- Bass cover of "How Did We Get So Dark" by Royal Blood. Decided not to do a tab for this one since I'm guessing most people don't want to play in C Standard tuning unless they're tuning up their 5 string bass. Probably my favorite tune by Royal Blood, this song just hits so hard. I stacked the Zvex Mastotron & Way Huge Green Rhino for the guitar track with the OC5 an octave up. For the bass track I used the preamp on the Sonicake Boom Avenue. Enjoy!

Great song, and great cover! I love the tone! Royal Blood was the band that really got me interested in pedals. If I feel the need to use C Standard, I either tune my five-string up a half-step, or put a capo on the first fret.
Thanks! Yes tuning up a 5 string or using a capo is probably the easiest way to get C standard, but my 5 string is active and I prefer to use a passive bass for these Royal Blood songs

Did you use an octave pedal or plugin to get the guitar track?
I split my signal with the BOSS TU3 tuner for a guitar & bass track. For my "guitar" track I used the OC5 with +1 octave up and then stacked my Way Huge Green Rhino & Zvex Mastotron for the dirt tone. Hope this helps!
