  • Are you always needing help to get those Hobie wheels under your yak when unloading or even when in the water?? Maybe even having to roll it on the side??
In the video that was my first time doing the wheels with a loaded kayak and also in the water..
Scott Lovig Hobie have these ready made up for $35
    slhobie.com.au...
Yes I'm sure you could make you're own but for only $35 i feel it's easier just to buy the kit.

I’m convinced now to do this. I’ve seen plenty of videos of people doing this but you’re the first I’ve seen in the water. I like that you hooked the first side before moving the kayak onto the wheels. That made the difference for me. I can’t see looking and searching for the bungee underneath the kayak and trying to hook it in the water. Thanks for the video 👍🏽

No worries mate! Couple of practice sessions in the back yard before heading out definitely does also help.

Awesome! I haven't seen it done that way. I have a similar setup for my wheels, however I attached the bugees directly to the cart and pull them up through the scupper holes. Same principle though :)

I dunno- I built it and it works, but I never use it. By the time he threads the bungees down through the scuppers I have grabbed the side H rail with my left hand and lifted the boat on it's side, insert the cart with my right hand, and am on the move...

Everyone does it differently mate. Easier for me this way, that way I don't lose anything from inside the yak by tipping it on the side.

Would that work with regular rope? I have seen some bad injuries to the eyes from bungees. Pulling that towards you w bungees makes me cringe a bit. Actually after a little thought, if you thread it under the cargo tie down bungees it would nullify that threat.

Yeah it possibly could work. And yes your right about the bungee! It came off once and smashed me in the face, luckily I had my sunnies on!

Fair enough, but first I seen of it is when I was buying the beach wheels on lovig website.
