Refroidir - to cool
Je refroidis I'eau avec des glaçons - I cool the water with ice cubes.
Chauffer - to heat
Elle chauffeur du lait - she's heating up some milk.
Trancher - to slice
Il tranche le jambon - he's slicing the ham
Émincer - to slice thinly
Elle émince les légumes - she slices the vegetables thinly.
Hacher - to mince/to grind
Je vais hacher la viande - I'm going to grind the meat
Râper - to grate
Elle râpe du fromage Sur la pizza - she's heating cheese on the pizza
Casser - to break/to crack
Je casse un œuf - I'm cracking an egg
Remplir - to fill
Je remplis Mon verre d'eau - I'm filling my glass with water.
Assaisonner - to season
Il assaisonne la soupe Avec des épices - he seasons the soup with spices.
Saler - to salt
Poivrer - to pepper
