I love your country man! My favorite country in Europe. I was on business in Europe and had to go to a new customer in Bucharest. I rode the CFR Călători ( I think that's it's name) though the mountains during the fall. Stunning landscape. Visited a few castles and fell in love with a beer called Timisoreana (I hope that's how you spell it). I am booking a three week vacation next month. Can't wait!
I have been working in a stainless steel importing and distribution company for some time now, so it is nice to see how those tons of alloy are made. Though I am disappointed that they did not show the two main types of stainless steel- ferritic and austenitic and different grades of steel such as the common AISI 304s, 430s or the types of visuals such as polished, ground and so on. Nice video, tho lacking.
I live in Florida- even though we have steel mills I've never heard of any schools even mentioning the process. Engineers need to learn from rock stars - how to put their jobs out there so kids are aware. It's sad that they'll take them to the zoo or Disney but never mention how products get there...
I've seen this program, 7pm on Tuesday's, I forgot what channel but it is a European program. I think it was called something like: How do they do it?. I think it was also made in the UK.
First humans thought of the "what if" ideas and then "how to". Then we experimented with whatever nature gave us using temperatures consisting of hot degrees and cold degrees. Once we established that we were able to form shapes. Unlike as most educational people currently you know and i know these shapes did include bizarre looking ones as you can surface the web to see what i mean by that. Thus us creating manual machines then technology during time has evolved as the goal is to relief hard labor as much as possible on a global scale. Now we got CNC machines that allow us to program all while it does our bidding. Trust me kid I'm on the same path as yours if not close enough for both of us to end up on the same video. When you really get interested about this stuff it does open a new world perspective. Believe me one day we'll both possibly have made a small difference in this huge world.
While this video helped me to understand how it cant be cut like regular steel with a blow torch (the blow torch melts it as if it were aluminum), but at what point does it lose it's magntism? Is it when the other elements are added into the vad with the melted steal? Or is it the chrome?
Recycling plastic and metal should be law, metals can be melted over and over and never slump in quality because their elements! I think land fill sites should be dug up and the glass metal and plastic should be recycled and the organic stuff burned for fuel or composted if it is not hazardous waste.
@elizabethlerer gee, I wonder, can we make hot molten steel on the range, by the way, you might want to check your insurance, both health and homeowner
Stainless steel does not rust unless it comes in contact with other ferrous metals, or if the stainless is subjected to abrasion it will corrode as the oxide, which prevents corrosion, is worn off. The simple act of using a mild steel brush to clean a stainless weld is enough to cause some minor rust. Stainless steel does not rust or corrode when used under the proper conditions.

it is actually a combination of elements,i always found it interesting when I worked at a scrap yard
Watching this video helped me save 15% or more on stainless steel.
A fine presentation. Very useful for students and general public.
Thats a huge electric arc furnace

Good to see how it's made!
Themachine at 4:42 is made by "Fagor", wich is part of the Mondragon Coop, the famous spanish cooperative, pretty cool
LOVE YOUR WORK
So the spoon I got in my mouth was once in a pile of metal trash.

it's fun and cool to know how things are made,
perfect vid for learning about steel i love it
I love it too
I wish they showed more of the finished process with the acid wash.

Fantastic Video... I'm going to add a link to my BLOG.
StainlessSteel lyhggjghjhhghgg
I want to know how they made the machines to make all this things
Amazing
Did you learn something after 7 years ago?

Would it be worth it to steal one of those rolls?
I volunteer to watch this for fun to understand my world and how it works.
What happened to this show? I love it!
how come the furnace doesnt melt ? whats the furnace made of ?
silverss onyoutube typically they're refractory lined.
@2hatelibs1 you do know that they produce shows like this in other countries right.
Lol, got this as part of a H/W portfolio from my Tech teacher
All of this completely is why it’s much much more expensive than regular steel
That's the wisdom of Iron Age humanity.
i fucking love u klot. u have my respect.
at 3:38 as it is comeing off i just want to lick it is that odd?

I guess we'll never know
awesome as hell video
Does chromium melt at lower temps then steel? It looked like they kept it nice and white hot making it without much problems though.
@defect530
Do u live in the us or uk.
You didnt show how stainless was made, only recycled from already made stainless, theres a differance!
yeah
that is good idea man
How?
@@shrutikumari5014 he finally got your reply after 11 years LOL
Good
They are brick lined and water cooled

Steel soup.... Sounds a bit spicy
interresting
guys who work here have balls of stainless steelxD
induction heating just boggles my mind
So... How it's made ?...the Stainless steel.
Info
Oh no, I have to learn things and increase my knowledge, whaaa whaaaa!
As am watching how it's made, am wondering who invented all those machines ? Who came up with the idea of "after this stage let's do this n that"
I was just curious
I hate welding stainless sometimes
I saw John Connor and T2
So many chemicals and lengthy process required for steel manufacturing.
The narrator sounds like Ringo Starr from time to time...
Oh so that's how it's made ...stainless steel is made from stainless steel!!! 😂
@agile52 ya it's scary isn't it :(
The people would explode. It would be dangerous for the people you didn't want to throw in
forget the steel! how do they make that chalk!?
i am watching this for entertainment :D

Millions of children wish they were at your place, instead of whining, learn.

I work here
How it changed? :))

Meanwhile, men's jobs.
This is how stainless steel works
@elizabethlerer gee, I wonder, can we make hot molten steel on the range, by the way, you might want to check your insurance, both health and homeowner
hahah ikr
imi place numele
I hope they don't recycle stainless steel toilets!!!
it still rust's, that's why it's called Stain LESS steel lol
