    Great video, Thank You so much for sharing your experience with this coach. As a retired firefighter I feel that I really should warn you about running extension cords under your daughters mattress, especially with the cheap light weight cords. The vast majority of fires that I experienced were from electrical issues and many from extension cords being ran under rugs, carpet or through walls. Safe travels and maybe some day we will meet up while camping. 👨🏻‍🚒

      It’s held up pretty well over our 3 years of use. We’ve had our fair share of problems, but then every rv will be that way! Best thing to do is while still under your first year of warranty scrutinize EVERYTHING, and don’t put off putting in requests. I always say one of the most important things about owning an rv is having a good service provider, and doing routine maintenance. Good luck!

    Nice tour I am looking At your camper or the 311. love both but i really want a better outside kitchen . But I also want the ability to add a washer and dryer and the 311 doesn't allow you to.so i really don't know with one yet. We just lost our brand new trailer to a tree that fell and literally crushed it . Good luck with your new camper it is really one of the nicest out there.

      Bummer about your camper! We wanted an outdoor kitchen area too, but a sink wasn't very important, so when we found out the 367 has an LP quick connect (forgot to mention that in the vid) just below the fridge area, we created our own outdoor kitchen! We simply set up a folding table, put the grill there, and then I have a table and extra "counter" space next to the fridge. Perfect for us, and since our main desire was the rear living, we got everything we wanted! The 367 is a little bigger than the 311, but worth it to us. Good luck with your search!

Your GD is a perfect fit for your ram, I have a 2018 3500 dodge ram which is plenty for our 5th wheel, having the 6 leveler jacks are great and I wish mines had 6 instead of 4 but it works with my JT Strong Arm setup. • @LivingaLifeFulfilled
      @LivingaLifeFulfilled  3 роки тому +2

      That's so exciting, congratulations! It's actually held up very well. The biggest adjustment for me was the tail swing on this beast, so definitely give yourself plenty of room, and don't put anything valuable in the very rear storage since it bounces so much. The only real issue we've had was we just recently broke our sliding window over the recliners. Nothing we did, it just shattered in my hand probably due to friction. Make sure you keep them lubed up (even though I thought I was!), but that is possible on any brand of trailer. I've never really been a fan of sliding windows... Other than that, it's been a great trailer with no major issues!

    Beautiful! Do you think I'd be okay to tow this with a Diesel Silverado 2500? My payload is 3300lbs. We carry about 700lbs in the truck...that's all of us and our junk. That doesn't include any weight for a 5th wheel hitch.

    • @LivingaLifeFulfilled
      @LivingaLifeFulfilled  2 роки тому

      Honestly... I wouldn't. I've seen quite a few people who have, so it's "possible", but the pin weight fully loaded on this can get up to 3,000 lbs. If it were me I'd be constantly worried about weight and squat. Even with my 3500 with air suspension we're pushing it (my family does weigh more though)! A 31 MB is also a great floorplan we had looked into though. Good luck with whatever you decide!

    i have the exact same camper but my "outdoor kitchen" does not have the usb ports like yours does. Also, is there an adapter you use to connect your grill to the quick connect or do you need a certain type of grill? we currently use two grills that utilize the 2 pound tanks.

    • @LivingaLifeFulfilled
      @LivingaLifeFulfilled  3 роки тому

      We ordered a quick connect hose here amzn.to/3cTcYuu . Just make sure the connection port is the same as on your grill. You won't need a regulator since the camper itself has one already. We also have another hose that can connect directly to a large propane tank using a regulator. amzn.to/30uib74 There are many options available, but this is what has worked for us at home and on the road! Hope that helps!

    I know I am late to the party, but what size mattresses are in the bunk room? Could you make it so 2 adults could sleep in there and not be on the floor, i.e. queen air mattress turned a different way? Also what size does the pullout sofa in living area open up to? Queen? I love your detail description of the RV.

    • @LivingaLifeFulfilled
      @LivingaLifeFulfilled  3 роки тому +1

      The pullout sofas in the living room and bunk room are identical. They both pull out to roughly a double size bed (but a little shorter). My boys (6 feet tall) only like sleeping on them if they are alone so they can sleep diagonally. You could sleep 2, but it wouldn't be as comfortable. We removed the mid bunk sofa and were able to fit a twin mattress lengthwise in the slide, so you could fit a residential double mattress (possibly even a queen) so it sticks out in the room, but then you'd have to figure out how to get it out of the way to bring the slide in, so I do like your air mattress idea! The only problem with that would be the floor height... the slide is actually a little higher, so there is a little drop down to the center of the room. That's why our solution was to stack 2 twin mattresses so once the slide is out we can "un-stack" them and have two separate twin beds on the floor in the bunk room. It's actually a rather large room so I'm sure customization options are endless!

    • @steveheslin3915
      @steveheslin3915 3 роки тому

      @@LivingaLifeFulfilled Would they fit the other way with the mattresses side by side with the head into the slide? I was thinking that may work with some kind of base that can be broken down. One of these showed up at a local dealer, a used 2020. We have been trying to figure out the best way to have adults with us and not put them into one of those uncomfortable mini fold out beds and give them a little privacy. The one I saw already had the love seat removed, so they must have done something similar. This Fifth Wheel may finally be our best choice!

    • @LivingaLifeFulfilled
      @LivingaLifeFulfilled  3 роки тому

      @@steveheslin3915 I'm not sure it would since the slide is about 6'2" wide, and a twin mattress is about 3'2" wide... so 2 would be pretty squished. You can order custom mattresses, but that could get kinda pricey, even if you do figure out the floor height issue. But anything is possible with a little work! This trailer would definitely give you options for upgrades and customization though.

    Love your comprehensive review! The wife and I will be empty nesters next spring and are going to sell the house and “full time” for a while. I am in IT and have a remote job. Just need an internet connection and an office so this 367bhs is the leading candidate! But I have a question about your truck. Love that the SRW is working for you because I really don’t want a duelly. But how is does that standard bed length feel after a season of use? Did you have any issues with that 42’ trailer trying to wag your truck at all? Any regrets not getting a long bed? What about the smaller fuel tank on the shorter beds?

    • @LivingaLifeFulfilled
      @LivingaLifeFulfilled  3 роки тому

      That's so exciting! I actually love my SRW. I didn't want a dually either, mainly because this is still my daily driver, and it wouldn't have fit in our current garage! The only short bed concerns I had were with tight corners and the possibility of the trailer coming in contact with the cab, but it's been a non issue. I've never even come close, and it's probably in part to my PullRite Superlite hitch giving me a few extra inches of clearance without needing a slider. The only time I ever really felt the trailer move significantly was just a couple of weeks ago when we were driving in high winds with gusts of 40mph. But even then I never felt in danger of being out of control, we just took it slower. A dually would definitely be more stable, but I've never regretted my choice, especially once we unhook and drive around town. And the fuel tank is really only a few gallons difference, but with a diesel it's really easy to go to any truck stop and use the truck lanes. So all in all... I plan on keeping this truck and trailer combo for a long time!

    • @LivingaLifeFulfilled
      @LivingaLifeFulfilled  3 роки тому +1

      It can be difficult if the lines are under pressure (and they usually are), so it's definitely not easy. You have to press the outer ring in while inserting or removing the hose. It's basically a quick connect nozzle. I would drain the lines and try it once with no water pressure to see if it's just stuck, but after that I'm not sure! May need to ask the dealer if you got a faulty valve. Hope that helps!

    Looks like you are towing this 367 BHS with a SRW Ram 3500. I have the mega cab version with the short bed so I will likely need a slider hitch but I am considering this rig. I am curious your take on how the truck does with such a large camper and not being a dually?

    • @LivingaLifeFulfilled
      @LivingaLifeFulfilled  3 роки тому

      I think it handles it great! It's never struggled with control, even when we were driving in 40mph wind gusts. I'm sure being a mid profile helps with that, and it's not extremely heavy for how long it is. We're currently on a trip that we drove with a full tank of water, and it actually handles better when it's loaded! That being said, I do have the air suspension which helps. I don't have a slider hitch but with the PullRite SuperLite (keeps cargo weight down) I've never had clearance issues, but I do have to at least think about. I can probably get to about 80 degrees with it. I'd say this is a great rig for a SRW. Good luck!

      We have a RAM 3500 short bed diesel, you can check out the review here ua-cam.com/video/iK27nd3Pus0/v-deo.html . As far as your other questions... you can find most of that out on the Grand Design website, but they do have models with a true outside kitchen (the 28BH and 311BHS are bunkhouses with outside kitchens). The washer/dryer is usually an option in the Reflection line (not pre-installed), but you can have the dealer you purchase it from install it if you're not comfortable adding it yourself.

    • @LivingaLifeFulfilled

      It's actually not a "standard" size, but we found that we can fit a twin mattress in the slide IF it's foam or flexible, which is what you see in the video. So the width of the slide itself is about the length (head to toe) of a twin mattress. Hope that makes sense and helps!

      @LivingaLifeFulfilled  3 роки тому +1

      I don't mind sharing if you'd really like to see it! Just send me an email (in the about tab) or direct message me on Instagram or Facebook. Also, we have a 3500 diesel and I wouldn't recommend anything smaller with this size of fifth wheel. You could probably get away with a gas engine (barely), but I prefer diesel and now I can use the truck lanes! Payload is one of the biggest issues with a 2500 though, and since I didn't want to be limited we went with the 3500.

    • @energypowerification

      Also another note a 2500 Ram is the same as a 3500 with exception of the coil springs in the rear. The 3500 had leafs. The coul springs will make your truck very bouncy and lots of sway. Can you tow it, yes but you will be puckered up the whole way

    Great video. Thinking of buying the same rv. what kind of pickup truck do you use with this rv? With this length + the pickup do places like Crackle barrel and Walmart let you stay for the night?

      We tow with a RAM3500 short bed. We haven't done any parking lot stays yet, but Walmart doesn't usually have a size limit, it's just if they have room and if they allow it at all. Cracker Barrel sometimes has RV parking, but this is most likely too big to fit in any of those (overall we're about 58'). You'd have to find another part of the lot!

      @@LivingaLifeFulfilled thanks. Being a newbee about to buy his first rv ever, may I ask you one more question? let's say you cannot plug to shore power for 24 hours, do your lights, your tv and a computer you would plug in an outlet run on the single battery you have in the front compartment under the bedroom or do they run on an inverter that come with the rv? And I am guessing if you want to run the AC you have to buy a $4000 generator that you would but in the same compartment? thanks

      Your lights and anything 12volt (bathroom fan, water pump, etc) would run, but any 110 plugs like TV or computer would need an inverter to work, and a standard 12volt battery would not power an inverter for very long, so you'd probably want to invest in better batteries. You could get a generator, but to power an ac unit, you're right, it would take a very powerful one!

      Forgot to mention, most 5th wheels don't come with an inverter, unless it's strictly for a residential fridge... otherwise you'd have to add it or order it extra.

      Do you have air bags on your ram 3500? Do you have leaf springs on your truck or coil?

    I don’t think pullrite superlite hitches are approve hitch and they can void your warranty.

      I did extensive research when buying the hitch, and this topic seemed to be a hot one! After doing some digging of my own I couldn't find anything in writing to back this up (which most attorneys would say is very important to have), but did find that many buyers and dealers have reached out to multiple trailer manufacturers to ask about this. The common reply was the only time it could void a warranty (usually due to frame damage) was when it was found to be, without a doubt, the reason for the damage was due to improper installation of the hitch. Upon further research... this is true of all hitches!! This is why I made sure to follow the detailed instructions and recommendations for install, and if you have a dealer do it for you, don't assume it's done right. This is of course just my own findings, so always make sure to do your own research on ANY hitch before using, but also don't just take peoples opinions or rumors as fact... find out for yourself! I found enough info for myself to feel confident in the purchase and use of this hitch. I'm going to be doing a detailed review video on this Pullrite hitch eventually, and I'll try to cover all of this in that one as well. Thanks for the comment and concern!

    Are you pulling with 3/4ton? Nice rig.

      No, we have a RAM 3500. The payload on a 3/4 ton would typically not be enough for a trailer with this much pin weight. The 3500 handles it great though!
