DP48 is Potentially out at the end of March is what we’re hearing. It’s not available for Pre-Order since they haven’t finalized what the retail price is going to be. It may not be $399 even though that price is listed everywhere.
Daniel Walther I believe that functionality is supposed to be available but it wasn’t working at the time of this video. I will hook it all up again in the next week and see if the firmware updates on the song have made any difference. It will probably be a firmware update on the DP48 that will have to be done. Once the DP 48 is used a little more I’m sure they will put out firmware updates! I’ll keep you posted!
Luis Gregorio Jr yes it does work with the X32. It sends the signal over AES channels just like the P16 mixers. The P16 is limited to a combination of 16 channels/groups where as the DP 48 has the capability of 48 input channels which can be programmed to 12 groups/channels with independent volume of channels within groups. The DP48 sounds much better than the P16 as well.
Nice video! Do you know if the Dp48 will work with a Behringer XR18 in Ultranet mode? You were just about to go into the setup to show us, then you went on to something else. My band has a Midas m32r but I personally have a Behringer XR18 and want to buy this for use with both systems. Do you know if it will work by chance? Thanks!
Thank you for your post. I am presently considering upgrading our system at our church. Right now we are using the Roland M4 80 with the personal mixers, M48. Do you believe the DP 48 would be an upgrade?
Jason Raao the M48 has always been a favorite of mine as far as sound and build quality. I think the DP48 is going to be great. The display is nice and is something you don’t get on many personal mixers. The functionality is great. Its has a lot of features. It’s not to hard to learn and sounds great from the test I’ve done so far. Are you planning on getting the Behringer Wing console?
Brian Arrendell Thanks for your response Brian. That is the plan. We’re definitely ready for a new board. The M 48s are something at this point we can sell used to help pay for the new system. I really love the M48 for same reasons you do. I’m just cautious about lowering the quality bar on the personal monitoring for the stage in order to change the board out.
Jason Raao I think the console upgrade along with the DP 48 is definitely going to be a sound quality upgrade for your overall system. If you get a DL251 stagebox just a midas pro series one your overall sound quality from stage back to personal monitor mixer is going to be very good and the sound quality will be great. I don’t think you can go wrong with that set up… Now if you’re wanting to spend much more money on an overall system overhaul then that’s a different conversation and you may be able to get better results. I think he will have great results with the wing and the DP 48. I just think you should wait until maybe summer time or even late in 2020 to do an overhaul when they have worked out most of the bugs and kinks and have better firmware for the console. I’m sure they will have 2 or 3 firmware updates by that time.

George Savva I used a off-the-shelf cat 6 ethernet cable. For long-term use I would recommend shielded twisted pair cable. This is the recommendation from Midas/Behringer for connecting all of their peripheral devices.
Joseph Servellon My company is an authorized dealer for Midas/Behringer products. We ordered them the day of the press release. Very few are out for the public. The actual release is possibly late March from what I understand.
Is there a way to turn off the auto solo mode on the DP48? Very tough to fly blind in a performance when changing volume on one channel in a group.

Hey, what about the Input names in combination with the Wing? Will they be Displays at the dp48?

It doesn't look like it - Ultranet can't support the number of channels this thing does; looks like it has to be AES.
