I believe we find one another on the other side of the Veil, but, what a sad story.😔 She was a better woman than I would’ve been, forgiving the nuns as she did. God love her.
I also just came from your live chat and another sad story about a mother losing her child and not fair that he died before she could find him. He was also looking for his mom. Sad what a story.
Thank You Sue for telling Philomena and Michael's/Anthony"s story and showing us his final resting place. I don't think I would have been so forgiving of the Nuns- Hateful women. RIP Michael. 😢💚
Thank you Sue for telling Philomena's story She never gave up looking for him Such a waste when the nuns knew and didn't put them in contact with each other Heartbreaking but unfortunately all too true 🍀
That's the worse part of it, they both did well in life and the last piece of the jigsaw, the nuns had but still didn't give it to Philomena or Michael, that to me was just awful 💔
I have seen the film Sue .Heartbreaking is an understatement .So sad that they never got to meet .The Nuns were so heartless and cruel .Thanks for sharing .Take care on your travels 🙏
Like 67 I watched that film philomena. Sue this is very good documentary from yourself on the history. It was great that she found his grave after all that happened. Very good video.
The nuns get a new immaculate grave yard - why or who looks after the old one in the grounds of the Abbey?? It deserves the same respect if not more than the nuns after the way the mothers and babies were MISTREATED BY THEIR OWN FAMILIES, SOCIETY, THE CHURCH & THE STATE. It's a brilliant film of courage & a fitting tribute to Philomena & Anthony R.I.P & to all mothers & children who suffered this terrible injustice. IT TAKES 2 PEOPLE TO CREATE A BABY - what about the men who walked away scott free of any blame & probably went to mass every Sunday? Where are the statistics of how many men stood up for the girl or wanted to marry them & keep the baby? And the world now knows of the historical abuse that went on in the church & schools run by religious orders & was covered up. The Tuam Mother & Baby case went world wide too.

This is such a heartbreaking story! I cried so much when I saw the movie. I'm glad that Michael's partner let Philomena in and showed her the video of their life together; at least she saw her son (he couldn't) and knew that he was loved and happy with his partner until he passed; may God bless his partner for his love and care🙏❤️🌹🤗😘 I'm sure that Michael is (now) resting peacefully within the loving arms of our Dear Lord (since his mom visited his grave); may God bless his dear soul🙏❤️🌹 What a sad story! My mother also came from Sean Ross. When we saw the film, I did some digging, and here's the thing, my mother was there when Anthony was there. When other family members saw the information, a lot of anger was brought up. The piano that's in the building was the one my mother remembered from the late '50s. She remembered the names of the two nuns that were mentioned in the film. We opened a lot of dark doors, and to be honest, it's worth it.

I just sad exactly that Susan, I didn't want to go into the nuns area after telling the story and I had planned to, I know not all were bad but I decided to keep the video just about Michael and Philomena x
Heartbreaking. Evil, money hungry nuns, how they could pretend that they cared about their gods teachings is unbelievable. I hope they got exactly what they deserved.
Just watched the movie not that long ago, so so very sad why the nuns got away with such behaviour is disgusting, am a catholic but i know that all nuns are not the same, God bless pholmiena & her son Michael, together at last safe in the arms of jesus rip 🙏🙏🙏🌹💔😪😪

The De la Salle Monastery in the village had an interesting exit way to this burial ground
One of the saddest true stories What was even more shocking is the nuns never told his mother that he went to the convent looking for his mother the Nums lied straight to Philomema's face I choose to think that he always knew his mother never abandoned him that's why he was buried back home in Ireland I was raised Catholic i wonder how the nuns explained their unforgivable behaviour when they arrived at those pearly gates I also choose to believe that there are some sins that cannot be forgiven no matter what the catholic church taught me about forgiveness of sins Some sins are just too evil
Hello Sue . Another amazing story so very sad , I just do not know why the nuns were so cruel where did this come from they must of been brainwashed in there early days . I am going to search for the movie . Thanks Sue .
wow another amazing sad story , I can relate to this one , my mother had me in one such home for unmarried mothers I was adopted and I did meet my mother at the age of 12 , two of my brothers and a sister were also adopted out we have only been able to find one who goes under a different name and does not wish to meet me but the others have no records we could find anywhere and we will never know what happened to them 😢
@@SerenitySueGraveyards I've learnt to live with it , I'm grateful I had loving adopted parents and went to a nice home , my mother had severe mental health and sadly she never wanted to reach out or care what happened to her children or give me any answers , I have father unknown on my birth certificate. the only thing I wonder if he or any of my siblings know or wonder about me . I just hope they are alive and well 🙏
Yes, you were lucky to have a lovely adopted family for sure, mental health is just awful, you're doing great despite all of this so you're strong 💪 ❤️
@@SerenitySueGraveyards thankyou xx you can sink or swim in life , as a nurse I've learnt to be grateful for so many things even life itself , so many people out there are not so lucky
May he rest in peace it's sad that mother and son didn't meet before he passed they need to clean the grounds not just where the nuns are buried but the whole place I got to hand to philomiena to forgive them
I'm sure his adopted family must have told him where he came from, what's really sad was 3 times he came to Ireland to find his mum and they knew where she was but they wouldn't tell him 💔
There has been a new law introduced here. It allows those to get access to their records and Tey trace their family, hopefully those records still exist
I can't believe people are so heartless when this could of been so easy and he could have met his birth mother. SHAME ON THOSE WHO DID NOT WANT TO BE BOTHERED.

How the Catholic church was never punished for they atrocities the took part in. This is not a loving religion its monsterous. My heart breaks for these woman and all the little children that lost their lifes and suffered horrendously in so many of these homes by so called men of god and brides of christ. May they pay for their sins in the after life.
Nothing new, Catholic Church sold Irish children for yrs and yrs they can never repay for this, knew a women who had been adopted in the same way when she was going through her adoptive fathers paper work when he had passed she found receipts her dad was still paying the Catholic Church for adopting her, what a huge industry no wonder the Catholic Church is so wealthy...
@jacquelinemartin9124 they could have passed over the information to either of them and they didn't. They made sure that they would never find each other. The "nuns" often lost records in these places, strange that
Here in the USA we didn't use the church as a dumping ground for unwed mothers and babies. Why would anyone expect the church to shoulder responsivities they didn't even want to shoulder themselves? That is not the role of any church! Family takes care of family; they don't hide them or abandon them to save faced in the community. Stop blaming someone else for personal dilemmas.
I understand where you're coming from but years ago it was the church who pushed young women into these places, they were unwed and sinners, the church also wouldn't let babies that were not baptised into a cemetery, they were buried outside graveyards. The church did a lot of wrong, we were afraid of the Church. Now having said that, some families were ashamed of these young pregnant unwed girls and left them there too..same thing happened all over the world including Canada. The government didn't help either. The church did not help these young girls or their babies, the nuns in Tuam buried babies in septic tanks, in waste ground. Men and women of the cloth abused children and these young women, so I'm sorry the church did nothing, instead of loving them they abused them, they lost valuable paper work and records and sold babies for adoption too. It breaks my heart and my thoughts are with them. Children are innocent. I'm definitely not saying they were all bad but the handful involved were Evil
It isn't about blame, but about truth. History has proved that these events occurred. The Catholic church was culpable. Families allowed their daughters to be incarcerated and labeled sinners. It happened. @@kristinebailey6554
It's not just the Catholic religion though. Christianity as a whole went sideways on the day men deciphered the scrolls and decided which bits should be put into church books to control the minions.
I believe we are all entitled to believe and either be religious or spiritual or have none, completely up to the individual, I also believe many wars were created out of hate for each others religion..but I don't blame religion completely for what happened here, there's a handful of evil and a lot of good out there, unfortunately...its terrible what happened and not only in Ireland..💔
@@SerenitySueGraveyards I agree with you Sue. I'm spiritual in a non religious sense. I try to find beauty and peace all around (nuzzling a horse is the bomb!). I respect and am grateful for everything on our planet, even if it frightens the bejeezus out of me. Lol, I tell a spider I'm sorry if I have to evict it. My emotions get the better of me at times, and I get super angry every time I read or hear about people who use their religious status to do really awful things in the name of Christ all around the world. Deb.
How sad that people manipulate the Bible and take God's name in vain by their own desire for power over others.. My heart aches for the Irish because of human cost imposed on them because of hypocrites who did not know Christ at all. So desperately sad.

He knew his mom might find him at the abbey. How heartbreaking.
It is a mystery to me how the nuns could live with themselves.
Isn't this so sad but Philomena is a wonderful woman, she forgave them. She's a better woman than I
@@SerenitySueGraveyards I couldn't have forgiven them either. What they did was not only morally wrong, but also against the law.
@@rosemimi973 they too will meet their maker
Sad they never found
Each other
It is Sheila💔
I have read the book it is so sad 😞😞keep up the great work👍..
Thanks Ann-Marie it is extremely sad x
Just watched the movie not that long ago, so so very sad why the nuns got away with such behaviour is disgusting, am a catholic but i know that all nuns are not the same, God bless pholmiena & her son Michael, together at last safe in the arms of jesus rip 🙏🙏🙏🌹💔😪😪
I agree, a handful of evil men and women in the Catholic faith, how could another human do this to this woman and her so, heartbreaking
Hi sue was very interesting story not seen the film but will watch it now . Just watched the film them nuns have alot to answer for
I haven't watched the full movie just parts but I need to x
Really sad
Oh it is Tammy
thanks for covering this. I lived only a couple of miles from here. 🙏🙏🙏🙏. Even as a young child growing up in the early 70's. I WAS TOLD TO OBEY or else I'd end up there. 🙏🙏🙏
Ahh did you, it's such an amazing little village, what a lady Philomena is, her heart is so forgiving 💖
@@SerenitySueGraveyards Nearby village of Castletown has a very old/unused graveyard. oh what fun we had playing on tomb stones and collecting those coloured stones. To think we could have been impaled on those Wrought iron fencing spikes. This was our playground. We didn't vandalise 🤣😇. The De la Salle Monastery in the village had an interesting exit way to this burial ground
Lol Shady, I used to do the same but I got in trouble bringing them home lol, I didn't do it again,, innocent fun, no harm ❤️
Thank you see you for a very moving but sad story.😢✝️🇺🇸👮🏻♂️
Thanks Mike another very sad one 😢
One of the saddest true stories
What was even more shocking is the nuns never told his mother that he went to the convent looking for his mother the Nums lied straight to Philomema's face
I choose to think that he always knew his mother never abandoned him that's why he was buried back home in Ireland
I was raised Catholic i wonder how the nuns explained their unforgivable behaviour when they arrived at those pearly gates
I also choose to believe that there are some sins that cannot be forgiven no matter what the catholic church taught me about forgiveness of sins
Some sins are just too evil
❤️❤️❤️
Hello Sue . Another amazing story so very sad , I just do not know why the nuns were so cruel where did this come from they must of been brainwashed in there early days . I am going to search for the movie . Thanks Sue .
Cheers Shaun, I received your emails, so I'll definitely take a look as soon as I can thanks for that, shocking heartbreaking stories 💔
wow another amazing sad story , I can relate to this one , my mother had me in one such home for unmarried mothers I was adopted and I did meet my mother at the age of 12 , two of my brothers and a sister were also adopted out we have only been able to find one who goes under a different name and does not wish to meet me but the others have no records we could find anywhere and we will never know what happened to them 😢
Thanks for sharing Julia, that's terribly sad 💔
That is very, very true
I seen the film so sad rest in peace Michael
I'll have to watch the full movie, certainly a sad one
God knew their hearts. Maybe He will bring them together again. And what a surprise! He was born on my birthday day! 😃
It's a very sad story, I do believe they will be reunited
unbelievable how ppl that are calling themselves christians can be so cruel
It's another sad story from another mother and baby home 💔
That's heartbreaking that she never got to meet her son.
It sure is Lauren and unnecessary as the nuns could easily have gave either of them details, sad they were both looking for each other but never met
Rest peacefully in God's loving yoke Michael. I would have never thought this would have happened in the 2000's, horrible!
It's extremely sad, wish they had met, he sure did well in life, just sad he became ill and they never met 💔
May he rest in peace it's sad that mother and son didn't meet before he passed they need to clean the grounds not just where the nuns are buried but the whole place I got to hand to philomiena to forgive them
Philomena is an amazing lady for sure, don't think I'd be so forgiving
Very sad how knew where he was born. Do you see if his mum would find him?
I'm sure his adopted family must have told him where he came from, what's really sad was 3 times he came to Ireland to find his mum and they knew where she was but they wouldn't tell him 💔
Rip Mike Amen 🙏.
Thanks Rodolfo ❤️🙏
It is reprehensible they wouldn’t let them find each other. There was no reason for it. I’m so sorry for them both. 😢
Me too but Philomena forgave them, which to me shows she is a beautiful lady, courageous and forgiving. I don't think I could ever.
Sue, Your husband Jim should start his own channel! You both will go worldwide! 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👌👌👌👌👌👌✌✌✌✌
I don't have a husband but my partner is grave Visitations and he has his own channel now x x
@@SerenitySueGraveyards OK! Thanks!
No problem Richard
@@SerenitySueGraveyards 👍 Your great!
Ahh thank you 😊
There needs to be some dna tests to reunite the remaining mothers and babies.
I know that's exactly the fact of the matter, why couldn't they just reunite them both 💔
Monday PM: Living in the southern US, I have air conditioning to cope with this extreme heat. I saw on the news that temperatures are at record levels in Europe. So sad how the Catholic Church treated the young women, and their children. They tried to separate them, but you can't take away love.
Very true Sandra x
very sad story, you dont do something like that without permission from the mother, forgiven nope never.
It's just another terrible story Rolf

How the Catholic church was never punished for they atrocities the took part in. This is not a loving religion its monsterous. My heart breaks for these woman and all the little children that lost their lifes and suffered horrendously in so many of these homes by so called men of god and brides of christ. May they pay for their sins in the after life.
Thank you ❤️

Hmmm! sad story. 😥 R.I.P. Why was he buried in that weed ridden lot?
It is very sad Richard, Philomena is one very strong lady
because the nuns plot is maintained and he didnt deserve it...neither did the babies of mothers who died there...the hypocrisy of this is crippling
Heart breaker.
Absolutely 💔
Nothing new, Catholic Church sold Irish children for yrs and yrs they can never repay for this, knew a women who had been adopted in the same way when she was going through her adoptive fathers paper work when he had passed she found receipts her dad was still paying the Catholic Church for adopting her, what a huge industry no wonder the Catholic Church is so wealthy...
So many horror stories 😢
If only they could have found each . How she forgave, I don’t know.
I know Shirley, I so wish this had a different ending, Philomena is truly a wonderful lady to forgive .
I cant forgive the nuns who taught me
Some were evil women
Michael Hess paid $20,000 to the abbey so his ashes could be buried there , in the hopes that his mother would find him. 💔
How sad, I'm happy she found him but sad he had already passed on.
@ I’m not sad, I’m frustrated and furious.
@jacquelinemartin9124 they could have passed over the information to either of them and they didn't. They made sure that they would never find each other. The "nuns" often lost records in these places, strange that
@ An “accidental “ fire burned the records in Sean Ross Abbey 🙄
Seems to have happened a lot in places like this..lost or burned
When the Roman church is collapsed and abolished, then and only then will times have changed.
Deb.
Thanks Deb, I think we should all take the time to acknowledge the beauty and wonder around us x
How sad that people manipulate the Bible and take God's name in vain by their own desire for power over others.. My heart aches for the Irish because of human cost imposed on them because of hypocrites who did not know Christ at all. So desperately sad.
It is so so sad, his mum, Philomena is an amazing strong lady and forgave the nuns, that speaks volumes of the kind of lady she is..if only she had met him before he died, so sad 😞
