You are looking at it from perspective of player. Now look at it from perspective of game dev industry. Diablo 4 did what it was supposed to. You have to understand that goal of game developers is NOT to make good game for you. Its their job and goal of a job is to make money. Diablo 4 sold way more than Last Epoch therefore its successful. Playing offline is massive L because if game has all files and doesnt require server to play then there will be people which crack it and play without buying which results in less sales. I agree Last Epoch is better game for us players but reality is that money rules the world.

Offline mode will never negatively affect your game sales because most people want to play in a trade economy. People would go offline, make an utterly broken character, and then go back online and win the top spot on the leaderboards. The leaderboards would be nothing but a cheat-fest to see who could make the most broken character by not playing the game.
The longer i play LE the less fun i have. I wanted to love it but its just average. The campaign is boring as fuck and the complexity just doesn't matter because 10 dudes will run the numbers and the rest will use their builds, that's how all aRPG games work no matter if they are complex or not. I will continue playing, maybe it will get better.

For example in PoE when you try your own build and get to end game you can just delete your character because you will not be able to kill anything if your not a god at making builds.

I feel like people are lying just to continue to talk and hate on diablo. I played Last Epoch for hours hoping it would get better but its pretty bad. Looks terrible, very linear and class skillls/upgrades I really wasnt impressed

Playing offline is a massive W. The game was originally designed around solo-play.
Most proper ARPGs are designed around 'solo-play'. Otherwise, you get something like Lost Ark.

LE is not a competition for D4. D4 does not stand a chance at all.
