I love how this piece mixes romantism with... let's say... something else😊. I love Poulenc!
So beautiful....reminds us all of the resilience of the human spirit.

A beautiful composition!!
A measured and focused expression of just one of many examples of the unexpected twists and turns of French expressionism. By not overreaching, as do so many performers of the piece, you emphasize the poignancy of an underrated composition and composer. Thank you, Mr Rutman!

I actually did an organ recital at St. Mary’s a few years ago. My memory is coming back… This piano work is extremely beautiful. The way he performs sounds so easy as his technique and musicianship are amazing!

You are very good and Poulenc is really brilliant. My choir sang "Les Tisserands" in quarantine style. Write this in the search: you will love it for sure!

Actually this piece is very easy to learn, but extremely hard to accentuate. The main melodies can be played with 1 finger, but it's difficult to highlight them among all the others.
Highlights how crucial voice leading/control of dynamics is in presenting the different lines.
His hands flow like water across the keys.

There are too many notes that don't agree with the score (0:31, 0:50, 0:58, 1:58, 2:00, 2:21, 2:33, 2:48, 3:21, 4:12, 4:32, 4:51,4:59, 5:12) Especially the highest flat A (should be F because it's a treble clef there) at 5:12 is so wrong that my ears couldn't tolerate it as a person who plays this piece. If you are learning this piece please don't use this version as your reference. IMO the performer should read the score carefully and respect the original score.
Now I'm really depressed
Real shame about the guy shuffling off at the end. Disrespectful.
live audience and all
I've gotta' go with he didn't know he was being filmed.
Some people have no manners.
This is a snooze. Nothing of Poulenc's quirkyness, no sensuality...just...notes, and here and there some procastinated downbeats.
Debussy on valium
Beautiful!
