GD's girlfriend knew that she was dying of cancer and didn't want him to live with the pain of her loss, so she told his friend to pretend that they were going out. She thought that if GD hated her he would forget about her (which didn't work). When she went into the hospital for surgery his friend called and told him to come. When he got there his friend gave him back their ring and told him the truth, that she really still loved him, but by then it was too late.

Haru haru is one of the legendary song in kpop..everytime you listen to it, it has only gotten better with age..such a timeless song..also bigbang are very good at playing with their own songs...their live performance on haru haru with different arrangement is so phenomenol...i hope if you can check out their haru haru live performance at japan dome tour 2017...

I really love this song it use to make me cry though but it's still beautiful
So here is how I interpret the story in BigBang's "Haru Haru" MV. First off its not a love triangle like some people first think. T.O.P was doing the girl a favor and they were trying to spare GD the pain of watching his girlfriend die. The girl and GD were in love and the girl got sick and she knew she was dying. She didn't want to put GD through the pain of seeing her get sicker and die, so she figured the easiest why for him to get over her once she was gone was to make him mad at her. So she came up with a plan and asked T.O.P. to "please act like you have feelings for me and that you are stealing me away from GD."
Essentially, the girlfriend was thinking that, "If GD is mad at me it will be easier for me to say goodbye and for him to get over me once I am gone." So T.O.P reluctantly plays along. That's why GD is so angry because he thinks his best friend is betraying him and that's why T.O.P acts so smug to make GD believe the role he is supposed to be playing.
In the end though everyone realizes that GD needs to know what is happening and he should be there to say goodbye, so Taeyang goes against the girl's wishes and calls GD to tell him the girl is in the hospital and he needs to get there right away. When GD gets to the hospital T.O.P tells him what was really going on and explains the ring he exchanged with the girl and the "proposal" he witnessed was all an act and the couple ring was really meant for GD. The girl never stopped loving him and they were all doing this to try and protect him from the pain of losing her, etc. The sad thing is GD didn't make it in time and the girl ended up dying on the operating table.

Btw Taeyang used te get called The Korean Usher. They have the same dance style and sweet voice you really should check his work spatially the old one like WEEDING DRESS. This song did soo good even outside Asia, a lot of reactors have reacted to it and said they actually heard it before

If BTS had We Are Bulletproof/No More Dreams, BIGBANG had LALALA. They debuted as a hardcore hiphop group in 2006 but I think S.Korea wasn't ready for hiphop back then. That's why it took BIGBANG quite a while to make it in the industry. It wasn't until they changed their sounds a little that people really noticed them.

Thanx for the react guys. Just wanna say that Pat you are so right. I’ve seen this video more times than I can count but it gets me EVERY time fr. The emotion is so palpable and I always feel sorry for the other band mates just as much or even more than GD, TOP or the girl.. Imagine your girl asking your friends to keep her illness a secret. How terrible that must be for them to watch you spiral out of control or to watch your friend sacrifice his friendship with you thinking that he’s protecting you. Imagine if Taeyang hadn’t called GD what would’ve happened? Can you imagine the other four members sitting you down to say hey your girl had surgery for a brain tumor today but she didn’t make it and yes we all knew but couldn’t tell you because she didn’t think you could handle it. The situation is horrible no matter how you look at it. I think that’s why tit’s ( the video & song) so impactful.😪
