► Welcome to a new WDW vlog series from back in January 2024! In this video, my mum and I travel from London's Heathrow airport to Orlando MCO, with a layover in Atlanta airport - the biggest airport in the world! In this video, I show you my experience with Virgin Atlantic Upper Class, from the Clubhouse Lounge at Heathrow, to the on flight experience and more!
We get to Walt Disney World very late in the evening, but have a lovely surprise when we check into Disney's Grand Floridian Resort!

Sorry for the loss of your mum x. I lost my dad in 2019. My dream was to travel with him and to have business class seats. I'll be doing it for the two of us soon.

Just 2 weeks before my Mum passed, she told me she was really excited about the announcement that Disney Cruises would sail out of Singapore (where we live) in 2025. Right now, the thought of going without her makes me really sad. It is brave that you are still honouring your Dad. I hope you have an awesome trip for your Dad and I truly believe he will be there right next to you.
How lovely to share this with your mum ❤ DLP was mine and my mum’s special place i got my love for theme parks from her. Now everytime i visit disneyland i feel like she’s with me 😭❤️❤️ it’s important to make these memories. glad she’s recovering well, hope you are as well.

I got to take my mom to hawaii twice. the second time was 15 years later. we sat under the famous banyan tree in maui and she just kept saying I cannot believe we are here again. I’ve lost her since but the memoeries are forever.

Great travel day view of non direct. Hope you are recovering well. Nice to have your vlogs back as they are brilliant. So glad your Atlanta connection was without incident. Usually Atlanta has a lot of issues, from delay landing or take off or multiple gate changes, or cancelled flights

I haven't been to America, but when i fly i always ask for assistance because of my wheelchair (and to pick up the suitcase because i can't do that on my own). And wherever i go, it is always amazing! They always take it serious and are always helpful. Everywhere around the world

Such a special trip for you & your mum, a long travel day but happy it was so seamless and straightforward. We’ve travelled in-direct through the US before and it’s interesting to see the differences as we didn’t need to collect our bags, which did help to make things easier! Looking forward to seeing the rest of the trip ☺️

Hey Sam, I hope your mum has a good experience in Disney World. I'm just wondering when you're home if you could do a video on DAS? I can't see us going back this year, but I think my mum and I might eventually take my niece back to Disneyland but since then Mum has had a serious knee operation and I would be interested in mobility options for her.
Thank you :) We didn't end up needing to use DAS, and just took things very slow and only did a few rides (my mum isn't keen on rides) x
Hi I’m flying VA to Atlanta next weekend for a connection to San Antonio Texas. Please can you tell me what the connection is like? Do you need to collect bags and recheck in? How do you change terminals? How smooth is customs? I’m stressed to the high hilt because I don’t know what I’m doing 😂😭
I flew into NY to fly on to San Francisco, and had to bag drop. But we didn't on the return flight from Atlanta to Manchester. That was with Virgin/ Delta .

Yeah i didn't like Virgin Upper Class much. I like the lounge at Heathrow. I found one of the staff very nasty to me on my flight. It was 2nd virgin upper class flight and i wanted to see the difference between lying down n bed mode to just having the seat. As i slept lying down on my 1st flight and found it to be amazing as i arrived to Orlando really fresh. So on this flight she was annoyed at me for to having my seat turned into a bed and was very hostile about it with me. The experience really made me consider whether i would fly upper class again. Plus the food options are not to my taste or the drink options. I think the lounge is probably best eat up on food and drink there.
Agreed, the lounge is the best thing about Virgin Upper Class - but I appreciate being able to sleep on any plane :)

Yeah, as it may be a customer's first time or 2nd time. I think the staff should be aware that a customer may want to try the flight out differently to see what makes the flight the best for them. Admittedly the seat being flat is better for sleeping but I like to try it out to make sure. I wish they could serve things more tailored to my tastes. Have a Chris menu that is selected when he flies with us.
I see you are at the grand Floridian a great hotel. Have they finished the re-modeling of the foyer. I enjoyed the foyer on my visit. Would have loved to see inside the wedding venue to see the magnifying glass, that makes Cinderella's castle bigger at the right distance. So it looks like the castle is in-between the bridge and groom.
The pelotons is where the spa used to be. Such a shame as so many lost their jobs

@Sam4G0d another interesting fact is on the slightly older style configuration of upper class you can stay laying down when the seatbelt sign comes on as long as you use the flatbed seatbelt
I hope you Mom does OK in Disneyworld. I just got back on a trip to Disneyworld with my niece and Grandniece. I had a major knee and leg surgery the end of October, I am 70 and the trip was much harder on me than I had anticipated. I did really well on day 1 and 2, day 3 at Epcot was awful, then day 4 at animal kingdom was good. All in all I had a wonderful time, I should have stayed longer to rest more and I should have rented a scooter too! I hope you both had a wonderful trip.
Ahh thank you! Glad you were able to have a wonderful time overall :) My mum and I took it VERY slow, and only spent a few hours in the park every day. It was a different kind of trip for me, but I let my mum choose what she feels most comfortable with, and her limit was only a few hours in each park - so we made the most of the resort
