Bro, you touched on a lot of points one needs to protect their home. Camera security system is a must in this day and age when there are wireless battery operated security systems that can easily bypass Dumsor while still protecting your property. There are also motion-sensor dual lights with camera built in them that can be useful to protecting your home
The one must have in security system is a big dog or two. Sorry but dogs like Murphy won’t scare anyone but some people love them. I have one of those but my wife bought that and I on the other hand got a Great Dane, now that’s what I call a big dog. Cane Corso are on top of most dogs as number one. If a thief comes to the house of someone with a Cane Corso, they may as well buy their coffin before they come to that house as those dogs are created to kill yet protect they family they belong to with all their might. Big dogs are a must as they’re Dumsor-proof. We went out of the house and a small goat sneaked into the house and was decapitated by my Dane, we felt sorry when we saw it but in fairness the dog was protecting its territory

You said it all. The key is to have a mixture of layers you are comfortable with. I definitely will have dogs but not every one is comfortable around dogs so they can opt to combine a mix that doesn’t include them. Even parrots have been found to disrupt intruders…

Do people respect warning signs in Ghana?

Generally no; LOL. But if a sign deters one person, it did its job.
