I mix two bags at a time in mine. With the motor off, I put some water in it and sit the first unopened bag across the opening. I then cut the bag open in the middle across the edge. Then I turn the bag, lift it an inch or two, and drop it. Like cracking an egg. It opens and the contents spill out with minimal dust. I mix the first bag then stop it and do the second bag the same way. This mixer is worth the money spent.
Yeah I went on a mission to get max use out of this lol that or fate sent me a ton of work. So glad i bought this. Theres a lot of ways to run a job I have bin using this to mix portland cement, sand, rocks and water sooooo much cheaper to have a truck drop off 10 tons of rocks and mix it my self.
bad idea to be putting the dry cement while mixer is moving , lots of dust you will be breathing in for no reason... tilt up, put some water in , add cement ,turn on , tilt half way, add more water as needed , tilt down slowly to pour and not make a mess or turn off pour on bucket, cement is not going to harden depending of type ... I rinse a bit after each batch to keep cement from sticking to machine ... either way this machine is cheap and it saves a lot of time, $$ and pain ! good job !
