So more than half the towers end up just losing because they can't hit a certain type of bloon which I think goes against testing the power level. Ends up being really boring content, so I appreciate you doing the MIB here.
One thing i think you overlook about the Crossbow master is the sheer range it has. It makes it a great partner with Subs because of it, but even just by itself, placing it in a good centralizing point does so much better than stuffing him on the edge to maximize pierce. He may not be the most powerful tower, but he will always be chipping down bloons with those crits and range, especially if you go Primary Training as the most abundant thing Top Path villages grant is more range to primary towers
Jokes aside, dps per second is actually an entirely different unit than dps. One of them measures the damage per second, and the other measures the rate at which the damage per second is changing.
You could make a tower efficiency formula using the results from this test. Let's say, you add all the rounds each tier made it to, then divide that by the total cost of every tier. This way, cheap towers like dart that obviously won't have as many rounds passed can still be objectively assessed as cost is factored in
I would suggest that it should be based on pop count instead of rounds because lasting 3 more rounds could easily mean 50% more bloons pop by the tower
Also this doesn't really work for towers like pmfc or support towers like alch or overclock. And doesn't factor in how good towers are when buffed / with synergy (tack zone for example can easily double it's DPS with something as cheap as an embrit) If you rly want something assessing how good a path is tbh the expert chimps tierlist + explanations work fine enough

I have a weird relationship with sharpshooter dart monkey. I love using the tower because I find it to be so cool in concept and design (better than XBM) with crits feeling so satisfying cracking and destroying ceramics whole, but I rarely get to use it nowadays because of its poor use in the harder maps and the outusefullness in chimps.(that being said I do not feel the same way about XBM, just sharp shooter, because XBM sucks)

I wonder how useful it would be in BTD6 if you could put one upgrade into both crosspaths for a tier 3+ tower instead of just upgrading one crosspath twice (5-1-1 instead of 5-2-0, for example)
Base village adds like 10% range and regrow blocker might matter so every test should have at least a x-1-x village, and if camo/lead/black/white/purple popping power is needed, x-3-x.
u should just keep the village for consistency for every tower, 10% range is a difference but if every tower has the 10% its fair game. the only problem is regrow blocker but the second the regrows are out of range, then the farm happens either way. Its either that or find a mod that can allow you to pick any buff in the game for any tower.
9:50 I'm gonna sound like a nerd but if you use a 0-3-0 ice monkey to freeze the river and put 2 villages on the river and give the one closest to the dart monkey bigger radius it just barely reaches I used this to black border this map lol
Isab you should also do a version where they are at there best is possible non buff wise like plasma fanclub just place down 19more 0-0-0 and don't upgrade them until it fails just like you did already and crossbow master has the monkey knowledge to get 2 of them so that would be a buff
honestly would like to see an extra test with a full smf setup, if the juggernauts get map advantage i think the smf should get "actually using the ability correctly" advantage

@@futurepastnull11 balance is too big for the 3xx juggernaut. The projectile lifespan isn’t really long enough to make too much use of the walls, and the track is far shorter. That being said, I do wish he had tried other maps for the 5xx ultra juggernaut. There are definitely some other candidates that might have been better, including balance

Chimps on the other hand might be a bit tricky, mainly because of the ddts, but I’d be surprised if this hasn’t already been done by someone
