Hey bro, just watched. Thank you for the shout-out. I had to get off just before KMN about 3 weeks ago. Worked through the cardio issues, but I injured my foot. Have really bad tendinitis and still haven't healed. Keep on hiking strong and tell Bigfoot I said "what's up" Gonna hopefully give it another go next season. Keep in touch

Keep posting the Zeros and Town days, Frozen. They are all part of the journey, and seeing where you resupply, and downtime helps other who are planning.

You know…. I think that is the first time you’ve ever told that story on the leg scars. I’ve seen them and have always wondered if you had a repair. Glad you’re managing and wishing you some success in healing. You got this!!!

Tumeric can also help w treating pain. I also had softening of the underside of my knee cap- overuse from running…I was in an intense training program for work and made it through fine….pain and all. Mindfulness for now…I hope it doesnt bog you down too much. Such beautiful landscapes and love your videos! 😋🥾🥾⛺️😎

I’ve been guilty of this myself but your pain is from too many miles plain and simple. I have a thick skull and it took me a while to truly understand that. Once I dialed it down, the pain and injuries disappeared. You probably get tired of hearing this but it’s really that simple. Your injury rate is consistently exceeding your repair rate.

Frozen, Enjoying your journey. Pseudo-retired Sports Med Chiro here. Last stretch you show-draw large circles with knees while still holding ankle to buttock. Both directions (start knee forward and make circle; start knee backward and make circle) Great little-known ITB stretch that's helped a LOT of mystery/undiagnosed knee discomfort for patients in my past. Can also do while lying on the floor on your side. Hope that helps! (Vic: PCT Class of '26!)

Thanks. I'll try that. I've a left knee that locks like IT band is catching on something. I have to straighten leg very slowly and then something pops and frees up the patella and I can walk normally again 🤷🏼‍♂️

Hey Frozen, my mom told me she gave you a ride in Chester and you were concerned about finishing on your schedule. Just wanted to say that you’re already killing it for where you’re at and Oregon is gonna fly by. OR/WA are both pretty easy to manage consistent 25+ mile days and there isn’t too many vortexes. I’m confident you’ll finish with time to spare!! Have fun and stay safe!

When I first started hiking I had knee problems going downhill. It was very ouchy until I visited the dr & he administered a cortisone injection under the knee bone. Many kms/mi & years, later no pain. Yes. Exercise like you’re doing is definitely going to keep those annoying joints flexible.
I could hardly believe me eyes spying that snow especially since you said there wouldn’t be any. Great walk! Thx for the scenery.

Hey Jason, good job with todays video! At around 17:50 I could almost smell the pines. Like how you showed your daily routine with your stretching and use of the corkball. Going to have to start a regimen to see if it helps my 66 year old muscles. Want to enjoy the scenery while I'm walking. Watching you and Bigfoot is really inspiring me. Gotta laugh, you guys walk farther in 1 day than I do in 1 week!

With you uploading the vids 2 weeks late, I can only imagine you by now, are past Lassen NP. I was there (driving wise) last SEP and I was amazed at the fire damage from the Dixie fire. The miles clicking off per day should be getting you closer to the state line as well. Keep stretching and listening to your body and before you know it, you will be at the US/CAN border. Just wish I was there too but who knows what next year will bring ? Also, I am concerned for you two as well as the others as I see the temp's out in that area are in the 100's already. Stay safe and keep the eyes/ears open - good luck !

Wow the trail sure has overgrown outside sierra city. I saw quite a few rattlers up there during my hikes. Project more positive thoughts, see success and try to slow down a bit so you can heal. The attrition rate is NORMAL. Keep up the stretching and self care, load up on animal fats when you can and you’ll be fine.

Hey Frozen, I hope you're enjoying your thru-hike. I've heard (at-least in the cycling community) that iron supplements can be dangerous if you don't have an iron deficiency (which, I think is usually determined via a blood test). Are you finding it difficult to get enough iron from your food re-supplies? Really curious what food thru-hikers turn to for their daily dose of iron (But I imagine most don't think about it until its too late!).
