I can see why you want to try snow chains. Do you have any weight in your rear rack cargo box? Perhaps a bag of gravel could help with the grip and if you get a lot of ice you can use the gravel to increase the grip. I want spring to come soon. A lot of ice here as the snow is melting fast in the rain and + degrees.
The cargo box have been frozen the whole winter, so I should had put something heavy in it before winter came. But if I get the chance I will see if I can put something in it to give better grip. Not fun with the icy roads there, so I just hope you will have spring very soon. But the sun is probably heating up pretty well every day. And yup chains would be great to have, but expensive if they wont fit.
