@colecook834 when an ACE digimon would basically be removed from the field. The player with that digimon loses memory, so losing an ACE digimon with could potentially be game changing as it can reduce ur memory far enough to play your opp turn
Awesome to see that the Light Fang and Night Claw cards synergize so well together, but I was wondering if anyone was trying to build decks with them separately. I'm trying to see if Dianamon could work in decks that have a lot of digivolution card manipulation like Zudomon, Mermaimon, or Aegisdramon
Yes; Dianamon and Apollomon work well as standalones outside their archetype. Apollomon is just a good red Blitz card that can work particually well in things like Gammamon as a big Sec nuker; and Dianamon is great in any Source removal deck. Of course; Apollomon is only 12k DP so is vulnerable to big bodies in security [Happens weirdly often for me]; and both Apollomon and Dianamon have evo costs of 4.
Dusk was one of my favorite Digimon games as a child I was looking forward for CardProtag to make a deck of them and I wasn't disappointed, definitely gonna pre order them once it comes to America.

I used to do this except stronger in EX3 with Ice Wall and Examon. Pass you 1 memory under Ice Wall, Slayerdramon forces you to attack, Ice Wall ends your turn. But also I block you, since Examon killed something in battle Breakdramon's inherit (or actual skill if I have one on board, and this happens per Breakdramon as well) trashes 1 security. Since Examon suspended, it unsuspends and suspends one of your other digimon of my choice as well. So I skip your turn, trash your security and break your board, all at once. And I'm not dependent on you having an ACE either, just on you not having a memory setter up yet.
Kaiser Nail isnt included into your decklist and you are already at 50 cards in the GraceNovamon deck. Did you guys add the Kaiser at the last second for an epic ending?
As much as I like the deck it possible they made a mistake and put an extra blue boost by mistake, or they did it entirely for style points to make the match look more epic than what it was
I am so glad to see GraceNovamon is finally coming to the DigiTCG. Dawn/Dusk were my favorite games to play as a kid, and seeing this is awesome. def gonna play this when it comes out

that is the inherent weakness in using ace monsters. if you can end of turn blast them or start of opponent turn remove them, you could potentially steal a turn.
I'm happy to see GraceNovamon since I've never heard of it but it's from what got me into Digimon (Dawn/Dusk was my jam). Pretty confused on the decklist for it though. There's no Kaiser Nail despite that being a spicy tech, so is there just an error? Hope this gets cleared up, but this is a great way to show off the themes of Dawn and Dusk in the TCG.
it's very weird but also cool to see the DS games getting represented in the card game because i feel like they overall left very little impact in the franchise overall
I could see why he said this as they weren't big sellers and most people who are old school fans know nothing of the original DS games. That said, they were still the first games to introduce the point members of the Olympus XII. Olympus XII > Royal Knights. Fight Me.
I love how Dawn/Dusk got represented, and can't wait for the set to make it. That deck list is similar to how I have my planned out and I proxy tested against my friend who religiously runs Hunters and while he ultimately won the match, he was getting fed up with my BS lol
I'm a bit confused with the play starting at 7:57 , particularly the last line of Sayo and Koh's effect. "Digimon played by this effect are returned to your hand at the end of the turn." Yet GraceNovamon didn't return to the player's hand. Did the jogress not count as being played by that effect, making the Dianamon the only card it could have referenced?
I really like how you can place the devas into the breeding area & get them out for free that way. Also where can I get those card sleeves. I really want the one with the crest on it.
I was teetering on it, but ya'll convinced me to build GraceNovamon. Digimon Dawn/Dusk was probably one of my favorite games in the series, so it's nice to see cards based off of it! ^^
The DNA Digivolved Digimon is treated as an entirely new Digimon- that "return to hand" effect is to punish you for _not_ going into GraceNova when using the Night Claw tamer's effects.

Sayo and koh returns the digimon that is played by the effect back to the hand. Per the rules of dna digivolution: its considered a whole new digimon, all its inheritables that are once per turn can be reactivated since its new, and has rush. Since its a different digimon from dna does not return to hand. This is the same way imperialdramon deck works for there free play of wormon/veemon.
I think you're right It is a mis-play And GNova effect only work with "When this Digimon would leave the battle area by an opponent's effect" So yeah, it should have been returned to hand
@@Redivan13 Its not. The digimon played was Dianamon. Gracenovamon was DNA digivolved, which is a new digimon per the rules. The return to hand only happens if you don't DNA Digivolve
This was a cool match! Although I am a little sad that although we finally see Fanglongmon in action it's not partly red and therefore can't go into the deck I wanted it for. Personal woes aside loved the video guys!

Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but didn't Protag lose when he digivolved Lekismon in to Flaremon? There's no deck left for him to draw from, and the digivolution forces a required draw. Because there's nothing to draw, it's counted as a deck out and thus a loss?

yeah. that fanglongmon deck felt like it was holding back.
I believe the in-training moonmon is not counted as part of the main deck, so there are 4 free slots for cards.

How well does the Memory Boosts work for the Gracenova deck? Besides the split color ratios, the deck runs a fair number of non-digimon too.
The Dawn and Dusk archetype has a really strong draw and search power

Having tested both decks, this is not the norm. The 4 Devas are a lot more consistent than GraceNovamon.

You only lose due deckout during the draw phase of your turn.
Deckout only occurs during the Draw Phase. It doesn't matter if you can't draw when evolving.
