    I love your country man! My favorite country in Europe. I was on business in Europe and had to go to a new customer in Bucharest. I rode the CFR Călători ( I think that's it's name) though the mountains during the fall. Stunning landscape. Visited a few castles and fell in love with a beer called Timisoreana (I hope that's how you spell it). I am booking a three week vacation next month. Can't wait!

    I have been working in a stainless steel importing and distribution company for some time now, so it is nice to see how those tons of alloy are made.
    Though I am disappointed that they did not show the two main types of stainless steel- ferritic and austenitic and different grades of steel such as the common AISI 304s, 430s or the types of visuals such as polished, ground and so on. Nice video, tho lacking.

    I live in Florida- even though we have steel mills I've never heard of any schools even mentioning the process. Engineers need to learn from rock stars - how to put their jobs out there so kids are aware. It's sad that they'll take them to the zoo or Disney but never mention how products get there...

    I've seen this program, 7pm on Tuesday's, I forgot what channel but it is a European program. I think it was called something like: How do they do it?. I think it was also made in the UK.

      First humans thought of the "what if" ideas and then "how to". Then we experimented with whatever nature gave us using temperatures consisting of hot degrees and cold degrees. Once we established that we were able to form shapes. Unlike as most educational people currently you know and i know these shapes did include bizarre looking ones as you can surface the web to see what i mean by that. Thus us creating manual machines then technology during time has evolved as the goal is to relief hard labor as much as possible on a global scale. Now we got CNC machines that allow us to program all while it does our bidding. Trust me kid I'm on the same path as yours if not close enough for both of us to end up on the same video. When you really get interested about this stuff it does open a new world perspective. Believe me one day we'll both possibly have made a small difference in this huge world.

    While this video helped me to understand how it cant be cut like regular steel with a blow torch (the blow torch melts it as if it were aluminum), but at what point does it lose it's magntism? Is it when the other elements are added into the vad with the melted steal? Or is it the chrome?

    Recycling plastic and metal should be law, metals can be melted over and over and never slump in quality because their elements! I think land fill sites should be dug up and the glass metal and plastic should be recycled and the organic stuff burned for fuel or composted if it is not hazardous waste.

    • @steveclaptonfan9657
      @steveclaptonfan9657 8 років тому +3

      Stainless steel does not rust unless it comes in contact with other ferrous metals, or if the stainless is subjected to abrasion it will corrode as the oxide, which prevents corrosion, is worn off. The simple act of using a mild steel brush to clean a stainless weld is enough to cause some minor rust. Stainless steel does not rust or corrode when used under the proper conditions.
