! I paused each section and did the things.... video took longer to get to the end but by the end I had my IG optimized! *whew* Thank you for the amazing tips!
Great advice and very clear. Just a cautionary note for your audience. I did try to create a Highlight yesterday without posting it as a Story first and ended up watching at least 3 UA-cam videos for workarounds. You can do it, but it wasn’t that easy. 🙂
Thank you! 😊 So happy you found the content clear and the advice helpful. I'd love to hear more about the highlights you were creating without posting the Story first, was there a reason you wanted to skip uploading to Stories? (out of curiosity) - T
@ The Highlight was some photos of Packaging my paintings for shipping, which I felt were rather boring and not ‘on brand’ for me. While they could be considered part of my backstory the photos were visually bland and not artistic. Perhaps it’s just as artist thing. We can be that way. 😂 Now that I’m thinking about it I just realized how I can make the photos more artistic. ( I had taken them some time ago ). Thanks for asking.
DANG IT THANK YOU FOR SAYING BUSINESS CARDS ARE DONE!!!! Haven't used one in 15 years LOL. I did go through the process of keeping my profile consistent after watching another video and my stuff matches now. Aesthetics is missing but that will take making videos and or photos and 6 will begin the new change 🙂
I’ve had a business card design sitting in my Canva for months. I keep procrastinating printing it up. I still need to get some made so that when I’m meeting people quickly in the street or at events I can give them a card. But I love the idea of having my Instagram as my business card and just telling people to follow me there. Much less complicated than giving them 100 places to reach me.
@@SparkTheGenius Those are great examples of when a business card is still handy, but if someone finds you other ways, Instagram is the perfect platform for it. And you're 100% right, just giving them one place is optimal but also - if you have all of your @'s the same (eg @highseasonco everywhere, highseasonco.com), then they can find you wherever they look. Thanks for watching! - C
As far as the highlighted name. If you want your profile to pass the verification process that line must have your name matching your ID. Am I mistaken?
According to IG's guidelines, if you're an individual/creator, your profile name should match your real name on your IG, and for businesses, the profile name needs to be the registered business name and the provided ID also needs to match. Stage names or business nicknames are exceptions. - C
@@Highseasonco l was posting reels every day and if there was a post that was getting low views and engagement i would hit delete and there was an option that said remove to drafts, i remove reels for draft.. i wonder if it will reduce my views to non followers like deletion does
@@Erayboom Ah right. Thanks for clarifying. They haven't announced anything about that publicly that we've seen. You could test it a few times and monitor the numbers to see if there's any major difference, that'd be the best way to check for now - C

Right? They're not really common any more and just take up space. Get those aesthetics in line and you should be all set! Thanks for watching :) - C
