy and it's better for her teeth than all these processed treats). About the shampoo, I would recommend getting a fragrance-free one. You may never know if she is allergic to something at the beginning.
I was wanting to get her carrots but wasn't sure if it was good for her baby teeth or if I had to wait until adult teeth came in!!

I have such bad puppy fever right now! My dog just turned 1, and she is at such a nice age. we took her to the doggo park the other day for the first time, and she loved all the dogs. Watching this video is very bad XD

We bought everything like 1-2 weeks prior. We have a cat so we wanted things set up at least 3-4 days before we actually brought the pup home so she could get used to the new arrangements! :) ❤️

Pro tip sense your puppy just moved in, the puppy wipes are really cool, but for me who is on a budget, we used regular unseated baby wipes which work very well, I have been using them for about 9 months and my puppy has had not allergic reaction or any rash. And I’m sure you know this but most vets cut your puppies nails sense you can’t take your puppy to the groomer until she’s fully vaccinated. And when your vet says it’s time for her to get spayed, definitely get her spayed, cuz I made the mistake by not going in enough time and my pup got her period. Unless you want your puppy to have puppies :)
oh yes, I definitely plan to always listen to the vet :)
No, it’s good to let the, have 1 or 2 heats, it gives mature time.
And it’s necessary for large dogs to wait 2 heats.
Small dogs usually 1, but 2 is better.

@@silvertonguez4195 hey I’ve been doing research for quite some time and I had a dog of my own for a while but anyways put her on a potty schedule every hour take her out I know that seems frequent but being that it’s a puppy they have a small bladder or pay attention and learn the signs of when they gotta potty and for the barking teach ur dog quiet

You should prepare a puppy bag before she starts going out. It makes everything so much easier! You know everything you might need outside is already packed so all you have to do is grab the bag, put your doggo on the leash and its go time.

How did Freya do with the pet loo? Was it difficult to train her to use it? Also, I've seen many people say it was difficult to clean and would get stinky. Is it hard to clean?
THIS ^^^ I’ve seen the same thing, and I also want to know.
It wasn't hard to get her to use it. Just consistency and keeping her ON it until she does her business then praise then letting her off. So she would know what it's used for.
As far as cleaning we kept it on the balcony and so being outside helped with any "stink" but definitely buy the cleaning kits! theyre super helpful and WORK! We "deep cleaned" ours like monthly? but other than that we rinsed with hot soapy water weekly with the cleaning kit and stuff and never had any issues.
What wet and dry food do you feed your doggy
She eats Zignature Limited Ingredient food! She's currently on the Salmon and Trout flavor!

I'm not even getting a puppy but your videos are so entertaining :}} also one question you said that you couldent train her since when you get her she wouldn't be fully vaccinated... If I get a puppy do I have to vaccinate the pup?
I would highly recommend vaccinating them because it keeps them safe from diseases and things they could pick up in the world or from other dogs, but of course that is your decision.

I’m not sure if you’re doing it correctly because ours works!
this dog is going to be spoiled. My family friend had a Australian shepard dog growing up and her name was maggie ( which is my name- maggie is short for margaret). well, it got confusing because everything they called maggie would come over.... so, eventually i said, say the following for the dog " Maggie the dog" ... so she started coming to maggie the dog versus maggie because it was frustrating to figure out who he was calling ( the human or the dog).
hahah, there's a friend of mine who's dog's name is Griffin lol.

I also live in the city and would not want a dog now ( picking up poop in a bag is a turn off for me) and when I did have a dog we lived on a farm and just let her roam. Also Australian shepards are herding dogs so they NEED a lot of exercise if they not expected to herd or be on a farm.
What food do you feed her?
we feed her Purina Large Puppy Breed kibble, that is what the breeder had her on, so we're sticking with that for a little bit before changing her! :)

I would recommend hanging a leash by your front door. Puppies aren't potty trained and if she starts to go, you can run over and get a leash and take her outside real quick instead of going into your closet to grab one.

Because free feeding (even though it’s timed) is such a waste of time when you could be training them while they’re eating their food. Their attention is strong because it’s their food . It builds your bond. They’ll be so well trained
We've been hand feeding and training her with half of her food and then feeding her the rest which has been working SO well! :)
