You’re half right. Badgley was our starting kicker throughout the entirety of last year. He got cut and went somewhere else for a few weeks, got waived and we picked him back up where he sat behind Riley Patterson (Patterson was the Jags kicker last year who kicked the game winner vs the Chargers in the playoffs) recently he missed a few point after attempts and so we are going with Badgley again.

The current kicker in this video played for us last year. We brought in another kicker in the offseason to compete with him he lost the job even though they said it was close. They had a practice squad spot open so they brought this kicker back about 6 weeks ago to continue the competition. He beat out the kicker who beat him out to begin the season lol. Also the kicker who started the year missed a few extra points the last few weeks.

The other comments about the kicker are true but the main reason they dropped him was to make an open roster spot for back up QB Hendon Hooker, to give them 3 qbs heading into the playoffs for insurance. Hooker has been out most of the year on IR just to keep him on the team.
