PSO are a special breed of Singapore`s law enforcement agency who are personal body guards for all of Singapore`s ministers . They may be seconded from the Commando Battalion and from Special Operations Command. SOC consists of three main units: the Police Tactical Unit (PTU), the Special Tactics and Rescue (STAR) Unit and the Police K-9 Unit

Gurkhas are guarding the locale and the premises. SecCom are escorting the principles. They work hand in hand, as well as the division officers.

Gurkhas only do sentry and guarding. There're other elite units like STAR, SecCom, PTU, etc. that do the main task.
SecCom is only escorting. The ones that are really watching over the VIPs are the star team. The watch over the VIPs from the shadows and even as civillian.

Many of these body guards started young, just like fresh Gurkha and then trained up. My friend is one of them and I can't disclose more. It is a passion thing when they were young. They get to chat with VIPs too, which is a fun thing, as part of their job.

I Was A GUARDSMEN in the very early Eighties and out of curiosity and adventurous spirit... Wouldn't it great 👍to takes on these trained SPF/PSO to sees how good, alerts & swift and adaptation they are... I think I loved this healthy combativeness both side's be it one to one or one against two or three of them and or vice-versa... Perhaps it might be a very good sport or tactical event annually BTW these Elite and interested individual like myself or Reservists, N. S brothers and sisters to takes them on... Even better is organized by the ministry with their blessings to give these Elite SPF/SPO a humble Surprise attacks during theirs routines "walkabout" or having it in their training compound attacks routines just like reservist open mobilization events annually! I think definitely there are Brave People's & Soldiers like me to Confront theses Elite if given the blessings to challenge and to help enhance theirs duties and i think it is positives contribution both sides if OK.
I always interested to find out how good they are... They Must be seriously good to protect people's lives if u an Elite SPF/SPO... OUR HOMEGROWN ELITES. This is most Crucial👍👍👍 SALUTE AND RESPECT!!!
